Moore Construction Group designed and renovated my townhouse in old town Alexandria. In the divided space (4 small stories) they did an excellent job of maximizing the utility of the rooms. Rachel did an excellent job, and was extremely helpful, professional and knowledgeable. Highly recommend.

Moore Const. remodeled our Kitchen / Dining area. They did a superlative job. They have their own personnel, and not contractors. This includes several master craftsmen. They did beautiful work and produced a space that is now the centerpiece of our home. It is so comfortable, convenient, and attractive that we spend most of our time there. I can’t say enough good about them.

We were fortunate enough to work with Moore Construction on a recent kitchen remodel. We absolutely love our new kitchen but are also incredibly impressed with the knowledge, professionalism and true kindness of the team. There are not enough stars on this page to show our gratitude for Moore!

Moore Construction Group did a fantastic job on our 1,200-SF row home renovation in Capital Hill DC. Nate Moore and the Moore team was with us from our initial walk through of the property to completion. We worked with Rachel during design development and Marco through construction. The full renovation took around 4 months and the team worked with us on our finish selections, budget and design considerations. We would definitely work with Moore Construction again on our next property.

Moore Construction Group is outstanding! Everyone on my construction project worked to make my home improvement just what I needed. I’m going to be able to thrive here for many years. Cole, my designer, helped me focus my vision, talking me through detailed illustrations. Patrick, Tom, and Raisa, my project managers, met with me DAILY so that I could follow the progress and discuss the plans for the day. There were no work-gaps. Jose, his brother, and Carlos were here many days early before 8a.m. and always worked until beyond 6p.m. They were efficient, craftsmen, very hardworking, quiet . . . and left the site clean.
Prior to hiring MCG to design and build my new addition, I spent thousands of dollars trying to work with another “fancy” company. Their design would have left me with gorgeous fixtures cramped into one interior room and no money left for paying a future caregiver. Since Jennifer introduced me to MCG, I have my “must haves” comfortably arranged in a home addition with a Grand room (I had the space to host my family for Thanksgiving dinner this year), a bathroom with accessible features, and a separate laundry area.

We had Moore Construction add a large addition to our home, as well as provide some interior renovations in 2022/2023. We had a great experience with the Moore Construction Team from design through construction and close-out. Our PM Rachel provided some fantastic designs to us, including a design that was different than the others and ended up being our favorite layout and what we ultimately selected!

The Moore Construction team was excellent communicators with us throughout both design and construction. Their project superintendent Marco was always very transparent with us when issues and change orders came up. We were fortunate to have very few change orders on our project, and we found their pricing generally pretty fair and reasonable.

As construction moved along, the Moore Construction team really helped us out by offering some modifications and suggestions on altering the design (including going from a kitchen peninsula jump-up bar to just one flat slab which we absolutely love as it gives our house an even more open feel).

The construction crew were great to work with and be around as we lived through about two months of construction before moving out. They did a great job communicating their needs early and we rarely felt like we were making last-second, rushed decisions or adjustments to our lives. They were also very understanding and kept communication open as we got closer to our move-in date and did everything they had to in order for us to move back in.

In summary, we cannot recommend Moore Construction enough. They were a great company to work with and we can't speak highly enough about their staff. Thank you Rachel, Marco, Nate, Jennifer and the entire Moore Construction Group for giving us a home that we love.

My husband and I used Moore Construction for a major renovation of our house in Alexandria. We added a master suite, reconfigured the downstairs, and replaced the front and back porches. Rebekah and Rachel did a great job with the design, and Marco and his crew were fabulous. They were so professional and courteous and did superb job. Moore has its own crews, so we never had to wait for the next phase of work to begin. Rachel helped me shop for carpet, paint colors, bathroom vanity, etc. -- all things I hate to do -- and the office manager checked on us frequently to make sure we were satisfied.

We also added an elevator so that we can age in place. Moore worked with the manufacturer to install one that we are already using. (Aging in place came sooner than we expected!) Moore went above and beyond expectations to make this work as the manufacturer was, frankly, very difficult.

I highly recommend the Moore Construction Group to anyone looking to have work done in their home.

