We purchased our new system from Stay Cool about 2 years ago. Within two years we had to replace the capacitor when they were out for a summer tune up this year. The technician advised the part was covered under warranty but labor wasn’t. Keep in mind the part is less than $30.00 (cheaper online if I were to buy it) but was charged $250.00 to install (if I recall correctly-might have been more). When asking the tech why it’s so expensive we’re given the whole I went to school for this (after letting him know I was not discrediting his knowledge) I have seen them swapped out on my other system and know it isn’t labor intensive for me to believe that was reasonable when he already had the panels removed for the tune up. I was told that I could purchase it on my own on Amazon and install it myself but would run the risk of voiding our warranty. Since we did not want to run the risk of losing a 10 year warranty we paid. When we first started using Stay Cool they were great and reasonable. Now they’re no better than the larger name businesses running a price gouging system to keep up with their new building and overhead. We are constantly getting emails, calls, or texts to schedule service even though we just had it done. After this latest experience not sure if we want to continue being customers.

I had an issue with my heater not working properly and reached out to Stay-Cool. They were able to come out the same day, which was a huge relief. Tony was the technician who came, and I can’t say enough good things about him. He’s incredibly knowledgeable, and it’s clear he genuinely cares about providing great service. Not only did he quickly diagnose the problem, but he also took the time to explain everything in detail. It’s nice knowing that Tony, the owner, is the one showing up if he’s available, because his expertise really shines through. Highly recommend them for anyone needing reliable, professional HVAC service!

The whole company was fare thoughtful, caring, professional. They even went out of their way to accommodate us over the weekend lending us a cooling system. I would recommend them to anyone and I will be utilizing their services for spring and fall check ups

I recently built my mothers house from the ground up. As the GC I dealt with everyone from trash clean up to all the trades and everything I’m between. The electrician did not keep his schedule, the plumber took off with my money, but STAY COOL was the only one who kept 100% of their word. They were actually waiting on me. I would recommend them to anyone. I am building my house in Lytle Tx and I will 100% have them as my choice for the ac. Keep up the good work

12/4/2025 Tony was just here and installed the pipe. He was great as always. Thanks to yall for getting this fixed the same day so we could keep using our heater. The Ecobee sensor will hopefully be much happier 😀.

12/4/2025 Lionel came for our Winter checkup and found our gas was not ventelating properly and they are going to come replace the pipe tonight. Lionel was very professional and explained everything very well.

8/13/2025 They came and replaced the wiring and added a few parts and everything is working great.

8/12/2025 Christian and another pleasant Worker came because it started doing the same thing as day before in the middle of the night Dion had came. They did lots more troubleshooting and have found it to be a faulty 240 wire going from inside to outside and are coming tomorrow morning to replace it.

8/11/2025 Dion came because our AC was cooling intermittently. He did lots of troubleshooting and found some fires inside outside AC unit that looked to be frayed and not making contact all the time. When he left late the house was cooling down and we were able to go to sleep.

8/7/2025 Dion came to install a UV light for the AC. He was very professional, cordial, explained how everything worked and did a great job with install and cleanup.

7/19/2025 Tony came out, as we had the AC no power issue again with a little bit of water on the drain pipe. He was great and fixed us up right away with the drain pipe that was trying to drain up hill to have it drain down hill in the AC cabinet.

7/6/2025 Dion came out as we had water all over floor and Nest saying AC had no power. He found a pipe that had come loose and the water was draining from it instead of going into normal drain pipe. He was great at showing us everything, explaining and cleaning up. Made sure that was the only problem and not the the pump not working, causing a backup too.. Very satisfied.

4/25/2025 Dion came out for our summer check up, and was very proffessional, and made you feel very comfortable as well. He did an amazing job showing all the pictures and explaing everything.

12/3/2024 Tony came out for our Winter check up and was very professional and great to deal with and did a great job.

6/18/2024 Chris came out for our Summer check up and was great as usual.

