Scott and Logan came out the next day bright and early and got us back running. Scott explained what the problem was and fixed it in less than 30mins. Braswell A/C and heating put in a new unit for us quickly and with out a lot of fuss. We are very pleased with the unit and with the service. Mr. Braswell and his associate were knowledgeable, efficient, and courteous. Whenever I’ve had questions or it’s time for Service, I have no problem getting in touch with Mr. Braswell to answer those questions and set up those appointments.
We recommend him wholeheartedly.

I strongly advise caution when dealing with Braswell’s for HVAC repairs. He identified a leak in my evaporator coil and recommended I add refrigerant. He said it could last from 6 months up to 3 years—he wasn’t sure—and that if the system failed again, I would need to replace the part or the entire system. He charged me $235 per pound of virgin R410A refrigerant; my system required 4 pounds. The next day, a neighbor told me I was ripped off because their AC was refilled with 4 pounds of refrigerant for the standard service cost of $169. My system stopped working after three days!!! I believe I was intentionally misled into buying the refrigerant. Braswell performed a leak diagnostic and knew how severe my leak was but likely thought he could make $940 now and have me call him back for more work later. Beware of contractors with predatory behavior. I should have realized he was going for the kill when he said no one called him all winter. I later found out most companies charge $75 to $90 per pound of that refrigerant. Not only did he recommend the wrong service, but he also tripled the usual charge. When I told him my system had failed only after three days, he wanted to schedule an appointment to “do another diagnostic.”

I've got a new AC installed by Braswell's AC & Heat. I am glad I followed recommendations to replace an old leaking and phased out r410a AC with the new r454b. Pleased with quality and performance.

Scott was very knowledgeable about different types of AC units on the market. What continued to shock me was his honesty: on at least 3 occasions, he has recommended a cheaper option that would solve my current issue, rather than suggesting a more expensive solution. His patience was also admirable. He answered all of the questions I asked him during his initial inspection, then the during installation, and even now after the job has been completed. When it comes to pricing, his is upfront and honest about cost. He was also able to put himself in my shoes and see things from the perspective of the customer.I consider myself fortunate to have come across a person with this type of integrity. As a healthcare professional, I liken his attitude to a physician with remarkable bedside manner.

We had a great experience with Scott. He was very prompt in answering our call and scheduling a visit quickly. As it turned out we had a bad fan motor in the unit outside. He diagnosed the problem and as it turned out the part was under warranty. As soon as he got the part he came over the next morning and made the repair. Great service!
