Dana was quick and knowledgeable in diagnosing the issue with our AC unit. He promptly ordered everything needed so we could have the AC back in the house by the next day. I am very pleased with his service.

Ray and his associate, Isaac, came to do a repair that involved several steps and parts. This team arrived right on time. Ray is a top-notch plumber with great expertise. The plumbing behind the W/D and also in the utilities closet required upgrading prior to an installation. Ray worked efficiently and explained what would transpire during the repair so that there were no surprises. He even provided advice about purchasing longer lines and a longer three-prong cable for the W/D for easy access. The kitchen and the utilities closet looked "like new" after he and Isaac left. They swept and removed any water or debris. This was a stress free house call from start to finish with first-class professionals.

Dennis is always fantastic! Super professional and lets us know every step he did. We've been with A-Action for years and wouldn't consider anyone else for our HVAC service.

Stellar service every step of the way. My technician walked me through every aspect of the fix. Everything was done beautifully. He was courteous, professional, and considerate. The customer service team was great. Norm especially made me smile. The entire experience was perfection.

Another great service from A Action! Had two ceiling fans that were having power issues. Chris came in and immediately assessed the problem and got to work. He had to make some adjustments on one of the ceiling fans (ordered off Amazon) to fit the slanted ceiling and it worked perfectly. 10/10 service.

Tommy did a fantastic job - expert knowledge, easy to work with, good result, and finished early.

Kenneth and his team repaired a dead outlet, fixed fiddly switches, hung chandeliers and other lighting, and amended other issues. Very happy with his work.

Charles was very helpful and explain everything in great detail about my AC unit. He has a lot of knowledge about the heating and AC business very respectful. The only thing I had a problem with was the arrival time which I’m pretty sure he had no control over it because of the traffic

The service technician for this company was dishonest!
I had an HVAC maintenance contract with this company and during a service visit the technician told me and my wife the float in the EZ Trap Drain Overflow switch was "broken" and needed to be replaced. When I asked him how that could have happened, he said he just found the "broken" float sitting on top of the AC unit and couldn't explain how it happened. However, he did say he could fix it by replacing the whole trap for $389. I was very suspicious about the situation since it seemed unlikely that someone other than him could have "broken" the float, and I told him we didn't want it replaced for that price.

I later called the office and explained the situation and my suspicion that the technician may have broken the float in order to sell us a replacement. They contacted the technician to get his point of view and later told me they believed his story.

Well I recently looked into how the EZ Trap works and found that the float wasn't broken but it had been pulled off the stem in the cap. I was able to just slide the float back onto the stem and all is good. No need to replace the whole trap for $389. See the before and after pics below. The service technician for this company was dishonest!

I had a marginal experience at best. Needed to replace gas water heater and I found this company at Bradford White’s website. Scheduled an estimate (at their insistence, I knew exactly which water heater I wanted. The CS stated that the technician needs to make sure exactly what needs to be replaced. I explicitly asked the CS to leave a note for the technician to call me when they were done with the estimate so we can discuss). They came fairly quickly, and this is where things started going awry. No phone call, and the estimate included 2k of things that were not needed, like thermal mixing valve to the tune of $600+, and a pan ($20 @ HD) for $400ish.

I followed with CS, they revised the estimate and we scheduled install. The day of the install, first window was missed, they rescheduled for later that day and finally canceled due to family emergency. I get that stuff happens, but we were stuck waiting for 5-6 hours. They rescheduled for later in the week, the install went fine, except now the technician discovered that the vent pipe was corroded and was actually partially leaking in the basement area. However, that was not something he could have addressed, so someone from the company’s HVAC was supposed to come and fix it. Also, no permit was pulled, bc “we didn’t request it”. Now, I was under the impression that permits are required by the city and not something I have to request…I didn’t request the $2k worth of extra stuff, but that was offered anyway. And then, what is the point of coming to check the site for an estimate, when a very crucial piece of info (rusted vent pipe) was missed.

Couple of days go by, no call from anyone at the company, so I call to schedule the pipe to be fixed. They sent another technician, who seemed uncertain why the first one didn’t change the pipe (apparently this type of pipe is pretty standard and should have been on the truck of the first technician but the second one didn’t have it or something to that effect, so the pipe again wasn’t replaced). Long story short, the estimate to replace the pipe was $600 and again, zero follow up from the company. At this point I am frankly done and will find someone else to replace the darn pipe. This shouldn’t be this difficult or labor intensive on my part, having to make phone call after phone call for something that I would think should have been obvious during the first estimate visit and addressed during the install.

Very pleased with the workmanship. Dana and Kenneth did a top notch and professional job. Even in a rather tight space they made it look clean and nice. They took the time to explain how everything works (or should work) and are very friendly and courteous.
HVAC problems?!, I would highly recommend this company and this duo for the job. A++

Routine Maintenance Service for the heating system. Denis was thorough and did explain what all he did to check the system. He is courteous with a very pleasing manners.

Ray and the team were terrific. 2 hours to install new hot water heater. I would use A Action again. Dramatically more affordable that other companies that end in flow.

EXCELLENT! This was the first time that Tommy visited my home and he was very detailed oriented, explained what the problem was and the solution. I asked quite a few questions and he answered each and every one without hesitation. Highly recommend him!

We had a a requirement for emergency services due to a leak from our hot water heater. Our home warranty company, American Home Shield, failed us. A Action Home Services sent Ray out in less than 24 hours to diagnose the problem. Less than 24 hours later I had the same natural gas water heater and expansion tank, along with a new drip pan with drain piping to my sump pump installed!! Ray and his apprentice, Isaac did an amazing installation job, along with training me on the use of the system. I strongly recommend Ray and his company for all of your plumbing/HVAC/electrical needs!!

Dennis Elvir, of A Action Heating & AC was extremely professional while conducting the annual check up for our heating system, as well as cleaning and installing the pad for our humidifier. He has a pleasing personality and is obviously proud of his professional capabilities. He also ensured our annual membership was up to date. While making recommendations of what should be done in the future he was not at all pushy about it!

I asked A Action to come out to plug a dryer gas line, as I’ve converted to electric. Figured I’d pay $100 or so ($200 max) for a quick and simple job that could be done on the spot.
I was told it’d be $1,000, that it’s a two-man job, that the technician could not do the work then, and I’d have to schedule another time for him and someone else to come back. I did not agree to the absurd price, and then was told there was a $100 charge just to come out, which was not disclosed when my spouse called for the service.
After doing a little research on what needed to be done, I did the job myself, which took under 30 minutes, and cost less than $10 for the part.

It blows my mind how the DC area is just filled with companies that take advantage of homeowners with exaggerated claims of the work needed to do a job, charging exorbitant prices, and often end up doing shoddy work.

It was a good experience having a new boiler install. My new boiler is heating My house really good. It is very efficient. I want to thank both Kenneth and Tommy for the great job they did. They were both very professional.and a pleasure to deal with. I also want to thank Norm for handling the set up for service, he made it so easy for me.
