Cardinal has a new (at least to me) maintenance plan for HVAC and Plumbing services. It only cost $10/month and covers a long list of preventive maintenance checks during the year. It more than pays for itself with the free inspections, cleaning and regular maintenance.

Justin, the technician who came out yesterday to check the heating and cooling systems did a very thorough job, and gave a detailed report with photos and recommendations for some routine maintenance items. He clearly explained things and helped me prioritize the important and the less-essential recommendations, which is obviously helpful for a non-expert like me.

I've used Cardinal several times over the years. They give excellent service using highly skilled professionals.

We had an issue with a toilet leaking from the base on one side. We are members of the Cardinal maintenance plan, so we took advantage of the benefits for this project. Kudos to the scheduler for catching my error for putting in HVAC instead of plumbing! Angelo was the technician. He was able to quickly assess the problem and gave me a couple estimates for the job. He was honest and straightforward on what exactly needed to be done. After agreeing, he immediately went to work and he was done within 20 minutes! He showed me photos of the work he did and explained each step of the process. Our cat also greeted him and that tells me he is a good person. Thank you again Cardinal for always being communicative and willing to work with customers' schedules!

Update as of 1/13/25: Unfortunately there is a leak at the base of the toilet again. Called Cardinal for another appointment. Hope it gets fixed for good this next time!

Second update! 1/16: Angelo came out to review the issue we were having. He tested the toilet flushing multiple times, along with checking our sink and the shower. He discovered our shower door left a bunch of water on the floor after opening by the base of the toilet. Angelo was apologetic for missing this detail and stated he would talk to a manager to secure us a partial or full refund if he can. Despite the late arrival, Angelo was pleasant and professional like before! Thank you again Cardinal for being professional!

Stephen is great! Very experienced kind and helpful. This was an estimate we are still considering but are very happy with so far.

Our lead technician, Tyler, asked the right questions and made solid suggestions. He is also a talent to keep. I’m very glad he did our assessment.

On the day of installation, Joaquin was the first to arrive and very kind and respectful. Roberto is also kind and super professional. They are both talented plumbing installers who consistently made great decisions during the project. We received a new pressure reducing valve, tankless water heater, and laundry pro system in less than one day. Perfect team, perfect project. Thank you my wife now has hot water on the main floor and in the upstairs bathroom. After 7 years of misery and inconsistency with water pressure and temperature, this is the wisest investment we’ve made. Looking forward to meeting tomorrow’s HVAC installers from Cardinal.

Josh and Cruz did our HVAC replacement today and got everything working perfectly. They are a great team. Knowledgeable and responsive. They listened to me and I listened to them. I really think they are top quality and a big part of what makes Cardinal my go to company for any future needs.

They were able to schedule me quickly for an appointment and confirmed right away. They communicated well about who was coming and when. I appreciated the picture and name, so I knew who was coming to my home. The plumber, Jake, did a great job. He worked quickly and efficiently. I appreciated that he gave me multiple options on how to proceed, including the price points. Would definitely contact Cardinal again.

Justin was so helpful today! I was so worried. I changed a filter and a week later it was black! Of course, I thought the worst, mold. And I was seeing $$'s. Turns out, it was soot from the 5 wick holiday candle I had been burning. Great lesson! I won't be doing that again! Thanks Justin!

I received excellent service from Jhony who ran a full suite of diagnostics on my existing system and really went the extra mile, working through extensive fixes and troubleshooting to see if there was a way to repair my existing system. I always try to get as much use as possible before replacement and due to Jhony's analysis, I felt confident with my decision to replace the unit. Mike McCormick was exceptionally helpful in recommending a replacement system that fit my needs and made the process of identifying and financing the right unit hassle free. I was extremely happy with the financing options and guarantees that Mike shared and he secured a fast install so that heat would be restored quickly. I highly recommend Cardinal for any HVAC needs, extremely competent, provide great customer service and very reasonable pricing for high quality, durable work.

We have had multiple projects with Cardinal and they always have the best techs. Communication is exceeded expectations. Our last job was a repair to our sewer line. The inspection and estimate provided by Stephen P was fair and he followed up personally concerned that we didn’t have another estimate given to just tighten the couplings. He cared about the job being done correctly. The tech who came out to do the job, Josh was incredibly personable and it honestly felt like he was taking care of us like family. Both techs used clean linens to protect our floors and were in and out quickly. We recommend Cardinal frequently because they demonstrate they value customer service and clearly take care of their employees.

Angelo installed our new Zip Hydrotap G5 and we couldn’t be happier. The system is pretty new to market so it was the first one he’d done. Possibly the first one Cardinal has done. He took his time to fully understand the complex setup to ensure everything was done exactly right. Once installed he tested everything he then walked me through how to use it and do maintenance going forward. There were a few challenges due to the tight space it was going into, but he took the time to walk me through options to ensure we were aligned with his recommendations. Amazing work! We recently had a Navien tankless hot water heater installed in our 200+ year-old home, which comes with its fair share of challenges. Three other plumbers had difficulty dealing with the layout and complexities of the house, but Cardinal Plumbing handled it professionally and confidently from start to finish.

Josh and Kyle were outstanding. They worked incredibly hard, took the time to do the job correctly, and navigated the unique issues that come with an older home without cutting corners. Their attention to detail and persistence really showed.

Installing a modern tankless system in a house this old is not simple, and they made it happen. We’re very pleased with the result and appreciate their professionalism and workmanship.

Paul did a great job! He diagnosed the issue right away and gave me all of the pricing options up front. I like that there were no "surprise" costs, and they charged me less than the other two companies that had quoted me for the exact same thing. His assistant also seemed very knowledgeable and professional. It was great they had all the equipment necessary already equipped in their company truck so the repair was quicker than I had anticipated. I'll definitely be calling A Action again for any other repairs in my home.
