I was under the impression it would cost $180 at the most. Then I got charged $275 because they deemed it a higher service. You should be up front with customers if it’s going to be higher than their estimate. Won’t be using again

This is a great cleaning company. They do a good job, they're prompt, and I've never had any issues. They're easy to communicate with online, pay, and schedule appointments.

Never booking again. I booked a cleaning service for my mother’s house around Thanksgiving time. They ended up cleaning the basement at no additional cost, or so I thought. I found out that a $550 YSL clutch that was in its dust bag is missing. The dust bag was left behind. Very disappointed.

Thank you for responding. If you check your records, you’ll see that I told the person who helped me book the service (Jose) that I was out of town and that’s why I needed somebody to help my mom clean. I didn’t get back in town until recently to find out that the clutch is missing. I had forgotten about it, until I received a promo text message from Gold Star Maids, which I responded to saying that I will not be using their services due to the reason mentioned above. I’m not asking for a refund or anything of that matter. I just want to warn people that their stuff could go missing especially if they mention that they’re out of town. Thanks!

Arranged for services and they didn’t show. I called 3 times over a 3-hour period (1100, 1200, 1pm) and each time they said they wound reach out and give me an updated time. Showed up at 2:30. Upon return to the house, the floors were still dirty and indications were the job was not done well.

The owner, Janet, contacted me, apologized about my experience, and offered a partial refund and a free service in the future. I understand mistakes happen and appreciate the gesture!

DO NOT USE THIS CLEANING SERVICE. We hired Gold Star Maids LLC (GSM) in July 2020. When we returned home we found that a $3500 new stair runner was melted/damaged on 11 different stair treads. We immediately reported the damage, GSM sent someone to inspect, they claimed the company’s innocence, and that there is no way GSM could/would have done that damage, nor did they ever identify the qualifications of the crew, the actual equipment type/tools used in our home or equipment serviceability. GSM even suggested that we “might” have caused the damage ourselves, or it was installed damaged and we just did not notice! If you are looking for a responsible cleaning service that takes customer feedback and satisfaction seriously—they did not even offer to refund the cleaning fee—then look elsewhere and do not hire or use this company. GSM accepted ZERO responsibility. We filed a claim with the Better Business Bureau, to which we were informed the complaint could not be pursued because it appears the company is "no longer at the address” registered in the Virginia Corporation Commission information system.

Really exceptional service. We used them for 6 months and they come in and work thoroughly and quickly. They'd clean EVERYTHING in our 1400 sq ft condo in about 2 hrs, something I could never do haha

Exceptional. These cleaners go the extra mile and make the competition seem horrible. I've had even my TV trays cleaned. I've had them come several times. They've done all I've asked and accept constructive criticism as well afterwards. It is super low stress to have them come as I find them fairly reliable for coming in.

During the COVID 19 crisis they wear mask and are very conscientious. I’m more than satisfied with the service and our relationship. We are more like family.

I absolutely love that you can book and pay online. I used this company for a move in cleaning and liked their service so much I’ll be using them regularly now. Kathy did a wonderful job and I’m excited to have her be back again. Customer service is also very friendly and helpful. I definitely recommend you give this company a try!
