I have an American Home Shield warranty plan . I contacted them regarding my hot water heater not heating water in my home . The plumber that came out was named Lester. He adjusted the temperature and then checked all the other faucets in the house as well as the washing machine to make sure hot water was being delivered to the appliance. He removed the drain hose from the wall which connects to the back of the washing machine, checked to see if hot water was present and then placed the drain pipe back into the wall. I was present in the laundry room at the time. He left and I proceeded to wash a load of clothes.
The washing machine is on my third floor and I heard water hitting my second floor… So I went downstairs and realized that my entire ceiling had water leaking onto the floor . I immediately called Island Man plumbing as it was Thanksgiving weekend. The woman that answered the phone proceeded to tell me that it was a holiday weekend and they would not be able to come out until the following week and also I had to go through the home warranty company. I explained water was pouring down onto my second floor and I needed to have someone come out immediately. I also took video. I was very upset. I ended up turning the water off in my house and had a neighbor come over to tell me that the drain pipe had been put into the wrong hole in the wall. I spoke to the manager and he denied everything stating Lester said it never happened and he was never in my laundry room. I was shocked and very upset. I again spoke to the manager and explained I would like to have a three-way conversation with Lester because I needed to have this repaired. Lester came back out and acknowledged the drain pipe was in the wrong hole and placed it into the correct one. Again, I spoke to the plumbing company asking them to reimburse me for the damage that was done to my ceiling as well as my hardwood floor. The manager again stated Lester denied everything. I will never use this company again. They are unprofessional and refused to acknowledge their wrongdoing. It was shocking that I was physically present with Lester in the laundry room and yet the manager refused to even think that Lester may not be telling the truth. I sent a certified letter asking for reimbursement for repairs and never heard back. This company does not conduct business in a manner that I would like to be associated with.

First of all - Awesome Customer Service. I had called a few places needing emergency service, a few were busy and some didn’t answer at all. From the beginning they handled the situation swiftly and promptly. Jesse was our tech, Hands down the best tech I’ve had at my house. He was thorough and answered all my questions, and then some.
I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this company. 10 stars would be best for everyone here.

Island Mann Plumbing has a great team, from the assessment process of my leaking water heater by Lester, the installation by Brian and Cameron and the outstanding customer service from the staff and Raymond Mann. It was a pleasure doing business with them all. This is the second time I've used them for plumbing issues and both times were great. I highly recommend them.

This morning after having a hard time trying to fix the main drain myself I called Island Mann. In the house were 2 teenagers, my one year old and my wife, with no use of toilets or showers etc. Needless to say I was worried. After I called, Jacob came within 20 minutes and had everything fixed within another 15 minutes. They were really friendly and professional and the price was great. Very grateful and have a grateful house. Thank you.

I would not recommend this company. Professionalism is no where to be found, Casey from the call center was no help, and the quality of work was non-existent. They do not stand by their work and offer zero solutions. We had an appointment a week ago to get our sink unclogged.. the technician showed up late with no prior communication. He seemed to have fixed the issue that day. Four days later the sink clogged back up. We called the company back and was told they would charge us again to have someone come back out and there was no warranty on work from four days prior. Through a lot of back and forth we got a hold of the technician and he said he would have someone call to schedule us to come back out. We never got a call. Two days later our sink is so clogged we can’t even shower. We called them and got the run around. We asked for a refund and they said they couldn’t do that. I would never recommend this company.

They saved my life, got my water working right on time as promised. TJ and Zach were patient, professional, helpful and willing to work around my crazy pups. I love a pet friendly business and I appreciated the good communication as well. Thank you for taking care of me!!! I would recommend them for any plumbing needs.

I highly recommend Island Mann for any of your plumbing issues. Zach and TJ were amazing from start to finish! They were prompt, professional and most importantly, HONEST. I was given an astronomical quote from another plumber to unclog our kitchen sink that would require a special tool to do so. These gentlemen were able to resolve the problem in under 10 minutes for a nominal fee. Please look no further than Island Mann, they are fantastic! I will only trust my plumbing issues to them moving forward.