I cannot rave enough about Moore Construction Group. We did two home addition projects with them. The first was a living space with master en suite. We loved working with them so much that we hired them again two years later for a kitchen addition off of the other side of the house. They provide excellent communication, transparency, polished designs (thanks, Rebekah and Rachel!), detailed craftsmanship and excellent sub-contractors (like Daniel!). They clean up after every work day and made living through a construction zone with two small children manageable. Most importantly, they stand by their work. Marco is truly a hero and a saint -- he saved us so much time and money by coming up with solutions to the problems that our 1940s home confronted them with. He truly puts his heart into his projects and wants his clients thrilled with the end results... and we were!

I cannot say enough about the great experience we had with Moore Construction Group; we actually used them twice. Our project was large enough that we split it into two, with about a six month gap in between. We absolutely would use them again. We have a 98-year-old home that has seen its share of poorly completed repairs and renovations over the decades. Nate, Rachel, and Marco worked hard to help us complete back-permitting, multiple repairs/remediation, as well as a nearly-whole-home renovation. The end result is even better than we could have imagined.
There are three main reasons to use Moore Construction Group. First, everything will be permitted and inspected, giving homeowners peace of mind. They are well known to the city of Alexandria and will do everything up to code, with inspections passed quickly. Second, Rachel and Marco listen, are really responsive, and will give homeowners advice that allows the project to become even more than what the homeowners were expecting. Rachel’s layout sense and Marco’s collaboration with homeowners allows the project to move forward while also improving safety, flow and sense of space. Especially when working with old homes, this is priceless. The collaboration extends to working with small businesses preferred by the homeowner, allowing the space to be more personalized. The third reason to use them is they will not only manage budget (and help homeowners stick to it), but also their pricing is much more affordable than multiple other contractors in the area. Therefore homeowners get a fantastic collaboration, high quality work, and a good price.
Things they were able to recommend along the way that made the project such a success: recognizing that if the duct work was re-routed, we could increase the ceiling height in the kitchen by nearly a foot; feathering out a wall to allow the HVAC ducts to run in a location that improved flow and layout in one of the bathrooms; built-in layout; structural repair recommendations allowing the porches to be more stable; insulation recommendations and installation additions which have made a world of difference in this old house.

Excellent experience from start to finish. The contractor did a fantastic job replacing my concrete steps and installing stone. They were reliable, professional, and easy to work with. The project was completed on time and exactly as discussed. Highly recommend!

They are impersonal and indifferent. If you have a small job that you need fixing, don't contact Navarro because they will turn you down.

We met with Oscar to go over a project. He gave us a bid, but unfortunately, it was much higher than another bid we received, so we went with the other contractor and I let Oscar know as a courtesy. When the contractor we hired disappeared after only half the work was done (he did this to several clients and is being sued by a few of them...but we felt we broke even with the deposit so didn't pursue anything) I reached out to Oscar to see if he could come and finish the work, which was about $5K worth of work still to be done. He was very rude in his response, I assume trying to "stick it to me" for not using him in the first place. I find this super unprofessional and rude and based on this interaction, would not recommend him. There are a ton of contractors out there and we have a much bigger project coming up that is more like $20-$30K and he basically walked away from that by speaking to me the way he did.

Ricardo Navarro did a complete renovation for our architect daughter's townhouse in Alexandria. This was a complete tear down and build out and up, including integrating geothermal, architectural details, demanding standards, stringent Alexandria codes and a quality finished product that's won multiple awards. Ricardo and his crews are top quality craft people very familiar with Alexandria issues. In fact our renovation went from a 'homely' old Alexandria row house to an ultramodern Alexandria row house.

Navarro Construction is amazing! We had our kitchen completely renovated and the team designed a stunning kitchen. We are so happy with the final product -- stylish cabinets, hardware, stunning new floors, and matching appliances. Thank you so much to this outstanding team!!!

Navarro Construction did an incredible renovation of my kitchen. The tiles and all the cabinets and appliances were stylish and perfectly chosen. They were quick, efficient, and very personable. Navarro Construction has my highest recommendation and Ricardo was very knowledgeable and helpful through the whole renovation process.

I was very impressed with this company. Not only were they on time, they were professional and they set up everything in the home properly. They protected our furniture/floors and after everything was done, they swept/mopped and cleaned up everything. I'm very pleased with their services and we will be using them in the future.
