I will definitely be enjoying this firepit again! Thanks to Brent from Polly Plumbing! He is very knowledgable and has a great ability to master the job and explain what is needed and why. He did an evaluation of why the firepit was not functioning and proceeded to explain and communicated all cost upfront. He was not pushing a service plan or anything like that, which made me trust that this company is for real helping customers get their plumbing issues resolved. Howze Plumbing (Chance) came out to evaluate our slab leak and was very thorough in his initial assessment. He came out in the late afternoon and was here until well past “normal” working hours. He phoned Taylor on the operations and finance side of the team, and they both walked us through every option available to repair our leak. They were on time, very informative, methodical, and gave us every bit of confidence we needed to make our decision.

When so many others in our neighborhood have recommended Howze, we were a bit taken back and surprised with our experience.
We asked for an estimate for them to install a water softener we had purchased. It was a highly recommended model and had received many positive ratings across multiple rating agencies and we felt comfortable getting it installed.
It was easy to schedule an appointment, although nobody showed up the first day and had to be rescheduled for the second day.
When the plumber finally arrived, we got our first lecture. 'This unit is terrible, nobody will install it and it will fail in less than 5 years.' Wow that was completely against everything we had read from our trusted sources, but we thought 'OK, let's see what you have instead'.
He then proceeded to go around our house and through our attic for no less than 4 hours trying to find where 'water comes into our house'. Knowing most of my neighbors had easy installs in their garages - our neighborhood is less than 10 years old - he never found the inlet and therefore claimed there will need to be lots of trenching and pipes going back and forth in our attic. This was starting to sound expensive and quite unbelievable.
The plumber then felt he had enough information to build an estimate and got to work on it - still not knowing where the water entered the house... He then asked if he could call his manager real quick so that the manager could ask us a few questions for quality assurance on how the plumber had done. He stated clearly that there would be "no hard sales pitch", just a quality check on his work for the day.
The manager turned out to be a graduate of the timeshare / used car hard pressure sales school. I can't believe people still think these techniques work. This guy jumped straight into the pressure tactics telling us we needed act today to take $1,700 off the price. Well when the price is already $10K over expectations, there was no need to proceed - including $8K of trenching our yard. We have a rule in our family that as soon as we get these hard sales pressure tactics, we automatically refuse to do business with them, which is what I recommend for anybody thinking about using Howze Plumbing in the future.

Great company to work with. Paula was very professional and guided me on what steps to take. Austin was timely, professional, spent the time to thoroughly study the area and prepare a detailed scope of work. Taylor, the manager, took time over the phone to understand the scope of work and provide the best deal possible. Overall experience with a great Company and people.
