Poor communications and unfulfilled promises of getting back to you. I called in for an urgent tree removal, they showed up unannounced without any heads up call. The price was a bit higher they offered but without giving any definite time for doing work. They simply left and said they’ll let me know. They never called back but only a week after I already had someone else doing the work.

Very professional and fair pricing. I got a number of estimates as the first few were astounding. Gorilla Trees did a thorough job explaining what needed to be done and why. Ended up doing more then planned but it was money well spent.

They did a very good job on the tree that fell during the last wind storm. Offers great services & for a good price.

I’ve previously used Nolan, messaged him Monday to see if he could take care of all the Spring cleanup for our rental property, which was sorely forgotten for a year and a half. He had an estimate for me in less than 3 hours, and had it done within 3 days of contacting him.

We used him about 5 years ago for all of the yard work at our house when my daughter was born and we were over our heads in baby world! He was wonderful back then, and he’s still wonderful now!

Not only are him & his team great at what they do, he’s a really nice guy whose out there to be kind and do good work! Have recommended him to multiple friends!

Incredibly impressed with this team. Nolan responded quickly, and within two weeks they had our yard fully cleaned up—stumps trimmed, weeds handled, grass cut, and new growth started.

What really sets them apart: our dogs tore things up shortly after, and they came back within 24 hours to fix it at no extra cost. That kind of service is hard to find.

Extremely disappointed with their lawn service.

1. VERY unresponsive. I’ve followed up with them every other day to get an answer on when they’ll be coming back to service my lawn.

2. I was nothing but courteous and pleasant, but never received quotes, pictures, or service like I was assured when they serviced my lawn once. I’ve asked several times now for different lawn work (I.e. tree removal, mulching, weeding) and nothing.

3. They serviced my lawn only once and it just seems like they would rather service their current clientele only. Please just communicate that next time.

I explained to them that my last lawn company just vanished on me and I’ve been looking for some good folks to service our lawn regularly, but got nothing but the same.

I withheld writing this review for nearly 3 months in hopes that Nolan would make things right; unfortunately that is not the case. We paid Nolan and his crew of 3 high school students $2,000 for approximately 3.5 hours of work. He did directly express to me that finding qualified “help” was hard and that his staff did not know the difference between a weed and a plant. I can attest that it is true that he does not have a qualified staff.

On our contract was for the following: yard cleanup (removing sticks, leaves, pre-bagged debris), mulching edging and weeding beds, aerating the lawn and seeding, and two mows.

He asked I pay in full before the work started. Which I did. I should have known better. I generally trust people and this experience has taught me otherwise.

He did not pull any weeds, simply weed whacked and covered with old dried out mulch, left entire areas full of leaves and debris, failed to fully mulch the beds, did not edge any of the beds. How could they possibly complete $2k in work in 3 hours?! He destroyed many of our annuals, with weed whackers and despite promising to make it right and replace them, never did. He was hostile, impolite, and non responsive despite many attempts to ask he simply execute on the work that was promised to us. We paid for two mow, trim, edging he never provided the second even though we asked. He said it would “have to wait” along with his promise to replace the 13 ruined plants - it’s been 60 days since that communication.

This was a big expense for our family and I felt stolen from. I ended up doing the work myself, buying an additional 48 bags of mulch to account for the mulching that was not done, and replacing the plants that were ruined.

If not for the quality of the work I would advise against using this company on principle alone - Nolan is not an honest person and I hope you are not the next he steals from.

JN King frequently purchases fresh sod from us for their landscaping business. The are committed to using high-quality sod for their customers making their business a success, while contributing to ours. Each time they place an order they are friendly, show up on time, and are very pleasant!!! Plus they always share a story on social media creating content that I am happy to share. If this is how they treat a supplier than I can only imagine how awesome it must be to be one of their clients.

Nolan and his team has taken care of my yard for years. They do great work and pay attention to detail while remaining affordable. Highly recommend them!
