The other day at 3 am in the morning my mv main water valve in my utility room coming from the street started to leak and water was draining all into my basement. The cutoff handle did not work but I was able to use a Philips screw driver and closes the valve enough so it was not spraying and gushing out anymore and only a steady stream of water. I called John C Flood Plumbing and explained my problem and they dispatched Nestor Rivas one of their plumbers. Nestor was great. Nestor explained the problem and replaced the faulty valve and fixed the leak. Turns out because the valve was old they rubber seal inside the cutoff valve just failed. Nestor then explained and showed how the new valve worked and also cleaned up the area to the point you didn't know we had a leak or valve replacement. Nestor also checked and pointed out two other cutoff valves going to my outside water spickets that too need replacing. I will be scheduling another call with John C flood and Nestor to replace before those old seals go too. Luckily I was home and before any serious flooding or water damage occurred. Could not imagine how much water and damage would have occurred if I was out of town and they seal went then. I highly recommend John C Flood Plumbing.

Ricardo was extremely pleasant and professional. I deducted one star not for the work performed, or end result, both which were beyond the scale of stars, but for the prices. Ouch, $1500+ for a sewer clean out snaking, that’s gonna leave a huge mark on my wallet for a while! But Ricardo had no control over that. I am very happy with the end results and would recommend his workmanship and work ethics highly. 24 years with one company should be in his bio, and get a better photo of him, that one you sent doesn’t do him justice. He was quick to arrive and very efficient.

Very impressed with Jake who came out to give a project quote for replacing my furnace. He was very thorough and discussed all of my options. I'm happy to be working with him and the JCF team.

I also was very pleased to have Justin come out to do the annual inspection of my HVAC unit and make recommendations for what needs to be done to either replace or repair the 18 year old system.

I'm glad I called John C. Flood for a new water heater installation; Jacob was able to come out the next morning to assess and work up an estimate for me with five options, which I appreciated since my previous estimates weren't that detailed. Jacob was super professional and friendly, explaining everything and answering questions. He was also able to match the price of the previous estimates, so I decided to go ahead and he got to work in true master plumber style, finishing the whole job in a few hours. Everything looks great and now I don't have to worry about a 15+-year-old heater going out at the worst time. And yes, my anodes were way overdue for replacing as Jacob happily pointed out! I called John C. Flood to help me to resolve a persistent sewer gas smell that was coming from the toilet in the basement of my house. The tech (John S.) who came out to my home was very knowledgeable and professional. He was able to diagnose the problem and explain the what was causing the odor issue. I am very pleased with the service that I received. I would highly recommend this company.

My furnace died suddenly and it is winter so I needed to get service quickly. John C Flood sent Nathan to check the system, only to find that it was truly dead. Being on old heating and cooling system, any possible repairs would only have extended its life a little longer and wouldn't have been worth the cost. I was away and Nathan did a great job of explaining the problems and options. I decided on a new system after speaking with Joe, who came out the next day. He provided me with several options and I chose the one that made the most sense for my house. The following day, Scott came and installed the new furnace and A/C unit. I came home as he finished and he provided a good tips on how to manage the new system. Both my tenants and I were impressed with each person's politeness, competence and professionalism. I will continue to look to JC Flood for service down the road.

Excellent experience as a new customer of Cardinal! From the intake conversation with the receptionist, through the scheduling process to accommodate my day, to the inspection and advice by Jake, a thoroughly competent and knowledgeable plumber (who put shoe covers on the minute he stepped inside my home), the Cardinal experience was 5 star. Jake suggested several money saving tips I should try to alleviate my plumbing concern before we resort to costly repairs. Additionally, I signed up for their yearly maintenance program and they will call me to set up two seasonal HVAC inspections as well as a check of all plumbing fixtures to ensure they are in good working order. So delighted to know solid, small businesses companies like Cardinal still exist!!

Willie came to inspect my two upstairs toilets that I suspected were ghost-flushing every so often. He replaced one flapper, but said he would have to go to a supplier to get the other flapper since it was a different kind. He also explained that the best course of action would be to do full tank rebuilds for proper and lasting repairs. I told him I would need to think about that. In the meantime, he put blue tablets in both tanks to check for leaks and there was no charge for the visit since there had been prior delays. I think this is very decent of Cardinal Plumbing and terrific customer service on their part. I would highly recommend them!!

Cole and Chris were great. Very polite, helpful, knowledgeable and sympathetic to the issues we had with our install.

He did everything he could to resolve the problem. While he didn't have everything he needed to resolve the issue he worked with his manager on next steps to ensure we have a plan that will help reduce the noise coming from the AC unit.

Cole should be recognized for his work and the way he interacts with customers should be a standard for other technicians at Cardinal.

Marc was exceptional and went out of the way to please. He handled unexpected situations with care and grace with my old house. This was my introduction to Cardinal and plan to call for future needs .

Got an appointment in a timely manner despite snowy/icy conditions. They communicated well before the arrival. Jerson gave me a short lesson on plumbing in old houses. Now we know who to call.

Bryan was able to accommodate our last minute schedule change - we really appreciated it. He notified me when he was going to arrive. When he was here he was very professional - he confirmed the service that we were requesting and then he explained how he was going to provide the service and how much time it would take. He kept within the time frame he promised and fully explained the services he recommended. We would definitely request his services again, the next time we need to call Cardinal.

Good experience. Technician arrived timely, fixed the HVAC quickly - replaced the capacitor, did not try to sell a new system instead of fixing the current one. He did propose couple of upsales but was not pushy when I said I was not interested.

Take it back. Awful experience second time around. Needed to fix furnace...the tech told me that the repair is $3k plus, showed me something on his tablet. Promised to send me a quote and also that it might make sense to replace the system and the guy to give me a quote will be over soon. Formal repair quote never arrived, the guy who wanted $20k to replace the whole system arrived within an hour.

Competitor fixed the problem for $1500. I was tired, wasted enough of my time at that point so just paid it. My guess repair should have been $500.00 to $1,000.00.

I confirmed three separate times that the technician would be there between 8 and 10 am (one of those times is in the attached photo; the other two were by phone). He finally arrived at 1:15. This, I was told, was because he got stuck in traffic. Cardinal is 3/5 of a mile from my condo. The service was fine once he arrived. As for price, I don't know what is typical. I paid $680 for them to snake a drain.

Sergii performed a dryer vent cleaning and an HVAC inspection for me. He removed a blockage in my dryer vent. Turns out a bird made a huge nest. I can now dry my clothes efficiently and with peace of mind. He was very knowledgeable and informative about my HVAC system and was able to fix something wrong found the same day. Highly recommend! Sergii was friendly and easy to work with.
