We called Charles at 10:30pm on a Friday night. He came very quickly and determined the problem was from a clogged line. He fixed it within 30 minutes and we had cold air that night. Thank God because August nights are hot in Texas!

Charles was great. He located the issue and is sending us am estimate this evening. He explained everything in detail and was super courteous. I will be calling Spencer again.

2026.02.03 David was really good, ... easy to communicate with. He ran static pressure tests under various conditions, showed me that my system was working within limits, explained the 4 heating fan speed options, discussed filter options, and resolved my concerns. He updated the HVAC software, and found a non-critical fault in the bluetooth that will require another visit. My 1 year old Carrier heating system is working fine and I now have more confidence in my overall system setup.

2025.07.24 Ben from Spencer's was right on time for my 1st AC checkup of my recent (Dec 2024) Carrier Infinity HVAC unit. Ben was professional, friendly, ready to help or answer questions. Checked the attic unit electrical, added anti-mold to wet areas, changed filter, advised me on filter MERV. Checked and hosed the compressor unit, inspected electrical (no starting capacitor on Infinity), temps. Checked supply and return vent temp differential = 19⁰-20⁰. I need to see the whole season, but initial AC costs are going down with this unit vs prior Bryant EER=16 unit. And very quiet AC operation. Pretty happy with Carrier and Spencer's so far.

2025.02.17 Mark was on time and started the heating check on my natural gas fired attic Carrier Infinity 5-ton HVAC that Spencer's installed back in December. Everything cycles ok, no CO detected, filter condition is very good, etc. We discussed multiple filter issues, moisture formation problems at two of my bedroom vents, possible causes and insulation changes that Spencer's installed that should fix it. Mark answered my questions and we were done in about 40 minutes. The Infinity unit is very quiet due to its multi stage design, so a big improvement from my single stage unit.

2023.06.21 Ray was on time and figured out the problem in a few minutes. He had replaced the outside capacitor and checked the inside capacitor within an hour, and my unit was back up again. Very happy, minimal impact during hot weather. I'm a Spencer fan (no pun intended). Ray is very friendly, but conscientious and gets the job done.

I called at 8 am to schedule an appointment. The technician Charles was here at 8:30!
He diagnosed the units inside and outside. And tested the thermostat as well. Charles was very professional and answered any questions we had. We've used Spencer every time we needed service. Thank you for the prompt and professional service today!

Beware these guys are super expensive. They found that the capacitor needs to be replaced. Their charges are $350 for changing the capacitor and $89 trip charge. I was able to get a 10% discount on $350 but it's still too high. When I inquired around the capacitor costs $10-'$20. The tech spent 10 -15 minutes to swap it out. I felt I was charged almost 3 times more than a reasonable charge

Mark the AC technician that was dispatched to our house was extremely professional, knowledgeable and friendly. He performed and completed the job fast and had our AC unit working fast.

My A/C stopped working on Memorial Day Monday. I called Spencer and Charles Wylie responded quickly on Monday. He came over and determined the thermostat had gone bad. We had to wait until Tuesday to get a new thermostat, Charles installed it and helped set up the app on my iPhone. Charles was great. Thanks, spencer!

Charles was fantastic. He was super helpful, patient with our questions, and helped us understand some of the issues we have been having with our units. He was also polite and detailed—all things that you appreciate with great customer service. He represents his company with pure class. We are in a commercial location, which means he had to get up on the roof for most of the visit, which is next-level hot this time of year, and yet he plugged away and had a great attitude. We really appreciate his work.

It is nice to find a Heating and Air Conditioning company that comes to your door and checks the system to make sure everything is working properly. Too many other companies send a sales person posing as a technician for the annual check up. I highly recommend Spencer. They are a very good company. Their techs are outstanding.

Update: I had an electrical issue with my ac unit. The tech did a great job making sure everything is working again and the new wires were run to the attic in a very professional and neat way. It works and looks outstanding. Thank you for doing a great job that looks as good as it works.
