Constraction reviews in Fairfax, Virginia

Brad from Grout Genie did an awesome job deep cleaning and resealing our shower. He was thorough and gave great recommendations and advice on how to keep the shower cleaning. Would definitely recommend this company and will definitely come back here first for any future work needed

The Grout Genie was amazing. Brad who was our Technician was awesome. Showed up on-time. Had everything he needed. No up-selling. The shower looks brand new. Excellent detail to work. The cost was more than fair and the value is incredible. If you need grout or tile work Grout Genie is one of if not the best.

We contracted with Grout Genie for a grout cleaning and sealing project a couple of years ago, and were very pleased with their work. We referred them to neighbors who were also favorably impressed. , Recently we engaged them for a second project, and got the same outstanding experience. Brad was timely, neat, professional and efficient, and Nicole in the office was promptly responsive to our inquiries. This family owned company provides exceptional service at a fair price. We recommend them highly!

We reached out to Grout Genie to inspect, clean and seal our grout as well as do some caulking in our bathroom/shower. Nicole was very responsive in getting us an estimate and getting the work scheduled. Rich came out to do the work and we are very happy with how it turned out. Like the other reviews have mentioned, Rich is very knowledgeable, honest and hard working and also took the time to explain how our shower was built, what to watch out for and what our different options are down the road when we decide to replace. We definitely recommend their services and will be reaching out to them for future work!

Great experience from start to finish. Corrected issues with the downstairs shower. Provided 2 quotes, one to do a complete redo of the shower pan, drain, shower door and frame. Second to fix issues with the drain pan and door. Downstairs shower so we went for the less expensive effort. Job turned out great. Cleaned up after each site visit. Great experience!

I had a great experience with The Grout Genie. From the start, their communication was clear, prompt, and professional—they kept me informed every step of the way. They arrived right on time, which I really appreciated, and the quality of their grout repair work was excellent. Everything looks clean and refreshed, just like new. It’s clear they take pride in what they do. I would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for reliable and skilled grout repair services.

Richard, Hans, and Nichole were very knowledgeable, efficient, pleasant, and professional. They spotted the cause of problems and discoloration of our tile and explained everything clearly. Highly recommend!

Hans and Jorge did a great job. They cleaned, sealed and regrouted two baths/showers, a tub and all the flooring. Fantastic job and I highly recommend this company.

Rich did a great job on our shower and bath/shower combo. He was on time, came in and got straight to work. He continuously updated us on his progress and the result was wonderful. I did the estimate online and scheduling was quick and easy. I will definitely use this company again and highly recommend them.

I do not know where to start, Brad and Rich are beyond amazing. I started with a vision of what i wanted, they informed me about the various options being very informative. They are the Tile gurus, the grout genie truly provides more wishes than you can imagine, i am in awe with my new bathroom. Check out the before and after. Check out those lines! Thanks Grout Genie for a wish come true, ask for Brad and Rich! Beautiful!

We worked with Lynn, Richard and Brad. All were personable, professional and technically skilled. Richard did a great job on our marble countertops, replacing the silicon caulking in the kitchen sink, and repairing the bench seat in our MBR bath. Brad did an excellent job removing and recaulking in the MBR bath and downstairs shower as well as cleaning and applying epoxy to the floor in our MBR bath. Lynn kept us informed from time of scheduling estimate through the entire scheduling and work process. They operate like a weel oiled machine. I .highly recommend Grout Genie

We used Grout Genie recently to clean & repair the grout in our shower & kitchen sink. Brad arrived promptly at 9 am and made our shower look brand new! He also fixed the silicone around our kitchen sink and did a great job with that, too. Hard-working, personable & knowledgeable— highly recommend!

We had a great experience with installation of tile on our fireplace from Grout Genie. The tile required preparation in advance and some on the job adjustments. They did a great job communicating changes and working with us to make sure the end result was what we were hoping for. They were also reliable with arrival, the timeline for the job and worked to keep the room clean during install. The end result was fantastic.

Brad was very professional, hard working and on time. Those three things only are worth the very reasonable price to have our shower tile and grout lines deep cleaned and resealed as well as recalling done around the shower doors and bathtub. Thank you Brad and Grout Genie!

Rich was able to clean my bathroom shower tiles and enclosure, as well the floor and tub area, to make it look almost brand new! He added epoxy seal to the grout lines and silicone and now I have a bathroom I’m proud to show others! He offered advice on how to keep the bathroom clean, which products to use, and was very polite and professional. I plan on using Grout Genie again in the future and highly recommend them.

We hired the Grout Genie to repair the grout in our showers with new silicone. We also had issues with the primary shower, where there was water pooling and not draining properly because the tiles were not graded appropriately. Richard came in and inspected the issues. He was very knowledgeable about the different options for solving our issues and made recommendations based on the longevity of the solutions. He recommended retiling the floor and adding a layer of epoxy to fix our issues and not require work in the future. We ultimately decided to go with this solution. Richard did an incredible job; our showers, especially the primary, look great. Our previous shower floor always looked dirty despite routine cleanings. Richard significantly improved the shower floor, having the water drain properly and efficiently. The Grout Genie exceeded our expectations in every way. They are responsive, professional, and detail-oriented. We could not be happier with our bathrooms and newly retiled shower floor, and we owe it all to the Grout Genie's expertise and dedication. We highly recommend their services and look forward to working with them on future projects, especially when we retile our primary bathroom floor.

My Master Bathroom tile was replaced two years ago by another contractor, but apparently done improperly. Caulk had disintegrated, grout on the floor was porous and discolored.
Brad was fastidious! We had everything steam cleaned, caulk replaced, grout lines on floor and shower floor epoxy painted. He answered every question, and explained every step of the process. I have a better understanding of the problems with the original installation. These repairs won't last forever, but I'm hoping to get at least 3 years before I have to do more work.
Next time I do a tile installation, I will call Grout Genie.
Price is a challenge but it was an all-day, meticulously done job.

We hired The Grout Genie for help with two bathrooms - Saul did such a wonderful job correcting horrendous water damage for our jack and jill bathroom! We had a long term leak from the tiniest grout hole and he had to make multiple trips to the store in order to fix all the issues lurking behind the old tile (he had to rebuild the entire wall). He made sure it was done right and won't trouble us ever again!

Brad did a marvelous job correcting failing grout and signs of cracking in the masterbath! He had to dremel out all the old problems and was so meticulous when fixing it. Even had to repair one of the tiles!

They both did such a great job of explaining things as they came across them, and all of the modern tiling practices too! #epoxy #schluter

Richard did a great job figuring out where my master shower leaks were coming from and fixed the tile work to address all of my issues. Not only is he is extremely knowledgeable about tile and plumbing, but he charged a reasonable amount for the work he did. If you have any tile issues, Richard and the Grout Genie should be your first call.

We had a great experience working with the Grout Genie from start to finish! The whole process was very easy, from emailing the pictures of our bathroom, explaining exactly what we wanted done and then getting the quote and appointment set up. Brad did an amazing job on our bathroom…it looks like a brand new shower! He was efficient and thorough and made sure everything looked perfect before he was done. We already have them scheduled to do our guest bathroom as well. We definitely recommend the Grout Genie!

We had a great experience with The Grout Genie. Our shower is about 11 years old. The floor and walls are all tiled. We just could not get the grout and door trim looking clean anymore. After a few hours, our shower looks brand new again. The tiles, grout, and door seals/trim are sparkling. They were friendly and professional as well. Worth every penny!
