I started using J&J Landscape about 18 months ago. When I started with them, almost all of my front and side lawn was decimated. With their expertise and support I have the best lawn. They provide support for all areas, seeding, treatments, mowing, landscaping, mulching and leaf removal. They also have great communications and outreach. Special shout out to Braudytt Reyes, my account manager, who has helped me through the regrowth process and ensuring all my needs are cared for.

We love our hardscaping that Elite did for us! They worked quickly and around the weather (which has been a bit persnickety this time of year!) They were professional, friendly and helpful.

I have used Elite Landscaping for years. They really go above and beyond. They truly do it all and are great to work with. From weekly grounds maintenance all the way to concrete and hardscape work and back to seasonal flowers. True professionals

I gave “Elite” Landscaping a full season despite being warned by a neighbor (who also stopped using them) and I regret it. Literally thousands of dollars wasted.

I paid for “complete” lawn and plant care, yet my yard declined under their service. Hedges developed disease and rot, trimming was uneven, and my lawn became patchy with weeds and bare spots even after following their recommended treatments. They also broke multiple sprinkler heads during mowing discovered during spring irrigation service. It cost me $300 to repair. Also, a tree they planted died, yet I was expected to pay again for a replacement with the owner attributing it to the previous homeowners not watering it properly. They quoted $1,385 to remove another tree. I had it done for $625 including stump removal.

Communication is frustrating. The crew won’t answer questions or make adjustments onsite. Everything goes through the owner, Bob. Scheduling is entirely on his terms, not the customer’s.

The most concerning issue was the lack of accountability, combined with a consistently condescending tone. Concerns were deflected or blamed back on me, with no real solutions offered. I strongly encourage anyone considering this company to read the owner’s responses to negative reviews, as they reflect exactly what you can expect: defensiveness, dismissal, and blame-shifting. You’ll see the pattern.

It also became clear over time that the level of service was not consistent, and appeared to favor long-standing customers, while newer clients did not receive the same level of attention.

The final straw was when I mentioned my husband would put down grass seed to fix bare spots. Bob said, “Tell your husband to stick to fighting wars and leave the lawns to us.” Completely unprofessional. I terminated service immediately.

I did not feel respected or valued as a customer. The entire season of service was a complete waste of money.

I’ve since hired a more competent landscaper, and the difference in care and results is night and day.

Would not recommend.

We are new customers to Elite and are impressed with their service and commitment to excellence. Our property already looks so much more improved. It’s a great way to begin the Spring.

I have been a client of Elite Landscaping since the company started in the 1990’s. I started small and have gradually added services over the years. Bob Landers, company owner, has helped with the majority of landscape decisions, and because of his talent my yard and garden look great - clean and neat, but also creative. The company treats their crews well so they stay, and many remember my garden and provide helpful advice each year. In short, you can’t go wrong with Elite Landscaping. I think they’re the best landscaping company, by far, in Northern Virginia.

Elite has been doing my landscaping and sprinkler system turn on the past few years and they are amazing! Very responsive to lawn weeds and quick fixes when needed for the sprinkler system. Love this team!

These guys are fabulous. Personalized service and consultations, friendly and knowledgeable crews, you could not get any better.

The work has been done to my satisfaction, and the service has been incredibly reliable. The prices have been reasonable and they do standby their warranty as one of my shrubs has died and had to be replanted after falling the proper watering instructions after 10 months.

Fairfax county ordinance states no machines to be operated before 8am. Have some respect for a neighborhood. Very unprofessional.

I had an appointment with them to come out and take a look at my yard to give me an estimate, but they never came. I called, but didn't reach anyone.

I lived in Fairfax county for 33 years and I have never seen such a dirty unprofessional service in my life , you even ask them to clean up their dirt , they simply run away like cowards , don't waste your time , any other company is guaranteed to treat you better , stay away from this scam

We have been with Elite Landscaping in Burke since 2004, and they always exceed our expectations in customer service, quality, and professionalism. They have taken care of drainage, landscaping, trimming/mowing/insect control, you name it; all of it, excellent.

I called Elite 5 years ago. One person came and we talk about doing a patio. But I never got the estimate. I called Elite again this year about doing a deck, thinking things would go better. The person was very professional and knowledgeable. But again, no estimate. BTW, two different people.

Elite landscaping makes the highest quality patios, walkways, walls, etc that I have ever seen. The craftsmanship is amazing, the crews are friendly and they are trust worthy when it comes to any landscaping and hardscaping work!
