Mr. Brooks and his team did an amazing job on our four large trees. He was on time to the estimate and the scheduled job, priced fairly, and did a job above and beyond our expectations! The yard is cleaner than when they showed up and did their very best to avoid all of the plants everywhere under the giant trees. The team is skilled, professional, performs about the competition and we look forward to hiring them again in the future. If you're in the Hampton Roads and you have trees, you need to give Mr Brooks and his team a call!

Mr. Brooks and every single person he brought to our property was prompt, courteous, professional, knowledgeable, responsible, and meticulous.
We hired Mr. Brooks to do some work in our yard in 2008. He went above and beyond, educating us about all the different trees on our property and what would make and keep them healthy even before he gave us a quote.
After 8 years of being very happy with the growth of our trees, we hired Mr. Brooks again to do a variety of work that included trimming a tall tree, removing a tree and grinding its stump right next to the house, and a technically difficult large stump removal on a steep slope that was somewhat difficult to access. Mr. Brooks and the people he brought in performed it all with ease. They were very polite and courteous to everyone in the neighborhood.
His pricing is quite fair.

Great communication from beginning to end with Mr. Brooks. I had called several tree services for quotes, but Brooks came out with one of the best price. I, not only settled with him because of his price, but because his demeanor and professionalism over the phone.

As for the tree service, I had one large pine tree in Norfolk that I wanted to get rid of. The tree was leaning towards the neighbor's fence and was sandwiched between the fence and my deck. The trick was for them to cut it in a way where it dropped towards the yard, and sure it enough it did. Clean job after it was all said and done.

Brooks Tree Service has performed tree work on 3 occasions for us - a stump removal, a canopy reduction and a controlled removal (top down extraction) at different times. In each case the work was performed with professional expertise and great care. Mr. Brooks was very accommodating and the site was left neat with no damage or debris. The workers took no shortcuts or chances and everything was done when promised. All this at a very reasonable price!

A most pleasant experience working with a true gentleman and professional who completed my tree trimming with his experienced and efficient team of employees. He personally remained on the job site, guiding all the work. He made certain we liked his work, and when we decided to cut more from a big oak tree, he efficiently modified our contract, and for a very reasonable sum, completed the extra work. Charles and his crew from Brooks Tree Service were awesome! He is professional, friendly, and very detail oriented. When I left a message for him, he returned my call promptly. When he came to see what we wanted to have done, he answered ALL of our questions and provided us ( emailed once complete) with a very detailed written proposal with options. He broke down our wish list into sections with the cost for each so we could prioritize our wish list and our budget. On tree removal day, Charles and his crew arrived promptly and got everything set up to remove two trees from our backyard. They were precise in their work ensuring no damage to our property or other trees in our yard. They removed ALL limbs, branches, and even raked up the leaves and smaller bits that were left behind after the trees were removed. Charles made sure we were completely satisfied with the work before he left. Charles and crew- THANK YOU for EXCEEDING our expectations!! Brooks Tree service did a free estimate of our tree's health and answered some questions I had about it's health. I was very impressed at the knowledge and professionalism they had for a simple estimate. Overall our tree is in good health and it was a bit of an over reaction on my part. Brooks Tree service was able to help me understand the state of my tree and gave me effective recommendations to allow its continued health.

Fantastic company. I highly recommend Brooks Tree Services. We have a beautiful Bradford Pear tree in our front garden but it is enormous and we were losing limbs in every storm. Ryan and his crew came out quickly and trimmed the tree right back, as well as severing some roots that were displacing our front path. Apart from seeing that the tree had been trimmed right back and looked great, I would never have known they had been there. And the tree was COVERED in blossom, which must have gotten everywhere! Our neighbors said there were at least 6 of Ryan's crew cleaning up the street! Ryan was easy to communicate with, responded quickly to messages, and was the ultimate professional. We are thrilled with the end result and are so happy we can continue to enjoy our tree safely.

