They don't maintain their products. Looks like this business is on its last leg.

Taking up two spaces because you can't drive is ridiculous. There is no reason or justification for this. Learn to drive

I found and returned a Rugdoctor 4 months ago and they claim they couldn't give me a reward because the lady that directed me how and where to return the unit no longer works there so if u find one don't waist your time returning it i f I find another one I'll burn it and piss on the ashes before I waste my time calling them what a joke and it states on the machine if found return 4 a reward

Self serv stations are out of service and left with non functioning machines. Customer service numbers are dead. Came to a location to use your service, left disappointed.

I'm sad to say the Rug Dr. has terrible customer service and lack of concern about dirty machines they are renting out on a regular basis. And an inability to honor their $3 coupons.

Most people playing your carpets on weekends I would think. I'm working on mine and the machine doesn't work after I spent 50 bucks. No support anywhere phone number on the literature that comes with the machine. Very very very poor. It's obvious they don't not care about customer service.

They offer attachments on the rental site that you can add for a fee. So I added an attachment to clean the stairs only to find out at my chosen pick up location they never have those. Don't waste peoples time.

Ordered a NEW replacement hand tool for our steam cleaner. They sent USED parts and when we contacted them, they tried to make it seem like it was our fault that the part was sent USED and DIRTY. When they finally sent a replacement for the original order it was USED as well. Absolutely ridiculous! Their customer support is severely lacking. I think we will be buying a steam cleaner from a different manufacturer at this point.

The Rug Doctor engages in deceptive and misleading business practices which has caused damage to a number of consumers property (compare supports via the many other consumers BBB complaints against the company). Disclosures that should be provided to the consumer during the contract negotiation process are either not provided to the consumer at all or purposefully hid from view from the consumer. Their business is built on renting poor cheap equipment to unsuspecting non expert carpet owners and in many circumstances when it causes damage to the consumers carpets the company points to disclosures that the consumer was never provided (at worst) or purposely hidden from view from the consumer (at best) during the formation of the contract. It’s likely The Rug Doctor’s average customer doesn’t have a lot of money or the means to fight the Rug Doctor when the company does them harm and the company counts on most of their customers to walk away after the Rug Doctor points back to their contact that’s purposefully hard to read, has to be spun around and flipped inside out in order to try read, isn’t clear and is hard to understand. If the Rug Doctor provided the necessary disclosures in a clear, conspicuous and meaningful way about the inadequacy of the functionability of their product during the formation of their contract to rent their product it would scare consumers away, so they decide to hide it and make it hard to understand instead to avoid losing sales. I would bet many people rent this company’s machine that have dirty carpets and the machine actually does more harm then good but the consumer doesn’t know any better and doesn’t get upset because many of their carpets were already in a poor state prior to use anyhow. It’s a shame if the CEO and any of his cronies at this company are proud to represent this operation. Consider doing business with a company that clearly tells you where their contract begins and ends, properly disclosures all their terms and where they are located on the contract, insures you arn’t able to move forward with the use of their equipment until you have seen all the important disclosures and initialed by each of them for your own protection and doesn’t use excessive characters on their contract to burden the consumers eyes making it hard for them to read to the point where the margins are so small on each side of the page it can’t even be reproduced via a standard copy machine without cutting off half of their typing. THEY SHOULD ADD THE WORD TO THE WEBSTER DICTIONARY “PREDATORY-RENTAL-COMPANY” AND HAVE THE DEFINITION BE: “RUG DOCTOR, LLC”.

DO NOT RENT FROM THEM!!!!! I rented a rug doctor from them for 40 dollars and the pump was broken. I called and they told me to go back to store amd call the kiosk number. I live 20 minutes away from the nearest store and had to travel back and forth 4 times. They told me to keep the rug doctor till someone gets ahold of me. Its been 2 days, ive called 20 times and no luck. I will be getting my money back and compensation for my gas or else i will be sewing not going to continue paying for something that doesn't work.

I sent my rug doctor deep cleaner in for warranty repairs. When I received it back it wasn't put back together completely and the just threw the extra parts and screws in the bottom of the box. I called them and they had me return it again so they could go through it and put it all back together right. I just recieved it back from them supposedly going through it and making sure everything was fixed and assembled right. Now it doesn't work at all. So now they want me to send it back again. This place is terrible don't buy their products.

