As I sit in my perfectly cooled house, let me tell you 4 things I love about this company: 1) Like most people, I'm a little nervous about A/C repair and finding a company whose default response to every problem is "You need a new system." So, I did some research. I noticed the MANY positive reviews for Main Street here, but more importantly, I noticed that owner of the company read them and responded. That tells you a lot about how seriously they take customer satisfaction. 2) I set up then had to cancel the first appointment, and the nice woman who worked through all that was really pleasant and easy to work with. It was easy to call back and get the real appointment set. 3) Doug came for the service appointment and has a ton of experience. I really appreciated how hard he worked to understand the system and what it needed for repair (as I had suspected, I was low on freon) and Doug took care of it. 4) Doug went OUT OF HIS WAY to follow up with me and make sure things were working .. and even came over to do a quick follow up and tweak things for an even better performance. Where else are you going to get that kind of concern and follow through?! It made me a true fan.
I know that my system probably only has a couple of years left, but I guarantee you that when it does, I'll be working with Main Street on the replacement. I really appreciate the combination of competence and concern for customer satisfaction. -
I absolutely love this company. I had an air conditioning issue, the owner Brent got right back to me immediately. Jose was the tech, and he was so nice, knowledgeable and is a great addition to this company. I love when people are just plain nice. I also have to mention that you receive a text and email describing the tech with a photo, that is coming to your home. The prices are extremely reasonable and affordable. Thank you Brent and Jose.

Dillon and Mike were fantastic. They were downtown earth, kind, knowledgeable, and very professional! No delays, excuses, or trying to slip in extras parts or labor. Just got it done, and explained what they did. Good guys.

Ben was fantastic he did an incredible job! There were a few odd jobs that needed to be done and he cheerfully took care of them for me. He definitely deserves a big tip. We would love to have him come every time if possible.

Super grateful they make such an effort to get you in for an appointment as soon as possible. They send you a reminder text the night before and day of they send you a text when your tech is on their way along with a photo and short bio of your tech. Jose was our tech and he was so nice, super patient and extremely thorough. He did an inspection of our AC unit and was able to easily diagnose the various problems we had with our AC unit. Gave us three pricing options dependent on if we wanted to fix parts of the issue or all of it. It’s always refreshing when you have a tech that knows their stuff and you don’t feel like they’re taking you for a ride. Went with Main Street H&C after reading their Google reviews and we’re so glad we did! Thanks for the incredible service Jose!

These guys are the best!
I reached out on a Sunday evening for an appointment to have my furnace looked at, and within 3 minutes had one scheduled for Monday morning at 9am. Amanda showed up exactly on time and was able to quickly diagnose & fix our issue. I had a few other questions about a home humidifier and she took the time to thoroughly explain the benefits of the system and the process of installing one. She even had a quote emailed over to me within 5 minutes of leaving the house.
This was the second time I've used these guys for an HVAC issue at 2 different properties and both times they've been incredible to work with. It's so nice to work with a company that takes such obvious pride in customer service and their workmanship/expertise. Their new website rocks, Amanda rocks, and I really appreciate the way they do business! -
Brent arrived to give an estimate on A/C replacement and another for ductless (heat pump) options for a couple of problematic areas. Estimates were sent to me via e-mail with absolutely no pressure to make a decision right away.
Mains Street knew exactly what I needed, had most parts in stock IN JULY, and I got right in line behind other appointments. Their estimate were 40% lower than the other company I had I investigate (who also offered a monhly payment plan that would end up costing almost 5 TIMES MORE over 10 years). Their sales guy didn't offer options like Main Street did. Brent clearly knows his stuff and has wisdom to back it up.
The estimate I liked best was accepted right through the email link and an appointment for installation was automatically set.
On installation day, I received a text message alerting me Shawn was on his way. Everything was completely installed and running right on time! I'm curious about things and asked questions about equipment and what each of the wires do. Shawn was super nice to answer everything and give me a bit more info along the way.
I'm definitely staying with Main Street Heating & Cooling. They do honest work at a great price and are very friendly. I'll update my review if anything changes. -
Brayan came out to my home promptly as scheduled. They were moving my air conditioner condenser off my patio to the side of my home. They worked quickly and did a nice job. They finished the moving of power and hoses nicely so it not only looks neat and protected it is not an eyesore. They were very pleasant and efficient.

Jimmy B. was courteous and answered all of my questions about my furnace as he was working to diagnose the reason it was behaving oddly. I’m pretty handy and did my own research and attempted to diagnose the problem on my own before I brought in the expert. It gave me peace of mind that he brought up the very issues on his own that were vexing me as he ran through his assessment and testing. I was glad he had the depth of knowledge and experience to diagnose and fix the quirky problem with my furnace!

