West End provided great service and fair pricing for my heat pump split system replacement. They identified some improvements that could be made with my duct set up and talked me through some add on options and were honest about which ones were right for me instead of just trying to sell me things I don’t need.

We finally found the service needed for our Bryant HVAC system! Since the initial installation, we didn’t find satisfactory maintenance after Bremac closed! Charlie did a very good job getting the system set properly and will return in the spring to check the AC!

These guys are absolutely fantastic in their service. They were prompt in identifying the issue with the heater during brutal cold periods, provided several options to address the problem. There was no pressure at any point and they went above and beyond to order parts over the weekend to ensure the issue is fixed asap.

Charles Heyssel was outstanding. In 20 years of owning this home, he did things no other HVAC tech ever bothered to do. He checked and cleaned the gas furnace flame sensor, found a leaking PVC flue pipe that would have damaged the unit, and repaired it properly. He then went under the house, discovered a leaking drain pipe that was causing water damage, fixed the leak, and even installed a clean-out so I can manage it easily if it freezes in the future. Thorough, proactive, and genuinely looking out for the homeowner. I can’t recommend Charles highly enough.

Jason arrived within the stated window. He was very courteous and knowledgeable. I have a single unit with three dampers controlled by thermostats on three different floors. The damper motor for the first floor had burned out. I was fortunate that Jason happened to have the part on hand due to a recent similar job. The damper was in a very tight spot, but Jason was able to get to it and make the repair relatively quickly. I am very satisfied with the service and will use this company again for future needs.

The gentleman who came to look at my unit, were very kind and were able to help me figure out that they couldn't help me do what I needed to do. They were very understanding and they didn't yell at me for things I had no control over. I'm grateful for them, and I will use them again in the future when my thing gets set up correctly. Jason, the owner of West End Heating and Air, came highly recommended to me by a person in the know and in whom I trust. He installed a new HVAC system with an air filter one year ago. I am so happy I went with the air filter because shortly after that I found I have “Richmond Allergies” 5 years after moving here. I found it helpful with both the allergies AND dust.
My AC unit is right outside of my sunroom. Before the new unit it was very noisy. Not so anymore!! Air conditioning is VERY important to me as I moved here from Wisconsin and am not a fan of Virginia’s heat and humidity. Not a problem with my new system!!

I don’t remember the exact price off hand. But Charlie was exceedingly professional, courteous, knowledgeable and thorough. Given the age of our furnace and the severity of the winter, I truly believe his work helped safeguard my family and I am exceedingly grateful. He is a stellar asset to your company .

Surprisingly fast service, Called on a Sunday morning and someone arrived less than 1hr later and had the heat back up and running. Very polite, professional receptionist, was able to pay the service fee very easily on my phone and was automatically sent a receipt. I’m glad I called them and will definitely use them again.

We are yet to finish work with them but The technician was able to provide his suggestions. We need to replace one hvac unit and he cleaned the other one which. Was not providing heat. During his diagnosis he also found our water tank leaking and provided good plumber contact. We are happy with the overall promptness.

West End Heating & Air has earned our complete trust. When we bought our home, we discovered that the original ductwork had been installed directly on the ground in the crawl space and was rusting out. Our house was built in 1890 (which was before indoor plumbing, electricity, or central HVAC) so the crawl space is extremely tight, less than 18” in most areas.

We reached out to multiple companies, and West End Heating & Air was the only one willing to take on the challenge. They didn’t shy away from the hard stuff. The job required trenching part of the crawl space just to make room for new ductwork, and it took over a week of difficult, hands‑on work. Jason and his team showed up every day ready to tackle what most companies wouldn’t even consider.

They also installed a second HVAC unit in our attic for the upstairs, which has made a huge difference in comfort and efficiency. Since then, they’ve continued to be incredibly responsive and reliable whenever we’ve needed service. They even installed a new water heater for us.
