PuroClean was responsive, professional, knowledgeable, and great at communicating. They were able to come out the day after we placed our insurance claim and they started work right then and there. They know how important it is to be very quick to address water intrusion issues and for that I’m very thankful! Puroclean did an exceptionally professional job of remediating the mold and moisture damage we had in our home. We had extensive damage to the room over our garage as a result of humidity buildup behind the walls. While multiple contractors offered to do the work, Puroclean was the only contractor who provided a detailed estimate with specific plans for how to contain the toxic materials and ensure they did not contaminate the rest of our home in the process. Beyond this, they clearly took pride in their work and demonstrated an impressive work ethic, with both of the owners of the company actually showing up to do the work in one-hundred-plus degree summer weather. They had both the expertise and drive to do great work and successfully removed a substantial amount of damage in our home, while providing us with the peace of mind that our home and health were not being threatened by sub-par containment and remediation strategies. I absolutely recommend this company to anyone facing moisture/mold issues. Puroclean is an honest contractor who will ensure the job is done right the first time.

Simply the best! My mother was recovering from a heart attack in SC when the apartment next to hers burnt down causing major smoke damage and some fire damage that condemned her apartment. I googled fire damage service and of course got a national franchise listed first, but they shouldn’t be. PuroClean should be the first search result for anything they deal with! Not knowing any better I went to the un-named franchise simply for being the first search result but their customer service was horrible, setting an appointment and not even showing for it without any warning when I told them I was working on a time crunch do to the apartment being condemned . When I found PuroClean they literally saved the day! Their communication was top notch! Their response time was immediate and the service they provided was of the highest quality! I didn’t think much would be salvageable of my mothers belongings but they managed to save almost all of it! Their price for the job was more than fare and they communicated every step of the way, even going far above and beyond what my expectations were. I can’t recommend these guys highly enough! True, caring professional’s who are the best at what they do, that’s who and what PuroClean are!

Came out for an estimate, said he would email me the final estimate. Never received it. Called back said he would check it out later, still never received it. Tried calling back multiple times and left a message to voicemail and haven’t heard anything back over the past few weeks.

100/100 Stars. Okay, so we had a leak at our home, which only turned out to be a much bigger problem several weeks later. With my husband deployed, home owners insurance being absolutely awful to deal with, being displaced from our home (3 small kids, 100 lbs. dog, 3 cats), children with underlying health issues to include breathing issues, being deeply concerned about the ill effects unmitigated water damage was doing to our family home, while our insurance caused delay after delay, I was literally losing my marbles. I hired another water mitigation company that I shall not name (I know I know, big mistake, keep reading) and I will pray you are not so unfortunate to hire them for your home. They turned out to be very shady - this is a big warning to everyone - I did my research within my limited skill set in water damage and that company was 5 star rated, but I know without a shadow of a doubt that if faced with significant mold issues, that company would of taken the easy, cheap, fast way out and hidden or covered up or not fully mitigated all of our water damage or the ensuing damage. My kids have breathing problems, my husband has asthma, my daughter has eczema, I am allergic to mold - I had very valid and very real concerns. As the delays with insurance continued, so did the damage to our home, and as the damage further impacted our home, the company I originally hired basically abandoned the job. Chuck Ritenour to the rescue! Chuck kindly and compassionately agreed to take over the job and has gone above and beyond every single time I have asked a question, needed expert guidance with my home owners insurance, or what to expect for timeframes or next steps, or how to navigate unexpected damages to our home. My husband is deployed and cannot be here to help navigate this giant mess - but Puroclean, specifically Chuck, has helped to stand in for him during these times of crises. I needed information so I could understand the process of what was happening to our home, how to expedite things, how to protect our children, how to navigate complicated insurance lingo, or what simply was coming next - and Chuck took the time every single time to help me understand what the next step was. 99% of what I now know about water damage, my home insurance, how to deal with awful insurance adjusters, my rights as a responsible homeowner, industrial hygienists, mold or microbial activity - I have learned from Chuck. When we move back into our family home, it will be with the peace of mind that someone trustworthy, hardworking, honest, and with absolute integrity has fully mitigated all of the damage that stupid dishwasher caused. Thank you, I am a very grateful momma, and so glad I can rest my worrying heart.

This has been hands down one of the best experiences with a service pro. First things first is Chuck answered his phone! Never went to a vm, a recording of any kind or an AI chat… When someone answers their phone they for sure have my business! Chuck was beyond helpful not only with his knowledge but his time as well. There are some people in life that go above and beyond and he is one of them. I highly highly highly recommend. I just spent the last three months of my life working with Chuck, Brandon, and Wes to complete a major unwanted rehab in my home. Not only did I feel safe with them in my home, but the level of detail and professionalism from all three men was stellar. After careful research but also amidst our panic from an unexpected flood, we reached out to PuroClean of South Chesapeake. This was hands down the best decision we ever could have made during this stressful time. From the moment we reached out to finishing up the job, Brandon and Wes were amazing. They were both professional, knowledgeable, reliable, easy to talk to, explained every step of the process in a way that was easy to understand, and had answers to our many questions.

Our indoor finished garage flooded just before Christmas. Despite the holiday, waiting for lab samples to be tested, and working around our schedules, Brandon and Wes finished the job very quickly and soon the space was back to normal. We were still able to use our space during the process as well which was helpful.

Just a few weeks later we unfortunately had another flood which affected the same indoor garage as well as our outdoor garage. We were able to get in touch with Brandon after hours (as soon as the flood occurred) and him and Wes were at our door at 8am the next morning, even bringing us coffee and donuts because our power had gone out! The second job took them even less time, completing the tasks within a day.

Although we had to deal with flooding twice and had to throw away most of our belongings in the affected areas, Brandon and Wes made the situations seem not-so-stressful. They were so empathetic and I don’t even want to imagine what our experience would’ve been like if we went with another company. This is one of the best companies to work with. I suffered a water loss due to a water heater in my condo. This company came out very quickly to my home and started the mitigation process. The company was prompt, professional, and organized. They removed the damaged house items and left no mess. Once complete, I hired them to do the reconstruction. They completed the work with my schedule in mind. My house stayed clean throughout the process due to their commitment to customers. I’m glad I had them on my side the whole way! Call them if you have ANY water damage. They caught it before it got too bad.

From cleaning up the water, preserving what could be saved, and installing new floor in our home, the entire experience was very pleasant. Phenomenal company! We had water damage in three of our rooms due to aged window calking. We contacted PuroClean of South Chesapeake and the owner of the company came to our home the next day. Chuck was very respectful of our home, checked all the affected areas, walked us through the damaged areas, was extremely knowledgeable and detailed, and gave us a step-by-step plan regarding what needed to be done and why.