I cannot give high enough praise for Mr. Brooks and his team. My whole experience from start to finish was exceptional. My husband and I are listing our home in Chesapeake and badly needed work done in a short window of time. Mr. Brooks responded to my call very promptly and was out within a day or two to give a free estimate. Not only was he extremely professional and personable, but he made sure to be very descriptive in his recommendations for the work he thought our property could benefit from. He explained everything they would do and made sure to include me every step of the way. He and his crew were out a few days later and in under 4 hours we had 3 trees removed and 7 cut back. The result was a total transformation in light and visibility on our property. Not only was the crew very efficient in clean up and debris removal, but they proceeded without any prompting from me, to kindly take my personal yard waste along with all of the tree fall to the chipper as an added bonus. I was doing an immense amount of hedge trimming and clipping of my own that day and had accumulated piles of branches and over 5 garbage bins of leaves and dead fall. They saved me a dozen trips of bagging and putting yard waste on the curb. Additionally, I had unwisely not asked whether or not Brooks Tree Service accepted credit cards and was not able to make my payment day of for need of transferring funds to a checking account. Mr. Brooks has been very understanding and it is my only regret that I could not settle up with him day of. I will be recommending his services to all of our friends in Virginia and badly wish we had used his service while we still lived here as our front and back yard look amazing now. Thanks to Mr. Brooks and his crew, outstanding job!

Tree service and the service is excellent. Mr. Brooks is an arborist so he does have a lot of knowledge on trees and shares his knowledge with you. They were prompt, courteous, professional and responsible for the job at hand. I would recommend him for any type tree service that you may. I had a very large mimosa tree in the backyard that overhung two fence lines. After speaking with Charles on the phone, he came out to my property to quote the job very quickly. Once I had signed the contract he and his crew were able to come out and take the tree down within a week. Charles was very responsive and punctual throughout the whole process.

Charles and his crew were able to make quick work of what I would consider a difficult job. All work performed was exactly as discussed and the crew left my property clean and neat and also made sure to pick up and rake the neighbor's yards where small debris and shavings had fallen.

Overall working with Brooks Tree Service was a pleasure and I would certainly do business with them again. Great communication and punctuality!

Mr. Brooks and his crew did a fabulous job on my property as well as on my neighbors property. He is very knowledgeable and professional as well as his crew. They did a great job not only on the trees but their clean up was as if there were no tree service ever here. He explained in detail everything that was going to be done and he did exactly that. I needed 4 large trees trimmed on my property. I got other estimates that were cheaper, but here is why I decided to pay more: Charles Brooks is an arborist. He knows trees and he showed me on each tree his strategy for trimming them for the best results while protecting the health of the trees. He wrote a very thorough quote, and included cleanup in the cost. He brings a professional crew and another key factor was that he doesn’t just send a crew; he is on site during the job to make sure the crew executes the job exactly how we planned. The whole business transaction was responsive, professional, and promptly completed. His crew even cleaned up a pile of shrub trimmings that my wife had piled up next to the house on their own. What a nice bonus! When I need to service my trees in the future, I plan to call Charles Brooks.

We have used Mr. Brooks' services about a half dozen times over the last 25 years. I could not recommend anyone more highly than him and his team. They are professional, thorough and phenomenal at what they do. We have several trees over 50' tall within 30' of our house and his periodic trimmings have give us the peace of mind to keep and maintain them rather than cut them down.

Mr Brooks and his crew cut down 5 trees for us and trimmed back 10 grasses. They were awesome. From the first phone call Mr Brooks was so polite, professional, timely and organized. You can tell he takes pride in his business. The quote was very detailed and the job they did was fantastic, it was done perfectly and our yard left looking neat and clean and as if no one had ever been there with chainsaws and machinery! We had a very positive experience from start to finish with this company. Mr. Brooks came to our home to give us advice on 6 crepe myrtle trees that were in serious need of trimming. He spent quite a bit of time with us explaining his recommendation for each tree, and made sure we agreed with the plan. He gave us a written estimate and assured us that he would personally be on site for the work. We were so impressed with Mr. Brook's professional demeanor that we felt comfortable having the work done while we were out of town.