Seth is awesome! He diagnosed the cause of an odor that was coming from under our washing machine. Seth came up with a simple and fairly inexpensive solution for the problem. He was conscious of the aesthetics of the place of the funnel and even went the extra mile by sweeping and wiping up the floor before he moved the washer in place before he left.
I HIGHLY recommend Seth to solve any of your plumbing needs. A job VERY well done! 👍 -
**EDIT (Updated)**
The owner’s public reply reduced this experience to a “simple correction” I didn’t give them the chance to make. That framing overlooks the broader issue and places the burden back on me.
I acknowledge that I told Western I didn’t want further contact—I was frustrated and upset at the time. But that context doesn’t erase the larger pattern: persistent sales pressure, no post-approval notification with written loan terms after a credit pull, and vague communication that forced me to call the lender directly just to learn the APR was higher than promised. I still never saw the full loan terms to confirm there weren’t hidden fees or penalties, despite prior assurances. All this happened with installation scheduled for the very next morning. If I hadn’t been proactive, I could have unknowingly signed a loan with terms I never agreed to.
Their public response offered no apology or accountability for these events, and no reassurance that others won’t face the same. If this truly were just a missed opportunity for a simple correction, their response could have included a soft invitation to reconnect. It didn’t—which either speaks to their priorities or suggests they were never in a position to honor the original terms.
*For future customers*: If you’re financing, insist on seeing all loan terms—APR, fees, and repayment conditions—in writing before scheduling installation. Don’t rely on verbal promises. A reputable company leads with transparency, not after-the-fact damage control.
To be fair, the techs were kind and great with my dog, and they did earnestly try to fix things (when not pushing an upsell). For that, I’m adjusting my review from 1 star to 2. But the trust breach around financing—and the broader business practices I experienced—still stand.
**Original Review**
I’ve been a customer since before Western Heating, Air & Plumbing acquired what used to be Main Street Heating & Cooling. I was enrolled in their “club membership” and had trusted them--until now. After constant pressure from their team to replace my HVAC system, I finally agreed. They had assured me that I could finance it at a specific low APR.
They sent me a link to apply for financing through a third party (Service Finance Company, LLC). I completed the application myself online, which triggered a hard credit pull--but then I received no confirmation, no follow-up, and absolutely no paperwork or loan terms. Keep in mind, this was an unsecured loan, where same-day approvals are the norm.
Western had already scheduled the installation for the next day, yet I still had no idea what APR or loan terms I was being locked into. I had to initiate contact myself, and even then, they gave vague responses--“you’re approved”--but still no rate. I finally called the financing company directly and discovered the rate was higher than what Western originally quoted.
When I told the rep that I was promised a lower APR, their response was basically, “Take it up with Western.” Meanwhile, the agent was still trying to push me to sign. This felt like a classic bait-and-switch tactic. Western’s excuse was that I was given the “default rate” but they could change it. That’s not acceptable.
If I hadn’t called and been proactive, I would’ve been locked into terms I never agreed to. That’s a breach of trust. Out of principle, I’m walking away even if it means starting over from scratch. I won’t be doing business with Western again, and I strongly urge others to get everything in writing before trusting a single word they say. -
Seth was absolutely wonderful in putting in my new bigger and better water heater with all the safety features. He explained everything before he left and checked the gas line to my gas fireplace to ensure there were no leaks and it was working properly.

Mike did a great job. He was thorough in explaining to us what our options were and we ended up deciding to do some services to help reduce risk down the road and ensure our equipment runs for a long time. He cleaned up his mess and we talked for a bit about Star Wars stuff. Happy to have him return!

I only have great things to say about Hunter and Ryland of Western Heating and Air. From the moment they arrived they were extremely courteous and professional. Their communication regarding the work being done and issues they discovered along the way was very thorough. They gave plenty of opportunities for me to ask questions. Genuinely a pleasure to work with and I would highly recommend them to anyone who needs their services. They went above and beyond!

I always appreciate Western’s great service. Start to finish they’re great. Their dispatch person is super nice and helpful. They worked directly with my tenant to fix an issue recently while I was out of town and kept me informed the whole way through. Ben was our tech and communicated well and got my tenant’s furnace up and running again quickly.

Jose has come to our house twice now and each time he has been very friendly and professional. He took the time to answer all of my questions and also explain things I didn’t quite understand. He provided options that would help improve our HVAC system’s efficiency but was not pushy at all, which I really appreciated. Overall, I was completely happy with Jose’s service and would request him again.

Today was great! The HVAC installation was a very positive experience. The technicians were very respectful of our house and made sure not to leave a spec of dirt or equipment anywhere, they communicated on all parts of the process, and were understanding of our special needs son. Highly recommended! Bryan A (and his team), and Dalton were all wonderful.

Blake is an excellent technician. He is very thorough and spent considerable time with me answering technical questions that helped me to make the best decisions on needed repairs. He is also extremely polite and goes above and beyond to serve his customers.

Carson did a great job on my HVAC system installing an easy start kit. Overall inspection and maintenance performance as well as professionalism were top-notch.
Seth helped get my water pressure back to where it needed to be with parts and labor considered, but he was really thorough on diagnostics and testing the pressure throughout the entire system. He was very friendly and professional and did a great job. -
What I liked the most about this experience was the communication, progress updates, professionalism, and post-installation training on how to use the new furnace and A/C unit. Tyler H. did an absolutely incredible job removing the older pieces of equipment and using his knowledge to install the new equipment in ways that will maximize efficiency and effectiveness for our home. Very friendly demeanor and helped me understand the details by tailoring his communication to me as the homeowner. I would highly recommend Tyler H. to other homeowners who need to update or upgrade their HVAC equipment. A job well done!

We had an older home that needed some particularly unpleasant plumbing work done. It involved replacing some water and drain lines as well as the water heater. Western sent out two technicians, Scott and Ryan. It took two days to get it done and it was a lot of work, but they did an amazing job and we are very pleased with the results. Scott also gave us some really useful suggestions for future projects. Both of them were very friendly and knowledgeable.