2/12/2024 Chris came out for 6 month service and didn't just check heater since ac does get used as well here in Texas this time of year. Found the capacitor was close to going out by the low voltage which will save us from it going out in the heat of the summer. Also fixed up something else that needed to be cleaned up from before. He was very professional and did a great job.

Update 7/18/2023, they made an appointment to correct the no caulking issue for this morning between 9 and 11am, I got a call they are running behind. They guy showed up at 1pm and did get it caulked.

Explained everything very well and got the condensate pump installed and it is working well. Showed up and had to ask us for a ladder, then asked if we had a pipe cutter which of course we didn't. I'm disabled and tough for me to go outside and look at things and wife in meeting when he was done. When we did go outside to look at things the hole he put up high for the copper hose to come out of house their is no caulking around it so a big hole for things to go in to attic.

The tech was very polite. Answered all of my questions. Was very helpful at giving advice on what I could do to keep the system clean. He was very thorough but quick.

July 22, 2025 Stay – cool technician Dion came to service my AC unit. He was very professional kind & proficient. He showed me photos of my AC unit inside and up on the roof of my building. He explained everything in detail. I am always impressed by the service & professionalism Stay-Cool Technicians exhibit. I will continue to call upon Stay cool for my HVAC needs by taking advantage of the yearly maintenance plan.
I highly recommend this family owned company.

This is my 2nd time using Stay-Cool Air Conditioning, this time I had them replace my entire HVAC system with a new air handler, heater, and out side compressor in my ranch house. Tony and his team did an excellent job removing the old system and installing the new system.

From the start to the finish, we have been impressed with the quality and service care of the company. We had tried several times to have other companies come out to our home with no success. Immensely thankful for Jessica taking our initial distress call. Thanks to Christian for coming out and assessing what would be the best option for our home and budget. Thank you to Michael and the helper (sorry, I did not get the name) for installing our new system on a very HOT day. As everyone knows, a new HVAC system is a large investment, and with your company, it was a pleasant experience. Everyone listened to what we needed, answered questions, and explained each step of the process. Due to the high temperature, we were supplied mini units to help keep us cool before installation could occur. We look forward to our continued relationship via the new service/maintenance plan. BEST ever. Let me start from the beginning: project manager Eric Wolfe came to give me the estimate promptly, was very clear and answered all my questions. I was having additional drainage problems, he did not hesitate to promise to take care of it in addition to installing the new A/C at no additional cost. (others did not) He scheduled the project to next day. The technicians Luke and Daniel notified me of their exact arrival and as scheduled. Their work has been above all expectations: Hard workers, excellent team work, top politeness, they worked without a break very efficiently. Moreover, my A/C is in a second-floor apartment, in a tiny closet, which makes it difficult to work. They really knew what they were doing, including the internet set up of the Nest thermostat. The end result is fantastic. I forgot to mention that manager stopped to check on the technicians. Luke and Daniel are very reliable and they did not hesitate, to clean up as they left.
P.S. The price and payment are commendable as well. Company Did not require to make partial payment ahead of the completed job.

Very straight forward company. They provided us with a complimentary portable a/c unit while we waited for the new system. Quick repair times. Only complaint I have which is my own doing is not reading the contract. Our Daikin needs maintenance twice a year to keep the warranty valid. They remedied this issue by giving me 3 years free maintenance on top of the already two years parts and labor warranty in the event the system fails. All in all a great company!

Two weeks later unit wasn’t performing they came out took care of it at no cost. Love these people!

Three years later and they are still one of the best companies. Awesome customer service and with speedy service. They truly are a 24/7 company and I can’t thank them enough. We had an incredible experience with Stay Cool! They were able to provide same-day service when the mini split at one of our properties started freezing over. Dion arrived at the property with a smile and immediately impressed us with his exceptional customer service. He walked us through every step of his troubleshooting process, explaining what he was looking for and whether it was within the parameters or not.

To our relief, all the unit needed was a bit more Freon, and thankfully, no leaks were found! Dion was refreshingly honest and transparent about everything he was doing, which is rare and much appreciated. It’s amazing to see such a young professional deliver this level of service!
