Professional fast response and the personnel are excellent. We appreciate the expert service we received. We can now keep a large household appliance in service hopefully for many years to come and out of a landfill. This saves us from purchasing a new machine and the enormous effort it takes to get it into our basement laundry room.

Tech showed up on time. Texted 30 mins out and says he can fix the issue with parts that they will order. Very happy so far. Very responsive.

Hamed was great - so professional, so calm and very thorough! He put everything back exactly the way it was and everything now works perfectly! Repair was also very quick from first assessment to installation.

Hamed Hotak the tech, was her promptly at 8 am and had to disassemble the dryer to attach the belt to the drum. He did a fabulous job and the dryer works fine again. It was a time consuming process for him to literally take apart and then put back together, but he did it with no complaints. I would highly recommend using Virginia Appliance for any needs the may arise in the future. Thank you.

They came quickly and had incredible insights into the issues. They even spent time telling us how to address other issues we had. Incredibly reasonable pricing and I will be sure to call them with future appliance repair issues

The technician was courteous, efficient, prompt in arriving, and left the site clean. But communication about the repair was sparse, which required me to call regularly to ask about the status of the repair, and the payment terms were not clearly explained. While the office staff member was courteous, it took two weeks from the first appointment to the repair with little explanation or contact. It was only one part replacement. When I paid the deposit, I heard nothing until I called several days later. I felt that it would have taken even longer if I had not called regularly for updates. When they came for the final repair, I was given no choice in the timing, just informed when it would be. Ultimately, however, the dishwasher was fixed.

The technician arrived during the designated window and was polite so no complaints there. However, the repairs that were done took a very long time and are still not complete. Apparently there's another part that is needed to finish the job and this technician does not carry it on his truck. This means we'll have to schedule yet another service call.

The repairman was non communicative. He took a phone call from someone while I was explaining the issue -while I was speaking to him. He was eager to charge me $113 and leave but not actually repair the dishwasher. I will now have to call a different repair company and pay again. Total waste of time and money. Would never use or recommend this company to anyone.

Prompt, knowledgeable, and thorough! Everything I needed as I prep my house for sale. Have to wait for a part to complete the repair but I really appreciated the info about how to make the appliance work in the meantime. Service call fee applies to the cost of the final repair, which I also appreciate!

Super nice guy, Gulilat was professional and friendly, did his job quickly. Also, he fixed a small issue without us asking--the door of the washer makes a loud sound when it opens for some reason. He unscrewed the baseboard and did some magic to fix it 😀

A great experience! Selina was kind over the phone and very informative with reasonable pricing structure and scheduling me for next day service. Hamed arrived within the window (early ish) and I got updates on timing. He found our bozo issue with my refrigerator that I hate (frozen water clogging something or other) and he had his heat ray gun ready to go. Friendly and fast and efficient! And now I hate my fridge much less. 😊. Will call again for sure!

My oven needed repair and Virginia Appliance came out and was able to quickly diagnose the problem. They ordered the correct part for me and came back about a week later to install and my oven worked. Hamad was efficient and courteous. I can’t speak to pricing as this was all covered under warranty but from a customer service aspect, I would recommend.

I’m updating a previous review for my dryer repair. After some initial confusion about the warranty, the owner of VAR called me personally at night to apologize and committed to fixing the problem as soon as possible and with a full refund of the money we were mistakenly charged. We are still waiting on a part to be installed. However, the owner was able to get our dryer working temporarily while we wait for the part to be shipped. It’s always great to work with small businesses who care enough to provide great service.

TL/DR: It took VAR 12 calendar days to fix my oven with poor communication on timeline.

I called on 12/10 to get a diagnostic on my oven. The repair person quickly determined there was an issue with the igniter on 12/11 and that I would likely have an estimate by the following day Thursday.

I had to reach out to VAR on Friday to get my quote. I quickly agreed to the repair and we heard nothing else back. Apparently in the quote it stated 3-5 bus days for the replacement part to arrive. Having heard nothing, I called back the following Tuesday (6 days from diagnostic). The scheduler said the part was due to arrive late Wednesday, but likely wouldn't be able to confirm part until Thursday, so they wouldn't be able to schedule the repair until Friday.

I called back Thursday morning and they still hadn't confirmed receipt of the part. Further, they told me they were completely booked Friday. At that point I demanded someone at my house Friday or for them to cancel my already paid deposit for the repair.

At that point they came back with the fact they were within the 3-5 bus days for the part, and that I could cancel but would only receive 50% of deposit back.

I reached out to a couple of other Vendors that Friday who informed me that in spite of me knowing what the part was, they couldn't guarantee the technician would be able to fix it by Monday. So at that point, so close to Christmas, I continued with VAR on the repair.

The technician came (finally) on 12/22. He was in my home for less than 30 minutes for the fix. And yet, they couldn't make the extra effort to fit us in sooner. He was perfectly pleasant despite me voicing my frustrations with them consistently over the previous week.

Between my constantly having to engage them, and the fact that they were unfazed that a customer was without their oven for 12 days (we went back and forth on this issue and they never acknowledged that was an unacceptable standard for a customer to be without a major appliance), I would strongly recommend paying a higher diagnostic fee to a different company. I certainly will be in the future.

All around a very good experience. Charm is very personable and very helpful in arranging for a technician to come the day before the recent snow storm when my scheduled appointment was two days after the storm hit. Hamed provided excellent service and quickly solved the problem we had with our refrigerator.

This was a fast reaction troubleshooting/diagnostic call for a malfunctioning dishwasher. The technician arrived in the early evening and relatively quickly diagnosed the malfunction. He stated that Virginia Appliance Repair will get back to me within one to two business days with repair options and costs. Given that this was on a Friday evening and that this was at the end of a (probably) very long day for the technician, we appreciate his persistence and willingness to complete the call and not reschedule. We also appreciate the responsiveness of Virginia Appliance Repair. While I had to call the company to make sure that things were still on track when the technician did not arrive or make contact 30 minutes after the scheduled arrival time (of 5:00 PM on a Friday afternoon), their call/scheduling center was available and responsive and did work with me and the technician to ensure that he would complete the troubleshooting call. I am happy that I called Virginia Appliance Repair and would recommend their services.

I would give them zero stars if that was a thing.

This company is the worst. They don’t keep track of estimates they promise. They don’t keep track of the messages customers send with the details, so they then call to ask for them again. They don’t keep track of payments they have received then call to ask for payment weeks after the payments cleared. And they don’t keep track of irritated customers who leave messages telling them they were going to contact KitchenAid to tell them how awful they are. KitchenAid should rethink their authorized partner status.

Oh, and they also don’t keep track of messages telling them to stop all communication with a customer who was sick to death of their ineptitude..

They came out to repair our oven. Told us they needed to order parts and would send an estimate. The tech asked me to text them photos of the model number. He then charged me $110 and left.

Two weeks later I texted asking where the estimate was. They had no idea. They asked me to send new photos of the model number.

A week later, they called to say they never received payment. I called back and offered to send them a copy of the cancelled check. They never replied. They also never sent the estimate. I called an told them not to bother and that I would be getting back in touch with KitchenAid to schedule service with a different company (which I did) and file a complaint about them (which I also did).

Then they called me again this morning to ask for the model number again.

They are the most incompetent company I have dealt with in twenty years at least. I have no idea how they are in business.

    Avoid them like the plague.

I would recommend Virginia Appliance Repair LLC for any appliance repair. Gulilat, the service technician, was very knowledgeable and great to work with. He made sure the job was completed correctly. And his team was very responsive - when I called and no one answered, I immediately received a text message saying someone would be in contact with me and shortly after that they called me back.
