Stay Cool sent the tech over and Christian came in and took care of us. There's a reason we love family owned businesses, because they care, and with Stay Cool it shows. Cleaned and serviced one of the minisplit units and made it right as rain. Gave us tips and pointers on what to do on our end to keep it running well, and found a great maintenance plan for us. We're always happy when they are done.

Your staff is not only excellent at what they do but so friendly and nice! I really appreciate the fact that I saw video of the finished job since I am unable to physically climb the ladder to the attic. Thank you again for your professional service. Stay Cool A/C & Heating – Outstanding Service & Forward-Thinking Installation

After my 20-year-old Trane XR-12 heat pump finally gave up (thanks to a landscaping mishap that damaged the copper lines), I did months of research on a replacement. I knew I wanted the new R-32 refrigerant that became standard as of January 1, 2025, and Daikin stood out with their side-discharge design, advanced variable-speed motor, humidity control, and quieter operation.

I met Stay Cool A/C & Heating at the San Antonio Home & Garden Show and was immediately impressed by the owner, Tony. He’s knowledgeable, honest, and runs a top-notch crew. They installed a new Daikin Fit heat pump with clean, aesthetic copper piping, upgraded my oversized breaker (which could have been a fire hazard), installed surge protection, rerouted the condensate drain to water my landscaping, and even sealed the electrical conduit properly. Every detail was handled with care and pride.

We poured a huge 5x6 concrete pad to protect the new outdoor unit (my idea—my wife calls me the king of overdoing it), and they came back a week later to anchor the unit perfectly.

This is one of the last big home improvements I plan to do as I head toward retirement, and I can honestly say I feel prepared and confident in this system for the next 20 years. Stay Cool delivered expert craftsmanship, clear communication, and above-and-beyond service.

I am extremely disappointed with the service I received from Stay Cool. I had their bill reviewed by another reputable HVAC company, and they confirmed exactly what I suspected: I was overcharged by more than double the market rate.
For the work they did—replacing a basic contactor and a capacitor kit—the fair price should have been between $400 and $600. Instead, I was charged over $1,300. The markup on these parts is absolutely predatory.
On top of the inflated repair costs, they pushed a $230 "service plan" on me just so they can come out twice a year and try to charge me even more money. They claim to be a "mom and pop" shop with old-fashioned values, but their pricing is anything but honest.
Do not use this company unless you want to be taken advantage of. I would not recommend them to anyone.

My boyfriend went with this company and has had a new HVAC unit for a little over 2 years. Since then, it has been nothing but trouble. Even with the “Maintenence checkups” that we pay for, we had a Maintenence check the first week of January, and less then a month later, the unit stopped Recieving power and the company came out and said it was dirty, caused the electrical to burn and now not covered under warranty. They claim even though they were here a month ago for a Maintenence check, it got dirty that quickly. Over 1000$ fix. We are only a couple years in and I can’t imagine how much more this unit will cause in another few years. I have lived in homes for over 10 years with HVAC and did not have any of the issues this one does. Don’t choose this company. Find a company that cares about their customers, don’t charge 3000$ for cleanings, and have techs that actually know what to look for. We highly regret choosing this company.

I wouldn't use these guys again of they did the work for free. They changed me $1100 to put in 3 lbs 410a and some leak sealant. On the phone, we agreed that they would pull and clean the coil. Which for $1100 is a reasonable price. When I checked the system they did not clean the coil and said that is not what we agreed to. I suggest you find a more honest AC company

Our ac went out the week before Thanksgiving and we were so stressed out. Stay cool was fast to get someone out for a quote. They were straight forward and upfront about everything. The unit had to be replaced and the one we picked was slightly bigger, needing the wall and floor to be cut. There was no mess left behind and they were extremely respectful and cut only what had to be cut. They fixed the wall and covered the unit and it came out really nice. If I had to do it all over again I wouldn't change a thing. By far the best choice I made

Lionel arrived to complete our mini-split maintenance. He was very polite and respectful. He explained his process with us in a very professional manner. He thoroughly cleaned our inside and outside units. We are extremely satisfied with the service he provided. We looked forward to having him provide our service in the future.

We have had multiple issues with our unit since we moved into our home. Stay Cool has been wonderful to work with going above and beyond to provide exceptional customer service and up to date communication the three times we've had to have them out. Christian has located the problem and gotten it addressed each time. At one point we had to wait for a part from the manufacturer and they brought mobile units to ensure we had at least a few cool rooms in the house, not to mention they brought the second unit on their "off" day. Highly recommend working with them. They will take care of you!
