I called to ask for a quote on a roof repair and they got someone out the next day to look at the repairs that were needed for a leak in my roof. I received a call to get the estimate for the repairs, and was able to get put on the schedule for the following day to get the repairs done. I received before and after pictures of the repairs. Very nice and professional people, great customer service.

Wow, we couldn't be more pleased with work done! The threshold tread (front door) was broken, he replaced it and it looks fantastic. He also replaced some missing soffit on the roof. We will definitely call them for more work!!

I can not say enough about the amazing experience I had with A Better Handyman! I called and set up for them to simply come out and give me a quote on fixing a hole in my roof, and not only did they give me a quote, they informed me that they had an opening and could possibly get the work done the same day! A few hours after the initial phone call, I was informed the work would be able to be completed that same day as the quote, and not only did they show up in a timely fashion, they completed the work in a mere hour and half! I am blown away at the customer service I was shown by Lee, and will absolutely be calling A Better Handyman any time I have a repair need around the house! Great company and great people! 👍🏼

I was referred by another company for a roof repair from recent storms. I tried for several weeks to get them to come out and assess and repair. Any time I called the office (I called them four times over several weeks), it was one excuse or another...promises to get back to me. I have no indication that they ever even stopped by to assess. No contact. No estimate. They certainly never performed a repair. If they couldn't do it (it is a 3-story home), a courtesy phone call would have been appreciated. No follow through. So I am moving on to find another, more reliable company.

Her willingness and understanding to be attentive and responsive to our needs speaks volumes to the wonderful and outstanding customer service me and my family received during our time of our roofing needs! What a relief I can call A Better Handyman to get things fixed and fixed right. Joe and Shannon, the employees are reliable and friendly. Quick response.

Where to start... call them on a wensday evening, talk to a lady about what we wanted done on our house. They stopped by Thursday and checked thing out. Thursday even was sent a quote via email. Replied that evening as well to what we wanted to start with first. They showed up Saturday morning 7am and proceeded to tear off the roof on our garage. They replaced rotten wood installed the shingles fast. Then they removed a bad attic fan and installed a new one as well. In the mists of replacing the roof the kids pool got popped. We call and left them a message letting them know what happened to the kids pool, and to let there workers know to please be careful. I believe Joe came over saw the pool and went and got a new one for the kids. Even after we told them we weren't worried about it. Thanks again to A BETTER HANDYMAN SERVICES, They went above and beyond our expectations. We definitely use them for more future work. Thanks again .

First time using A Better Handyman. Called for a quote for gutter cleaning at 10:45 am and got a quote over the phone. He arrived at 12:00 sharp and was finished by 2:00 pm. Same day service. He was very nice and did a great job. No complaints here. We will use this company again.

Joe and his guys have done a wonderful job on our house. They’ve painted the entire inside, rebuilt both the front and back porches, updated our bathroom, and more. Will use them for everything in the future. Great local company.

Very, very responsive and communicative. Fair prices too! I had gutters cleaned at two locations and during those cleanings, some minor roofing damages were noted. Joe/Shannon responded within minutes of my contact and literally, both jobs were completed within hours of my request. Great service!!!

I called to have a small roof repair. Matt showed up at my house an hour later and said he could do the repair right then and there. Matt replaced a few shingles and unbent and caulked the affected fascia for a reasonable price. The work was done in less than an hour and everything was cleaned up. I also got Matt to look at a ceiling repair caused by the fascia letting storm water to damage it. He advised to wait until the next rain to see if it leaks. He took pictures and told me to call the office if no leaks to schedule the work. I appreciated Matt's advice and professionalism. He communicated well and I'm very pleased with his work and service. I'll definitely be using this A Better Handyman and Matt again. Thanks for a job well done!

So many kinds things to say about this business, they are professional, courteous, More than accommodating and we’re able to fix the leak very quickly. Spoke to the owner personally and he explained everything step-by-step and delivered on time and on budget. His staff is top-notch, very professional, very clean and we were grateful for the quick turnaround on the roof leak. If we could give more than five stars, They truly deserve that.

