I had an air conditioner that was not cooling. It’s 103 degrees outside and I needed immediate attention.

I was referred to Elite AC and contacted them this morning (Thursday 8/3/23). The receptionist was friendly and scheduled my appointment between 12:00 and 5:00pm. The technician called prior to arrival (3:15pm) and addressed the problem immediately. I was thankful he had parts with him. Travis was the technician and very professional and prompt.

I would refer Elite based on my first experience.

Pros and cons. Travis is a good person and a solid A/C tech. Unfortunately the owner - his father - is not interested in working to truly diagnose and repair difficult problems with A/C's. I have a home warranty - by design - they are the worst ... but companies like Elite sign up for this. Warranty companies band-aid issues rather than assertively addressing them. I have an intermittent problem. Elite insisted that I have my coils cleaned before they would even return to further diagnose my issue. This was on a Saturday and my AC was completely out. They quoted me $300 to clean the coils in both of my systems. I had this done with a different company for less on Sunday. The day they were coming out, Monday - I was called to confirm the time. I told the office manager what was going on and she logically instructed me to turn the system OFF. When they came, and turned the system back on...by the way it was 79 degrees in my master bedroom at this time -- the unit kicked on and slowly brought the temp down. Again, an intermittent issue. This morning, system is not cooling again. I call back and they say they will schedule me for 8 to noon tomorrow. Mind you, I have already spent 12 to 5 yesterday waiting for them with no result because the system appeared to be working when they came out. After this call, the owner called me...this call didn't go well because he refused to believe that his son told me there was obviously a major problem with my AC, but he couldn't fix it unless it was actively failing when he was there...again...their office told me to turn the system off before they came and it is an intermittent problem that seems to occur when the system gets hot. After going through all of this, they have now refused to come back out at all because I'm too difficult to deal with. Yes..I am difficult. I'm frustrated and HOT. It's July in Houston Texas. At any rate, use at your own risk of extreme frustration and being refused service for being difficult - in other words, they don't stand to make enough money for it to be worth their time -- especially if you are smart enough to have any sense about what is actually going on with your system, are a woman, and/or have a home warranty. Beware.

Elite A/C handles many home warranty claims, and in my case the issue didn't fall under the home warranty, but part was still covered under the manufacture warranty. Travis was a very capable and polite technician, he got me blowing cold in no time and returned the next day with warranty part to install.

Great communication, great service, just be aware of what is covered under your home warranty, not everything is.

Extremely happy with our technician and service! Our AC went out overnight and Travis was at our house within an hour of making the 9am phone call the next morning. The lady that took my call was so sweet and helpful too and handled arranging the appointment. Travis found the issue and repaired it with all the supplies he had on hand and was just very knowledgeable, polite and professional. This was our first AC issue and I am so thankful to now have an HVAC expert to call anytime we have an issue.

10/3/24 - **Update after 3+ Years: Elite A/C and Travis are Fantastic and Trustworthy**

I've had Elite A/C sent out through my 2-10 Warranty five times since 2023 to service my aging units, which are being upgraded part by part. Each experience has been excellent. They consistently arrive within 24 hours (usually the next morning), have the necessary parts on hand, and complete the repairs the same day, except once. And when the same-day repair wasn't possible, Travis clearly explained the situation and gave me realistic expectations, which he met!

I felt compelled to write this update because it's rare to find such consistently great home service. Good people make a difference and Travis is empathetic, competent, honest, and never pushy. At this point, if my warranty company ever assigns a different A/C company, I'd be willing to call Elite directly and pay their regular rates.

7/12/23 - Second experience with Elite A/C and it was just a great as in 2021. They came out the day after being assigned by our Home Warranty. Travis, the technician, was professional and thoroughly explained everything WITHOUT trying to sell us a new unit. He found a tiny freon leak, fixed it and replaced the missing freon at no extra charge. He also provided some good do-it-yourself suggestions for keeping the humidity down. Excellent service overall and highly recommended.

I wanted to make sure I came here to share my truly positive experience with Elite AC & Heat. It never fails; I discovered my thermostat was completely dead late on Friday night. After troubleshooting on my own I knew it was something beyond my skills, so I put in a work order with my warranty company. I thought I would have to wait and deal with the issue in the next week, but a nice lady from Elite called me early Saturday morning to ask if they could come out that day and I was elated! I was so glad it would not drag out and necessitate me having to take time off of work. Travis with Elite arrived a few hours later, he listened to me explain the issue and did his own troubleshooting and soon found the problem. He didn't stop there; he did a thorough inspection to make sure there were no underlying issues. I mention this because this has not occurred with other providers and it then prompted them to come out several times before the issue was resolved, not the case with Elite. Quite frankly, Travis was just awesome, he explained what he did, showed me (because I never pass up an opportunity to learn) and you could tell he took pride in his work. You don't see that very often in this day and age. I will add that even without the warranty, if I ever have a need for an HVAC company, Elite will be at the top of my list. I also called Elite to share my positive experience and spoke with his dad who can be credited with instilling that sense of work pride in his son. I would highly recommend this small family-owned business and will not hesitate to reach out again. Thank you!

Had an issue with AC not cooling. Contacted Home Warranty to get fixed and was assigned to Elite AC & Heating. Elite was very quick to contact me and set up an appointment. Travis arrived and quickly fixed the issue with my unit. Added coolant and leak sealant to the system . Explained that this is what my home warranty requires to be done first. If the issue persists then I need to contact my home warranty to escalate to next level of service. Appreciated the detailed work and the clear explanation.

Elite AC and Heat worked with my home warranty to get a part ordered and installed in a timely manner!!! I appreciate them keeping me in the loop of the arrival of the part and installing it quickly. Their professionalism and understanding of the problem made the process much easier to handle.

I had such a great experience with Elite AC! My technician Matthew was very knowledgeable - he diagnosed my issue and rectified it quickly. He even went so far as to point out a few areas that could cause issues in the future and came back to ensure those were taken care of as well. I’m pleased with the service and highly recommend!

The best in the business. Understand they have rules with home warranties so if you don’t maintain your unit (clean it and change filters) it can be denied. They helped me get my HVAC back on track two or three times now. Travis even came out on a Saturday for me. They got my replacement done in 3 days. They are honest, dependable, and kind. If you make a 730 appointment with a client you should be there at 7:30. The performance by this technician was absolutely ridiculous. Very disrespectful for someone else time!!! The owner actually didn’t even seem to care.

Recently had an AC failure on the hottest day of the year. The response time was wonderful, the technician (Usiel) fixed it very quickly and it was right the first time
