We have a finished basement in our Alexandria home, and it always had that damp, earthy smell that we could never figure out. After ruling out any leaks in the basement, a neighbor recommended checking the ventilation.

Active Vent & Air Duct Cleaning performed an air duct cleaning service and discovered an unexpected amount of organic matter accumulating in the ducts for the lower level. They sanitized it and after their air duct cleaning service, the basement smells like the rest of the house. Really great work and very professional with all the specialized equipment, too!

Our Stanley Steemer service team—Anas and Ahmadudeen— was exceptional—thorough and quick. They were very polite, explained all the processes, and took great care with our furnishings. Great service!

Scheduling with Stanley Steemer's online system was quick and simple. Kevin arrived ontime, reviewed the areas that needed cleaning and went to work. He did a great job on my rugs, couches and chairs. Planning to schedule again in the future!

I called Stanley Steemer this morning and was able to get an appointment for this afternoon. Anas and Sadequllah were consummate professionals and very respectful. Anas was also a good salesman and convinced us to add the deodorizing service to each cleaning. We used to have Stanley Steamer over pretty regularly but I bought a carpet steamer a few of years ago so we haven’t had them out in a long time. There really isn’t any contest between their professional equipment and our home steamer. The carpets are still wet but they look lighter already. We don’t wear our shoes in the house but as Anas pointed out, the dust in the air settles into the carpet and discolors it over time. Stanley Steamer isn’t cheap but we’re very satisfied with the job they did.

Do not recommend if you value your time. I schedule two days of back to back services - dryer vent/air duct cleaning on Friday, hardwood floor/grout cleaning on Saturday. The earliest booking window is 8a - 1p arrival, and even on the day of service, dispatch will not tell you where your fall on their appointment list.

Shortly after 11am on Friday, I finally received a call from dispatch, only to be told their crew was running behind and wouldn’t be able to arrive until as late as 3pm. This kind of work usually takes 4-5 hours, and I had evening plans that I could not delay or miss. I told dispatch to cancel that appointment, as well as the one for the following day since I wasn’t going to have my time wasted again. There was barely any apology, and it turns out they didn’t even cancel the Saturday appointment and I had to do that myself.

It baffles me that their scheduling abilities are so off when other service companies are able to plan their appointments with narrower windows and better communication.

The team of Luis and Josue did a phenomenal job of explaining the process of vent cleaning which leads to cleaner air and healthier home environments. In addition, they advised me of other home improvements to save money, clean the air we breath and safeguards from pests and rodents entering the home thru dryer vents.

I had a marvelous experience with Jason this morning! He was right on time, very friendly, and super efficient. I’m very pleased with his work cleaning an area rug and loveseat.

Aquiles Alcala and Jeremiah Latore are excellent technicians. They do outstanding work and are very conscientious and thorough.

Israel and Daniel did a great job cleaning my sofa and area rug. My sofa was filled with dog hair so I was pleasantly surprised by how quickly they worked and the final outcome. They also did all this with an hour as promised. I will definitely utilize this service again in the future.

Victor and Ulises were on time and very kind upon arrival. They got set up and explained everything well and in a timely manner. They had all of my rugs cleaned in a very quick time and showed me how much my couch could use a clean which I added! They both left me with a safer place to live and it smells nice too!