A Better Handyman LLC just completed trim work on my Mother in laws house and made her the envy of the neighborhood. Shannon kept us up to date every step of the way. The work was done in one day and everything was done professionally from beginning to end. I Would definitely recommend them if your looking for a trust worthy contractor to complete a home improvement task big or small.

There is no job too small for this handy man! I called them because the company that built our home poorly installed vinyl siding and it recently fell off for no apparent reason. They came out the very next day and were able to fix it! I will never called another handyman! They were kind, courteous, and their front desk manager is phenomenal! As a 1st time home buyer/owner, I HIGHLY recommend them!

We had Joe come and help us fix and upgrade our bathrooms. They were able to repair the ceiling in one bathroom and updated the paint. In the other bathroom they fixed the tile flooring and installed shelves. They did a great job and we are so happy to have two fully functioning bathrooms again!! Thanks Joe and crew!

I needed a 20 ft shed walkway replaced; the original 1-in x 6-in x 4ft composite lumber was falling apart. Work done was excellent quality by a friendly and professional crew of two. The process was rocky, however.
Original lumber was screwed down on stringers and had too-long unsupported free ends that were gradually breaking off as the material aged. Initial plan was to add a stringer support closer to the end and replace lumber. I assumed replacement lumber would be screwed down like the original; having a long history of frustration with popping nails on a deck, did not want nails. Quote for the walkway was $800. After discussion we shifted to 2x6 pressure treated wood which eliminated need for the new stringer since those are stronger boards. Price did not change even though pressure treated 2x6x8ft is one quarter of 1x6x8ft composite (used Lowes for comparison). My concerns about the price for the work (22 boards cut in half and the halves screwed down) wrestled with my laziness and desire to just get it done. Laziness won, agreed to price.
Crew showed up prepared to fasten down replacement wood with a nail gun. Discussed my preference for screws with business owner who told me he had me on body cam recording agreeing to galvanized nails—I was unaware that our conversation had been recorded and had no memory of agreeing to nails. I never reviewed this body cam recording. I consider his failure to mention it devious at best. As it happened, the compressor for the pneumatic nail gun went belly up and I was able to get the boards screwed down, but I had to supply the screws—about $20 worth. Total job took about 4 hrs, including a run to the hardware store for a couple more boards. There was small light fixture installation that brought my cost to $970 and did not add time on site. Total labor costs for the day, after accounting for $120 for lumber (Lowes’ website price w/o tax) and a 10% discount from an advertising flyer, was $863 for about 4 hours work. Had the crew arrived with sufficient lumber and nailed the boards as planned, they would have been done in 90 min or less.
Bottom line, the work is rock solid but I had to fight for the fasteners I wanted, supply them myself, and I paid a PREMIUM price given that material costs dived from $440 (22 boards @ $19.97ea--Lowes) to $125 (22 boards @ $5.67ea--Lowes) when the plan changed from 1x6 composite lumber to 2x6 pressure treated. A friend of mine who has contracting experience said I was gouged; the numbers incline me to agree. Ideally, I should have done the price homework before the job but only did it after because beforehand, did not know exactly what would be involved. A great lesson, if painfully expensive.

Quick to respond! Provided images of the damage and the finished product! We couldn’t get anyone to come and fix the issue without replacing the whole roof until better handyman! They checked it out and fixed it all in the same day under 3 hrs! Would recommend to anyone!

We recently had extensive worked performed on our home, including two new porches, flooring, painting (internal and external), fixtures, etc. I cannot express enough how easy it was to work with Joe and his team. Joe is very communicative, and he and his team are reliable. If they say they are going to do something, they do it - on schedule, if not before! I am happy with the work quality and feel like we have a brand new house. I am not the easiest to please, and any questions or concerns I had were answered and handled. One thing we really liked is that we were able to share general idea of what we wanted done, and Joe came with suggestions to accomplish the goal. We are not experts by any means, and Joe helped “translate” what we wanted to actionable plans.
