Yard by design is the best tree trimming service I have ever used. They went above and beyond and wanted to make sure I was happy with their work. Priscilla was so easy to work with and so nice. Her colleagues are so professional too. When they completed the job they left my yard spotless. I wish I had found them a long time ago !

We reached out to Yard by Design in San Antonio for a project involving concrete steps and integrated lighting. While their team was polite and professional, we were pretty shocked to get a sky-high quote—($41,000. Every other quote was half that for the same scope of work) especially once we realized that both the concrete work and the lighting would be subcontracted out.

If those core parts of the project aren’t even handled in-house, it’s hard to understand the justification behind the price. We would’ve preferred a straightforward “this isn’t something we do” rather than an inflated quote that felt more like a pass disguised as an estimate.

They do seem great for landscaping and design work, and we can see why people like their aesthetic. Just be sure the scope of your project actually falls within their wheelhouse before committing time to the process.

We had a great consultation with Priscilla - She answered all our questions about our trees and provided a good plan and vision to work toward. She is very knowledgeable, professional, friendly. Her recommendations were well-reasoned and it was fun to talk to someone so passionate! We look forward to the opportunity to work with the team soon.

Yard by Design has become our go-to service for all our landscape projects, from intricate masonry and plant installs to regular weekly yard maintenance and tree trimming. I was so happy and relieved to find Priscilla and her crew after bad experiences with 3 other companies throughout a major backyard remodel. She is professional, responsive, and the work is truly impeccable. They corrected botched masonry, grading, and irrigation jobs for us, and installed an extensive backyard landscape plan in collaboration with a landscape architect. She provided 3D models to make sure we were on the same page before construction began, and offered a valuable professional opinion and advice throughout to ensure a great end result. I want to send a BIG SHOUT OUT and THANK YOU, to Yard By Design! They were very professional. They did an amazing job with cutting back branches from my roof line. They clead up like they were not even there. While I was inside they stood up for me when neighbors was upset because they were cutting parts of the tree that crossed over to my property. If you have yard or tree work to be done PLEASE give them a call.

We had an emergency where we needed a large part of our tree cut before it damaged our property. They were very quick to respond and very professional with their work. Definitely will be our choice from now on!

They did a great job putting up my Christmas lights on my house. I was so impressed with the attention to detail they put to the placement of each bulb and even making sure the extension cord was practically invisible. Dominion landscaping, slow to respond, and once, Mr. Kusbel came to our house to discuss plans we never heard back with an estimate. Nice enough owner, but very poor communication.

I can't speak highly enough of Dominion Landscaping. My back yard was a wreck when I bought it 4 years ago thinking I could do the landscaping myself. Tony and his team really has transformed my back yard from jungle to a place my kids can play and enjoy. Initially we started to zeroscaped it but unfortunately it all had to be redone because I had to put in new plumbing. I also had water run off drainage issues and had some minor flooding in my house. So they put in french drains to help with standing water and then put in irrigation before we had zoysia grass put in. And I love the zoysia grass. It's drought tolerant, does really well in full sun and looks so beautiful! I also had a ton of bamboo that was over taking my yard and they cut it all back put down barriers that will help control it.

We are putting in synthetic turf grass on the other side of my yard soon and I will be posting photos once everything has been put in.

oh I also forgot to mention that he put in really awesome lighting with low watt LEDS that really make the backyard look amazing at night.
