Jose Calderon and his team came out on top of 4 other HVAC businesses I met with. The PepCal team has a great reputation online and has been in business over 10 years. Jose’s initial consultation, communication and professionalism was on point. He was on time for the appointment, carefully reviewed my existing system and answered all of my questions. He was also the only one that was able to modify a Trane system and make an XR16 SEER to qualify as 17 SEER with larger coil (certified). He informed me about the CPS rebate program for early replacement and even helped fill out the application. I was very specific about not to rush the job and to protect my wooden floors, new carpet, furniture, and walls in my home, which was respected. Jose was present during the install and his team was in sync with all of my asks and all went as expected. They installed a Trane 2x 3Ton 17 SEER variable speed systems. A day after, I noticed that one of the systems was making a slight rumbling noise. Jose was very responsive and professional and came back the next day to diagnose the issue. Ultimately, he replaced the motor and blower. Jose offered multiple payment options with a cash incentive discount and was willing to adjust his price to deliver a competitive offer. He also offered a 10 year parts & labor warranty. I was happy with their willingness to listen to the customer, attention to detail, honesty, punctuality, flexibility and professionalism. I’ve been using this company for about 8 years now, and they’ve always been professional, on time, and thorough. This is the second time Darren has been my technician for my scheduled maintenance, and both times he’s done an outstanding job.

When he showed up for my latest service, the first thing he said when I opened the door was, “First of all, thank you for your service.” (It’s Veterans Day ) That small gesture really stood out , it showed genuine respect and appreciation right from the start.

He went over everything clearly, made sure my system was running perfectly, and even took the time to explain what he was checking. You can tell he takes pride in his work. It’s rare to find that kind of professionalism and courtesy these days. I highly recommend this company if you want honest, reliable, and respectful service.

My system has a Freon leak and Darrin Price from PepCal was very knowledgeable and found where the leak was coming from. Since my system was a few years old, my inside coil was covered under warranty. So within 24 hours from having the system looked at, it was replaced, repaired and back to working and cooling properly. Also at the bottom of where the ac filter is placed, there was an air leak that Darrin Price taped up and sealed properly, he didn’t have to but he went above and beyond to help. Can’t say enough good things about this company. Came out the very next morning my A/C stopped cooling the house. Then came back late at night again and it was working already. The customer service and honestly is very hard to find these days and I can’t recommend them enough. Both Jose and Zach were amazing.

Called pepcal Wednesday afternoon about my A/C not cooling. They had Darrin Price come out first thing Thursday morning. He was knowledgeable and found our issue out fast got everything going and topped off with freon. If you need fast and reliable Jose and Darrin are the guys to call.
