There are not enough words for me to express my gratitude for Manny and the Thunder Ducts crew. This all started when I was changing my air filters and glanced in the ducts and noticed it was very dirty. I had previously seen the videos on the internet of duct cleaning and wasn't sure if I needed it it or not. What I would soon find, with the help of Thunder Ducts, was very worrisome.

I heard about Thunder Ducts through a friend so I called them and told Manny what I saw. He said there's no way to really tell if you need duct cleaning without running a scope down all the ducts to see what is inside. (Our ducts are beneath the floor)

He came out and ran a scope and showed us everything. Dirt, sand, signs of water damage, and MOLD. As soon as I saw the mold I knew that I was going to do everything possible to clean these ducts because I have an asthmatic wife, a two year old, and another baby girl due 3/1/21. Since buying the house in 2016, I've been very nervous about mold because there has always been a slight musty/water smell in the house but I've never really known where to look. Also, in retrospect, my wife and I noticed that there was constantly sand and dirt in our house on the ground and on the window seals. We chalked it up to having dogs but remembered that it was an issue even after we got rid of our dogs when our son was born. Learning about the sand and dirt in the ducts explained so much for us.

Manny was very transparent and let me look at the monitor to see what was in my ducts. He kindly answered all of my questions and showed me everything. I could see it all with my own eyes and that was very important to me. He showed me how the joints where all of the ducts join together were not sealed properly due to wear and tear over time and also from a poorly maintained drainage system on the house.

Manny quoted me for vacuuming only, he quoted me for vacuuming + sealing the joints and plenum only, and then he quoted me vacuuming and then sealing every square inch of our duct work. I appreciated the options and decided to go with everything.

The Thunder Ducts crew came out and did the job in two stages, which took two days-

Day 1-Vacuuming all the junk out and sealing everything with the first coat

Day 2- Second coat (6 days later)

As for the mold, which was my main concern, manny explained that the mold would most likely grow back if they just sprayed it with something to "kill it" and left it at that. Coating the entire system would ensure that the mold stayed trapped behind the coating and that the air would effectively be blowing through what was acting like a "new" duct.

I could not be happier with the job these guys did. They were very professional, very clean, very kind, and VERY efficient. The first day they came out I was renovating my house and didn't have any furniture or anything inside so I expected them to get things a little dirty but they DIDN'T. The second time they came out, my wife had decorated everything and we had new furniture and new rugs in the house and the guys got the job done STILL without a speck of dust left behind. They all wore booties on their shoes, wore masks, and washed their hands frequently.

There isn't a price you can put on this kind of customer service or on the peace of mind I now have knowing that my family will not be breathing in all of that junk. If you need your ducts cleaned/sealed or more importantly YOU DON'T KNOW if you need it because you cannot see inside of them...do yourself a favor and call Thunder Ducts.

Last thing I'll say is that the entire crew was very knowledgeable about how the process worked and what needed to be done. Manny's son Emmanuel was one of the lead crew members who managed a lot of the work but there were about 5--7 guys total and they all were very knowledgeable and able to answer any questions I had.

When I called the number it was Go Air Ducts. They did a fantastic job! Niro explained everything and showed what else can be done.

I highly recommend this business. Manny and his crew are very friendly and very professional. Always cleaned up after themselves. Our vents were rusted and had sand and water damage in them. They cleaned out all the air ducts and sprayed them with a sealer and fixed the plenum and sealed it also. The price was very reasonable.

Check your vents. If they are rusted call Thunder Ducts. They will take care of you.

Thunder Ducts came to our home and did a detailed free inspection of our ducts which my husband suspected were in bad condition. Affordable Air was there…fixed the problem with the thermostat and provided the override codes for when this happens in the future.
