They were very responsive, coming out the next day to look at the job and write up an estimate. I was told I would get the estimate emailed to me. The problem is that once she left, that was the last I heard from them.

This company is excellent. They did a great job for us. They cleaned up everything on our yard! Very professional, very fast, very friendly and their price was good.

They came, they went to work, cleaned up, and left ... like a Ninja... quick, silent and efficient. Would recommend them. Best service ever...Chris is very professional and to the point.

They did okay with a tree removal, but spiked the multiple trees they were pruning with their boot spikes, which is apparently an awful thing to do to a tree, and way over-pruned. Now our trees are struggling to recover and they look ugly. This result for a very expensive price.

Removed a massive oak from my backyard. Fast, friendly and professional. Crane and crew made quick work of a big job. Cut, cleanup, gone. A joy to watch! Thanks guys. My deepest respect!

Chris and the team got out and took 2 large oaks down in about 3 hours. They cleaned up nicely and I am very satisfied with the work and professionalism shown.

I got a call from my wife that two men with Chesapeake bay tree Inc.were cutting limbs off our tree. They had on co.shirts with phone number and truck. We did not want or request this service. When l question then who authorized that action they said the neighbor. Ask your self who is running this company. Just a heads up.l will get some legal advice.

Chris and his crew are the best at what they do. They took two trees out for me and when they were finished you could not even tell that there were ever trees there to begin with. Very fast and efficient team.
-
Chris and his crew are very friendly, professional and hard working. Every detail was orchestrated beautifully from start to finish. I will be calling them again for another few trees.

We had three pines taken down. The team worked quickly and efficiently and were very knowledgeable about the surrounding trees. They even protected a nearby bush so I could replant it. I'd recommend this company to all friends and family!

We had Chesapeake Bay Tree service remove a large tree, which they did very well. I would recommend them for that. The pruning they did to six of our other trees was harmful. We were concerned and had an arborist come and look at the trees. They spiked our trees to climb them, which is very harmful to the tree, and they over-pruned which deprives the tree of nutrients. They also should have recommended that we use the wood chips that they created from our trees to mulch the trees to improve the soil, which would improve the tree, which they did not.

Excellent work. Fast, efficient, reasonably priced. They are extremely busy but well worth the wait which wasn't that long. Crew cleaned up beautifully afterward and I couldn't tell they were there other than the work was done perfectly. Nice people.

Both my nextdoor neighbors and l were extremely pleased with Chris's crew. Trees removed, trees trimmed, stumps grinded. The yards were very well cleaned when done. Above and beyond expectations. They had to work over powerlines, fencing, roofs and cars and they did so without the slightest problem. Very professional. I highly recommend using them and will certainly call them for our next tree project.

Professionalism vs. Unprofessionalism. I am a young black homeowner that has worked very hard for my achievements and the things I am able to obtain. Therefore when I spend my money for a service I expect it to be A1 especially since I have a customer service background. Here's how it went down. I called two companies for quotes on some work I wanted done around the house. First company (Chesapeake Bay Tree) came over, I pointed out all of the work I wanted. He did not take notes, instead just listened and then wrote a quote of 600.00 on the back of a business card. We shook hands and moved on. Second company (Phillips family tree care) came over, I pointed out all of the work. She took down notes in her notepad the whole time. Even stayed a little later after I was done to take additional notes. Left, sent me a professional quote via email for a little over 1200.00. Naturally anyone would take the lower price for the same work so I scheduled the time with Chesapeake Bay Tree. First, I was given the day they would come but was not given a timeframe. By the time they showed up, without a call in advance, it was around 4pm. By this time I had already left the house because had to run errands but my wife was here so no biggie. Second, when I got home after my wife already paying I noticed that they only did about 65% of the work. So I called and left a message to see if maybe they were coming back. When I got a call back I was told basically that for the price of 600.00 that was the work I was supposed to get. After I explained that was not what we discussed, he said he would come back the next day to look at the remaining work. Next day came, no call no show. Long story short, I gave two stars because the work they did do was actually good but if you plan to work with them make sure you write down everything you want done.

We had Bay Tree remove a large, dying river birch that didn't recover from Hurricane Isabel after being pulled back into place. They also removed three tall holly trees, and ground all the stumps.
In addition, they raised the canopy on some other river birches to let more sunlight into the back garden. They came in with a good price arriving on time with a great attitude, listening to our concerns about damaging the lawn and our woodland garden. We had 4 stumps that were in garden beds surrounded by established azaleas and other plants. We had recently seeded the lawn and we were concerned about heavy equipment especially after we had had two days of rain and the ground was soft. They brought in a very small stump grinder that did not damage the lawn or garden. I didn't even see wheel marks across the lawn. One stump was very tricky to get to, but they did. They were the only company that we talked to that offered an option of a small stump grinder. The grindings were cleaned up and the grindings from the large river birch were hauled away. You can't tell where they removed the stumps. Overall a great experience with good communication and customer service. We will use them again. -
There are not enough words to explain how thankful we are for Chris and his team who came all the way to NC to help clean up from hurricane Florence. We evacuated and came home to a mess of a house, with a huge tree on our roof and half our trees knocked over throughout our yard. We live back in the woods with only a small dirt road with a creek on either side, very difficult to get to. We were turned away by several companies, which told us the job was too difficult and would require too many men. Then there was our saving grace, Chris and his crew. The moment we met Chris, he told us it would be a heck of a job but he loved a challenge. That right there goes to show what kind of dedication him and his team have, for the work they do! Not only did they show up a day early because we had rain coming and needed to get the tree off the house, they went above and beyond to work with the obstacles of our difficult terrain. I have never witnessed a team work as hard and quickly as they do! We are forever grateful for them and there is no one I could recommend more for this kind of work! Thank you from the bottom of our hearts! 🙏🏻

Chesapeake Bay Tree has been a tree service well known in our area for 20 years. They successfully cut trees down, remove the logs, grind the stumps and leave the premises clean and in order. Many of our neighbors have employed them several times. Their prices are reasonable and fair. This is a local and reputable company. Chris Mowery owns and maintains his equipment, replacing and repairing when necessary to maintain the highest quality. You can't hire a better service.

This company has removed 8 trees altogether. 6 the first time and two this last time. They also pruned our last tree a couple of times as well as grinded all the stumps. Cleanup of logs were the next day and the prices are very reasonable. Chris and his team did a great job!!! This last time it was a little difficult to get them out because they are very busy but it was worth the wait. Highly recommend.
