I originally called Alamo to schedule an appointment.
The office person Sarah gave praise about this company. The appointment was set for one week out with a four (4) hour window between 8am-12 noon.
I set a wake up call for 8am on that day.
No one showed up, so I called the office. As it turned out the man showed up at my door at 7:45 am. I did not hear my doorbell ring nor did I hear a knock.
Why set up a specific time if they don’t hold up to it?
FOUR hours and they still can’t hold to what they say.
I received a message from Sarah while I was on the phone setting up an appointment with another company. Alamo is willing to return but not for another week. How professional is that? Making the customer the victim again. This is just another handyman ploy of bad business practice. -
I have been dealing with Alamo Handyman for over 10 years. They are always professional and have done a wonderful job. The people in the office as well as the people who do the repairs are great! This job was no exception. I will always call Alamo Handyman when I need work done. Charlie Peterson

We recently hired Alamo Handyman to replace 2 Florescent light fixtures with 5 recessed LED lights in our kitchen ceiling. We also wanted to have 3 pendant lights installed over the bar between the kitchen and family room. The work done by both Enrique the electrician and George the person who did the repair work to our kitchen ceiling was exceptional. When the work was completed you would never know we had 2 large cabinets attached to the ceiling for holding the florescent lights. There are no seams where the cabinets were removed, the texture and paint are an exact match to the rest of the ceiling. All whom we worked with at Alamo Handyman from Rudy who came to our home to provide an estimate, Enrique and George who did the work, they always came when they said they would, cleaned up the work area when finished, and went the extra mile to ensure we were satisfied with the completed product. And all of this at a very reasonable cost.

Very Unprofessional company. Alamo made the assumption we wanted to replace our old casing with the exact same door casings that were previously there. They ordered the wrong casings and wanted us to pay for the mistake. There was also a mistake with the paint that wasn't their fault it was ours, but we were willing to cover those expenses because it was our fault. The entire company from the boss to the workers took no accountability for the mistake. They tried to do a change order and tried to charge us $8,300 to replace the door casing and trim. Our original quote was around 6300. Crazy right??? Once I told them I wasn't paying that that, I stated to them they could finish the downstairs and they didn't want to complete the job but also refused to give us our 1,720 deposit because they painted a couple of based boards. They hadn't even started the job. The materials for the baseboards cost almost $700 so why did we lose our entire deposit? There explanations were bs. They said it took the worker 10 hours to paint a few baseboards. They charged us almost $1,000 to paint a couple of baseboards. One of the workers was very unprofessional, talked so bad about the company. I informed the owner and he brushed the entire situation under the rug. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. I should of went with my first gut and hired contractors from the beginning, not a handy service. If I could give 0 stars I would.

I had another handyman install a new garbage disposal in the kitchen sink 2 months ago…unfortunately it started leaking.
Called Alamo Handyman, came out two hours later and said it was just a loose bolt that the other guy forgot to tighten and that everything else was installed right. Said he repaired it but no mention of price, figured it would be a service call of $80-90 right?
It was $173 saying that’s their hourly repair price.
Bill the repair man was professional, courteous, and thorough in his explanation. I don’t give a 1 star because of bad service, I give this 1-star because of pricing -
Very pleased with the quality of work replacing an attic ladder and door glass panes. The two workers showed up promptly for the scheduled work, were pleasant to speak with, and did a good job cleaning up the work site.

Bill installed a new patio door in our condo. He was precise, knowledgeable and skillful in navigating some unique challenges. He identified termite damage after he removed the old door, and our association crew repaired that, so that the door frame had solid support. I appreciated Bill’s experience, and were happy with the outcome.

Alamo Handyman was amazing as they responded quickly to a problem I had to sell the house. They responded and gave a quote and completed the job in a few hours. They were professional and the price was very reasonable compared to a couple other quotes I received. Excellent job and would recommend to anyone for projects or home improvement needs.

I have had the pleasure of the wonderful services of Alamo Handyman since 2012 and they have ALWAYS been excellent. They have remodeled my home, put in sidewalks, pergola and three brick patios, a disabled ramp and so much more at my home, all with excellence! I run a nonprofit so I called them to do a community garden patio area with wooden planters and the work (Brian especially) was fantastic! They worked so hard and diligently, and ALL our gardeners are so excited and pleased! Awesome job Alamo Handyman!!!

First, let me say the front office was great from our estimator, accounting and finally the carpenter. We couldn’t be happier with his work. Richard did a fabulous job laying flooring 25’ x10’ in our attic. He was very professional, courteous and on time. And for all these reasons I recommend Alamo Handyman…. 5 stars

We had Alamo Handyman take care of three jobs for us: repair/rehang storm door, replace patio support post and disconnect an un-needed power cable that ran to exterior lighting. Work was done on schedule, with everyone arriving on time. Everything was completed to satisfaction and at a price we found fair. Will definitely consider them for future jobs.

Alamo Handyman are reliable folks. They will assess and take care of your needs. My woodwork specialist, Richard did a fantastic job! He trimmed and fastened about 200sqft. of 3/4” plywood (raised flooring) in our attic. We were extremely happy with the final result. Richard’s work was not only great, but his work ethic was meticulous and calculating. His friendly and professional demeanor made it all more special. Their team starting with Brian who created the estimate and Brenda handling the accounts were all easy and great to work with and for this reason I wouldn’t hesitate to use their services again. 5 stars

I contacted Alamo Handyman about removing an old window AC that I was having probems with and installing a new that I had recently purchased. They were very understanding and helpful and were able to schedule the job for that same day in the afternoon. They also kept me informed on the timing by phone and email. Bill arrived on schedule, completed the work in the time frame I had been given and he did a great job. The cost was a lot less than I expected. Bill was very courteous and friendly. I appreciate the time and effort that Alamo Handyman took to help me out. Excellent customer service!

I contacted Alamo Handyman about installing two garage storage racks for me. The process to get an estimate and schedule was quick and easy. Bill and Ed came out to do the work. It was no easy job! They arrived on time, they were polite and professional, and they got the job done right! I love the finished job and I would use Alamo Handyman again!

Bennie of Alamo Handyman successfully completed and exceeded the scope of the task at hand. This was not my first job request, and I am an avid customer. He consistently leaves the work area clean and tidy, leaving me in a significantly better state than when he arrived. The expertise and knowledge he possesses are exceptional and rare in today’s market.