I had to go to 3 different locations initially to rent the machine becasue non of the kiosks work at walmart. When trying to return, the kiosk I originally got it from does not work, I have called the rug doctor customer service over 10 times now, and emailed them 5 times trying to get help. Instead of returning my calls, they are charging my credit card for the actual rug doctor of over $300, plus day of use. I should only have one day of charges. Do not use this company at all.

Rented the rug doctor at Walmart before Christmas Eve to clean up some spots. The brush failed to turn even after performing troubleshooting steps. I intended to spend an hour cleaning up a few spots getting ready for the holidays, but instead spent several trying to get the machine to work. I ran out of time to return the machine to Walmart because I had to do my best with what I had which ran much longer than planned. I called rug doctor and was told they would refund my money. The next few days were holidays with family coming and going. I was not able to return the broken rug doctor machine until several days later. I received a charge of $325.25 and another one for $113.73 and a refund for $37.91. I called rug doctor and they refunded the $325.25, but refused to refund the $113.73. I rented the machine on 12/22 and returned it on 12/27. Rug Doctor had zero consideration for the holidays and refused to refund the full amount.

Absolutely disgusting customer service. never in my life have i ever been talked to in such a disrespectful and disgusting way. I went to rent a machine at walmart from this company and of course their machine that dispenses did not allow me to get my rental. Walmart says they cannot do anything about it and to call corporate, well after being on hold for days no call backs, finally i get a call back and speak to management who spoke to me in the most disrespectful and absolutely DISGUSTING way. Will NEVER trust this company again, and will be seeking legal council. This has been horrific and they want to charge me $700 for a machine that’s still at the store ! Absolutely not. If you have even the slightest ounce of respect for yourself, rent a machine from home depot. These aren’t even good quality.

I never received a gate code to rent the machine so I had to call to get the gate opened. I returned the machine the next day and the code I was given didn’t work. I had to call again to get the machine returned. Then the next day I get a text saying it wasn’t returned and will be charged another $43. I’ve spoken with several customer service members. None have been helpful yet. Terrible experience!

Avoid the self-service rental kiosks as the machines are in terrible condition. The Rug Doctor was clogged with gunk so I had to clean it myself, then it didn't even work. Was on the phone with support three separate times. I also asked for a coupon for a future rental since I had bought the shampoo and was unable to get one.

On 10/16/19, we purchased the Rug Doctor Pro-Deep Carpet Cleaner with Motorized Hard Floor Tool and several other accessories for a total of $645.86. Many years ago, we purchased he Rug Doctor Wide Track Carpet cleaner and have been very satisfied with it. Unfortunately the floor cleaning attachment broke and could not be replaced, so we bought the Pro-Deep Cleaner with the Hard Floor Tool, that was to be used exclusively for floor cleaning in our home, In late December, 2 1/2 months after purchasing the machine, the motorized hard floor tool hose split apart from the coupler and rendered the machine useless for the purpose that we purchased it (see attached picture). In January, I made my first call to Rug Doctor customer service about the broken part. Since the beginning of the process, I have spent over 2 1/2 hours either on the phone, responding to e-mails, furnishing requested items (purchase receipt, picture of broken item, our address, our name, serial number of machine, etc.) to Customer Service. I have been told over the phone and in email multiple times that "We are sorry for the problems you have experienced with Rug Doctor. A replacement part can be sent to you at no charge". These promises were never fulfilled. On 7/9 at 10:37, I spoke with "Rosa" who told me that I would receive the new tool within 2 weeks. At 4:41 today, I received an email from Patrick Cole stating that our machine was manufactured in 2016, so they would have to confirm the warranty with sales receipt and could I please send it to them. Are they kidding??? How many times do I have to send in the information? Is Rug Doctor selling 3 year old machines and telling people they are new (ours was not refurbished). They have done nothing but give me the runaround over something that could have easily been resolved 6 months ago. Stay away from this company!!

Rented machine on 1/7. When I arrived home and unloaded the machine it was beyond disgusting. I took pictures and sent an email within 15 minuets. I spent 45 minutes cleaning the insane amount of dog hair and human hair out of the machine. They did not respond to the email and after returning the machine I had had enough of them avoiding me. I called them and them both reps blamed ME for not getting with them sooner. My job is not to check your machines. My job is not to clean your machines. I did get with you. I did send you pictures. This is a complete and total lack of caring for the consumer. NEVER again will I even consider using your awful product and your even worse customer service. I HAVE THE PICTURES TIME AND DATE STAMPED.