We called Island Man on a Saturday because we had water leaking on our front porch. They sent someone out almost immediately, and the technician quickly found the problem. We had to have a restoration company come out before he could complete the work because he discovered that our sheetrock was wet in the dining room. He recommended a company who came out and tore out the wall and floors that were affected. Then, plumbers were back out on Monday morning as scheduled. They competently repaired the and rerouted the water line - even added a shutoff valve because the builders had not installed one. We were very pleased with their work.

We just moved here from Colorado and need service to our tankless water heater. Jacob and Kyle arrived as expected and serviced my heater in a timely and professional way. These gentlemen were extremely friendly and appeared to understand the equipment. They completed there diagnosis and had me up and running in 2 hours. My wife and I were very happy and pleased with the service. Job well done Island Mann Plumbing. I will use you again if needed.

My experience with this dishonest company can not be any worse. The technician Jesse damaged the chimney when he pushed down the chimney to connect to the vent of the water heater. He denied and blamed the Texas sunshine made the damage. LOL. He spilled the glue while making the PVC pipe and left a big yellow stain. Their supervisor claimed that I don't have proof such as photos right before their work started so refused to do anything to correct it.
Their appointment time was completely a joke. At the scheduled time they called me to reschedule to the next day 8AM. Called me about 9AM and said it will be late a little. I called them at 11 AM to figure out how long to wait. The dispatch person wouldn't inform the ETA and kept asking me to wait. "It's not my problem because I didn't make the appointment for you" -- Can you believe this was exactly what she said?
Dishonest and unprofessional technician, irresponsible supervisor, and poor schedule keeping, I don't see any reason why this company can still be in business in the neighborhood. If they still are, stay away from them.
I agreed with some other reviews. Jesse tried to rip me off. They won't give a quote over phone or photos. The price was very high. They cannot provide service on time.

Update: Cameron and David did an awesome job on our shower tiles. They are hardworking and put in long hours to make sure we could move back into our home. Thanks guys.

Zack and Louis were very friendly and went through extensive explanations to make sure we were set up with the best repair for our effected water system. Dealing with home warranties can be frustrating and they happily worked with me to get the best coverage I could. Looking forward to working with Island Mann plumbing in the future.

The entire experience was great. I called with a problem right before a holiday weekend. They had someone at my house within a few hours and had the problem resolved quickly.

I would like to preface this by saying this was going to be repeat service. They did a leak repair under our driveway in November 2022 and they were great. I called to have someone out to check the valve to the washing machine and make sure a toilet was working fine (we are landlords and no longer live in LC).

The tech called shortly after, saying my water heater was months from expiring, the washer valve needed replacing, and the toilet was so rusted it also needed replacing. He used the phrase "your home is a pressure cooker, this could send the house 30-40 feet in the air" and then told me to "look up the mythbusters video" on it. He quoted me $6,000! $1,000 for a toilet replacement, $4,000 for water heater, and the rest for the washing machine valve. I told him not to bother. After having a second plumber out less than 2 hours later, he said our water heater is only 5 years old and not expiring just yet, the toilet works just fine, and charged us $800 for the washing machine valve and a repair to water heater breaker.

All this to say, EXTREMELY disappointed in the fear mongering that took place on behalf of the tech. Not to mention the fact that when I said it was highly unlikely my husband would pay his quote for the valve replacement (the only part we actually asked for), he suddenly got it down to $400 magically. Seems very odd that wasn't the starting place when it was that easy to "work it down." Also tried to sell me on things to "boost" my rental property's value. The whole visit stank of schemes and shady business practices. Will not be using again.

Zack did a great job and was very prompt. He saved us on a weekend, which we appreciated. Highly recommended.

I had an exceptional experience with the Lester the Senior Technician from Island Mann Plumbing and Drain Cleaner. Lester skillfully fix my garbage disposal and stopped my running toilet, and he also took the time to educate me about the issues I was facing with hard water. His expertise and professionalism were truly impressive, and I couldn't be happier with the service that I received. John & Ryan came out introduce themselves real warm and welcoming guys.. Listen to my concerns from that point asked to make an assessment. Both were Friendly and courteous John more of the salesperson as Ryan friendly giant soft spoken knowledgeable as well but waste no time once the option is made to take care of business quickly as possible. Truly great experience working with these guys and would refer to them for future needs.
I definitely would refer them to friends & family but it also would be nice if they had a referral incentive. Maybe they do but it wasn’t mentioned. Great customer service!!
