I had some lights not working and 5th Generation sent out Matt and Xavier to check out my problem. Matt and Xavier arrived on time and were very professional and did a complete survey of my electrical system and diagnosed my problem. They explained what the problem was and how much it would be to fix the issue. Very professional service, they took their time and explained what they were doing as they worked. Problem was fixed, they completely cleaned up everything and explained other issues that might need future attention.
I would highly recommend this company!

5th Generation has provided service to my home three times now, and I was very satisfied each time. They've done small projects and larger projects. Service techs are courteous and professional, do great work, and take time to explain everything carefully and thoroughly. These guys are my go-to electricians.

Thank you for locating the fault with a non-functional ceiling fan at my mom's house. Josh made my 89-yr-old mother feel at ease, patiently answering our questions. As I wrote in a review a year ago, I'll continue to use 5th Gen as much as I get a chance. Was a great experience. Can't thank Josh enough for working around the obstacles and quickly troubleshooting to keep cost at minimum for us. Clear explanation of what caused problem, and he gave best options for repair, plus fixed on the spot as no parts were needed.

I had a few problems with my outdoor outlets and a couple light fixtures and contacted 5th Gen. They were responsive and got out to me very quickly which was great.

Xavier and Matt showed up right at the beginning of the time block which I was assigned and they were both very courteous, respectful, and knowledgeable. They took care of a couple of the minor issues very easily and also handled the tougher issues without any problems and even went out of their way to get along with my dogs!!

I was given an estimate for a few key items that came up and was emailed the invoice for the one days work and extra info on doing additional in the future if I'd like to do so at that point.

I can't recommend 5th Gen enough - if you have any electrical needs, you should definitely contact them because that level of professionalism is hard to find these days!

Xavier and Joseph from 5th Generation Electric in Mesquite came out today to give us several electrical estimates. Very pleased with both gentlemen and their courtesy and also putting their shoe covers on before they came in our home. UPDATE 2/18/25
Xavier came back out with a new service member and they were both professional, easy to work with, and problem solved. 5 stars every time we use them and I can’t see it changing. They are the absolute best in DFW but especially Rockwell, Rowlett, Mesquite, Garland, and East Dallas. They are untouchable when it comes to leadership and service.
UPDATE 9/29/2023- This was my first time having Matt and Xavier at my house and both get 5 stars. They completed the work from start to finish in about 2 hours, even with me in the way, they showed me where I didn’t need something we thought we would and reduced my price, and they left the work area in pristine condition when they left. These guys are the best in the biz and even though they don’t advertise like the rest, their value is in their workmanship, not their wordsmanship.

UPDATE 9/1/2023: These guys are still the best 4 years later. Eddie Nicholls and his professional team of electricians never disappoint. They are always courteous, timely, and it always feels like you're talking to a neighbor. Plus, while it doesn't impact how great they are at electricity, it is nice to know that they actually exemplify their public facing image, in private. That's something a lot of companies are not doing and it is GOLD!

PREVIOUS: 5th Generation has found and fixed so many electrical problem that our previous owners left behind for us and we are very grateful at their commitment and through inspections to ensure things are done properly to keep us safe.

They are always courteous and helpful and answer all of our uninformed questions like true professionals.

From the owner Eddie, who answered the phone on the first ring, scheduled a same day appointment and sent two of the most efficient, knowledgeable and hard working team to my home. Great service. They added a network drop from downstairs to upstairs, and added 3 electrical outlets. They were clean, friendly and keep you up to date on what they are doing. Very professional and will use them again. Highly Recommend!!!

Tech showed up in the time frame scheduled. Was very professional. Outlined everything that was needed to complete the job I requested along with a price. He was even very thorough in making sure he completed what I requested.

These guys are worth every cent!

I had a series of projects and issues I needed fixed over the last few months. Eddie and his team were always punctual, patient, and thorough. From the smallest details down to my never ending questions and changes they were happy to serve. One of his youngest team member, Xavier, just finished my last project and he was just as professional as the owner. 5 jobs thus far and they have been so consistent.

We are happy to be a part of a team we can trust.

I contacted two other companies before I saw a recommendation for 5th Generation on reddit. One company never returned my message and the other one didn't want to even come out and look at my house to see what needed to be done before he told me it couldn't be done without a full remodel of my kitchen! So I didn't have high expectations when I reached out to 5th Gen online. First, they contacted me immediately and scheduled a time to look at my project right away. The sent me a text with a picture of the electricians who would be working on my project which really helps alleviate any safety concerns. I'll be hiring them to come out and make my repairs next week.

I have been impressed with my experiences with 5th Generation Electric. My first experience was in the professional setting as a Realtor. My client brought 5th Generation out to look into a prospective property. Xavier was amazing at my personal property. He did a whole home inspection and completed some repairs on site. The inspection revealed the location of switches that I didn't know what they operated in over a decade!
