Dudes were awesome! Needed a chimney inspection for a new home and these guys were fast, professional and very honest of the state of my chimney. They made recommendations but at no point tried to sell me stuff I didn't ask for or need. They took care of what was in need of being taken care of and I had a fire that night! I've never owned a chimney or never had a chimney guy but I do now!

I called Eli to have my chimney removed. He came out and looked and gave me a quote. When I called him back a little over a week later I had to remind him of what he quoted me and we set the appointment. almost 2 hours after his window of time to show up I call him to be told he had an emergency job but would be over soon. 3 1/2 hours after that I called again and he said he was just getting ready to call me and was waiting on another worker and would be on his way. I said nevermind. The fact that he never called me to let me know he was going to be late, let alone over 5hrs late was enough for me. I'm not going to force my money onto someone.

Eli's came through for me at the last minute. I am very grateful because I needed the report so I could move out. If you need any kind of documentation that your chimney was cleaned out good, go with these guys.

Called a reputable company out for an inspection in which my fireplace passed. A few weeks later called that same company out for a chimney sweep. After they swept the chimney they presented me with an invoice saying that my chimney was not useable and needed replaced to the tune of $9 thousand. How it would pass one day and fail two weeks later is beyond me. I immediately called Eli who came out within an hour for a second opinion. Turns out the first company was trying to make some easy $ off of my home owners insurance. Couldn't be happier with the service from Eli's Chimney Guys. On time, quality work and no hassle. Tells it like it is. Highly recommended!

Eli's Chimney guys were supposed to be here at 3:00 and did not make it until 6:00 at night. They seemed nice enough when they arrived and cleaned out the chimney, though it was getting dark when they finished, I paid my bill and the next day my wife noticed the cap was all bent up (the house was built 1.5 years ago and the cap is brand new.) When I called Eli about the cap he said it was already like that. I asked him why he did not notify me he said it was in working order. I again let him know that it was new and there's no trees near the chimney that could cause the damage. He insisted it was not them even though his crew is the only ones that have been on the roof since the house was built. If there was a lot of damage when he went up there you would think they would let the home owners know, I feel they damaged it and were hoping we wouldn't notice. Poor behavior for a business owner.

Commenting on behalf of my wife who is apparently a "complete fool", and expanding on a couple things.

Just because you've been "doing this 20 years" doesn't mean you're good at it. The metal binding you put on and didn't seal properly wasn't effective. 3 other people that we had come look at the chimney told us it was doing nothing and asked if they could remove it to inspect further. The first two removed it and put it back on, the third we told them to not put it back on.

You gave us a two hour window for the work each time, and each time showed up late. I would give you the benefit of the doubt once maybe twice, but we had to get out of work multiple times to sit around and wait for you to not show up on time. It's cool our time doesn't matter, we'll work more later to make up for it. You even called my wife to verify one of the appointments that you had scheduled because you didn't remember when it was. You don't have to defend your tardiness, it's written in all of the comments here. Also, I know it's legal and you may have a perfectly good reason for doing it, but it's a bad look when you're an hour or two late and you guys reek.

Your temper tantrum on your last appointment was an easy cop-out for you not finishing your job with a "warranty", that you clearly couldn't figure out on your 6th visit. You weren't even interested in hearing why it was removed, your only response was "you shouldn't have had them remove my work, i'm not doing this" as you storm off to your van.

$385 (which was on the invoice, that we actually gave you $400 for) for a low-effort caulk job that looks awful, and a sheet of metal that wasn't fully sealed. Yikes.

Go ahead and attack me in your response as you did my wife, shows your professionalism.

Final edit because this doesn't deserve any more attention. I'm glad you modified your comment so you're no longer attacking your customers, that's a step in the right direction.

You get what you pay for. I wanted to go with a small business guy trying to support his family. I was assured that the grout would match ("you won't even be able to see a difference when I'm done"), and that the horrible leak I had would be gone ("it doesn't get any better than this, your problems should be over.") after replacing my cap and installing a new chimney-top damper. The grout job looks terrible and the thing leaks like there isn't even a damper there. We'll see how he stands by his work, although I've already tried to call him once without getting a return call.

He stood by his work. Mechanical failure of a new part turned into a warranty repair. He never even mentioned charging me and did a good job following up via phone to ensure the repair was completed correctly. It took a few trips out for him, but the job was done correctly and the problems resolved. Very friendly and thorough. Good prices. If I have one complaint it would be that he didn't do a good job cleaning up after himself. Chunks and pieces of grout had to be picked up afterwards, and the cleaner he used left a big dead spot on my grass. That's my only complaint. Otherwise great service and quality job at a good price.

Very knowledgable, personable, and excellent customer service. As others have noted in their reviews.... Eli really does answer his own phone. Timely response when we initially called on Wednesday afternoon. Came that same day (he was close by on another job) and gave the estimate. Work was completed by 1 PM Friday. Pricing was very reasonable for the guaranteed/quality of products he uses. Pictures shown to us of all the repairs needing done. We had a complete understanding of what he was seeing and what repairs were being made and how. Great experience. Highly recommend.

I appreciate small businesses where the owner is also the lead. Fast and efficient. Excellent price. Called Monday was able to fit us in the next afternoon as we were on a schedule. Professional quality work and a great price! Recommended and will use again as needed in the future.

Knowledgeable - I had so many questions and not once was he not able to answer. If you don't believe the answer Google it I guarantee you with get the same thing.

Communication - Not once did I have an issue contacting the company when I had questions or concerns regarding the job. The one time the phone was not answered I received a call within the next 10 minutes.

Cleanliness - After the job was complete all they cleaned everything up so I could have lit a fire as soon as they left.

Quality - The work not only looks superior but the material is top of the line quality. Got to see all products that were used in the process and had to test the functionality of the system before the work was considered closed. Not only was the price affordable, but not ONCE did Eli compare his services and quality to anyone else. Outstanding job.

Affordability - I did a price comparison for several companies and this one was the top choice for the work.

Training - I know there are many small companies that dont have the ability to properly train their workers but Eli was able to properly supervise and assist the gentleman​ that he is training. Looks like he already knew what he was doing but he was still able to provide more insight as they completed the job.

Honestly, I wouldn't hire purely based on the unprofessional manner in which customers are spoken to in review responses.
That aside, I do have friends who have hired this group and have had to hire someone else to fix the fix, so to speak. They were late without notice as well noted in other reviews. I understand the nature of this line of work and know all to well the importance of communication.
I can not vouch for the quality out lack there of. This review is based on professionalism.

*In regards to the owners comment: I don't know who he speaks of. This is an honest opinion based on reading reviews, responses, and word of mouth of which is now validated by his response. Beware of any company that calls their clients names and any company that would list any of their customers' names.

Great service. Speedy turnaround. I called for a move out inspection and they were able to get out to me short notice. Very professional and pricing affordable.

Eli and his crew are amazing! We had an issue with our chimney cap falling off and he was out there the same day to take a look. Came back and got it all fixed up quick. He was also looking at potential spots that could cause leaks and made sure to get those all covered so we don't have any further issues. 100% recommend!!

We have been working with Eli since 2016. He is very professional and personable. He comes promptly when we call and takes care of whatever issue we have. He is very knowledgeable. Our dogs like him too
