I hired their services when I was moving out of my home and was very satisfied with their service. They were very detailed in the cleaning of each room, specially the kitchen and appliances. They're also very nice ladies.

The Maids are very professional and do an excellent job of routine cleaning. I greatly appreciate being notified of their arrival window at that they are on the way.

High prices, cleaning went over estimated time therefore charging us more than original quote, and many things were not done. Maid service had to come back out to do what should have been done the first time. Very nice and friendly staff and management, but for me the job complete was not worth the money spent. I’m thankful but Disappointed.

We’ve unfortunately had multiple instances of damage with The Maids—the most egregious being scratched and dented furniture. We tried working with them to ensure this wouldn’t happen in future cleanings, but damage kept occurring. The cost is too high to have this happen on a regular basis.

This cleaning service is excellent. I have been through 3 others and this one surpasses the others by far! They cleaned under the furniture, all of my molding, the lampshades, the kitchen cabinet fronts and trim, the window over the kitchen sink, all of the knick knacks, even dusted the thermostat! They are not inexpensive, so I balked a little at first, but, after having them come, I'm sold. I am allergic to dust mites and I can breathe freely finally after they left. I am very pleased with their work.

This was my first time with a cleaning service, and I'm so happy I did it! The team was quick, professional, friendly, and did an amazing job. When you think about how much time goes into a move out cleaning on your own, the fee was extremely reasonable and worth every penny. Thank you so much!

Hired this company because of the great reviews. However, now I think they are bogus reviews.
My experience...I called them told them exactly what I needed, they quoted a price...I agreed to that price. Was told that they charge $140 per hour and would need 1.5 - 2 hours to clean my 1900 sq ft rental home (which was totally empty of furniture). They told me that this estimate was based on square footage. However, on the day of cleaning I was called and told that they needed additional time of thirty minutes. They couldn't give me a direct answer as to why, only that they haven't finished up everything and needed more time. I, of course wasn't happy with this adjustment and said so. So, I just wanted to warn others of this. Beware of the quotes that they give you, because after they get there and start the job it's a higher charge in the end.
I had a different company quote me $230...I should have gone with them. With The Maids, I ended up spending over $100 more than that.
No one likes to be up charged!!!

Wanted to update this review...The Maids ended up charging me $295, which was $15 over the quoted range. Also, I wanted to add two stars because of the excellent job they did. When my realtor checked on the place he was impressed with the job that they did in cleaning the property. They are very thorough, and I can appreciate that. In the end, it may be worth the higher price that they charge!

I used the Maids to clean my Mother's home as a Mother's Day gift, and I couldn't be happier. They sent out a crew that was big enough to handle the job, and the ladies took care of everything. They were only there for a couple of hours, but they were working hard the whole time. They provided all the equipment for the cleaning, and looked very professional. This was the first time I ever used a cleaning service, and honestly it was worth every penny. I highly recommend the Maids

I am just so totally impressed by the Maids of Richmond. I get them to do deep cleans on my house every 3-4 months. So far I haven’t found a spot that they missed!!! And I look!!! I was so frustrated with one of their competitor companies in this area. I had been a client of that competitor for multiple years and even after pointing out ALL that was missed each and EVERY time - no adjustments were made at all. I even asked that other company to actually use THEIR OWN CHECKLIST that they left every time to tell me “what they cleaned” so they could know exactly what to clean! They never would! That was not my only negative experience with corporate companies in this area. I was very worried going with a new company but saw the YELP reviews for The Maids and decided to try again. I have NOT been disappointed. The group is so incredibly thorough. The house absolutely sparkles and I have 4 pets and 2 teenage boys!!! If you are even thinking about hiring a cleaning company - The Maids is the ONLY company to go with in this area! Trust me - I have tried them all!

The Maids have been cleaning my house for several years now.
I love the prompt service. I love the team for 4 women that show up and get the cleaning done quickly and efficiently. I continually catch them doing those little things that make a difference - moving couch cushions, wiping down picture frames, cleaning off doors. They do a great job at taking care of the big cleaning and also pay attention to the details. Communication is good and if I have ever had an issue - which is rare - they are quick to respond and take care of things. I highly recommend their services.

My husband and I hired The Maids to do a deep clean of my mother-in-law's house, as a gift for letting us stay with her while our house was being built.

They are a bit pricier than other cleaning companies that I contacted but they had great reviews online. I'm pleased to say they were worth it, in my opinion.

The ladies did a fantastic job! They performed a thorough clean of the house; they were professional and efficient. One of things that impressed us the most is that they took the time to move furniture out of the way (tables, chairs, night stands, etc) to clean underneath. They were great about dusting/cleaning pictures and Knick knacks, then putting them back exactly as they were before. The cleaning products they used left a nice & light fragrance. There were no harsh chemical smells left behind.

When they were done, the team leader took a few minutes to go through each room to explain what they had done and to see if we had any questions/comments/issues that needed correction (which there were none).

They did have to delay their arrival due to someone calling out that day, so they only had a team of three instead of four. But they texted me to let me know and were very apologetic. Because they were down a person, what would have been a 2.5 hour cleaning took 3.5 hours. Not really their fault, you can't help the actions of others. However, I was concerned that I would have to pay more because of the extra hour they spent cleaning but was pleased that they honored the price they quoted.

I will definitely hire them again, should I need their services.

Word cannot express how grateful I am for this company. MaidPro dropped the ball and cancelled my cleaning at the last moment on a Friday & I was staying in a hotel because of home repairs. I needed my home to be thoroughly cleaned before I could move back in.
The Maids moved stuff around and got a team of four out to my home in less than two hours.
The ladies did an awesome job! My home was spotless where it was covered in drywall dust when they got there. They got the job done quickly while paying to detail.
I highly recommend this company. I'm a satisfied customer.

Excellent Service and Great People! I have had The Maids come out to my house a few times now and they have been absolutely amazing! They came with a team of five people and they cleaned my house from top to bottom. They had a great eye for detail and cleaned things I didn't even think about! It is such an amazing stress reliever to come home to a house that has been thoroughly cleaned by a group of amazing women!

They do a thorough job of cleaning every time and always pay close attention to anything special I want done. They work really hard and I’m always thrilled when they’re done because my home is spotless. They’re also so pleasant and friendly and aim to please. I also love that it’s a local family run business. I highly recommend them.

I suffer from anxiety & depression and then had an injury on top of it all & these ladies brought light into my favorite place in the world (my home!) I am beyond happy & am now set up with them every 3-4 weeks for a cheaper price next time! Awesome deal. I honestly thought my apartment was beyond repair & it was so dirty becaus it’s just old plus we live in the city but I’m not even joking I feel like I’ve moved into a new apartment. They are so very appreciated I literally wanted to cry I was so happy. It definitely has improved my mental health & well being just being able to enjoy my home for once. The team from CottageCare Richmond did a great job of cleaning my home. They were efficient and thorough. They welcomed my pets and covered their excited mistakes. All the spaces, I can no longer teach were clean.

I have them over once a month currently and everyone who has come in so far has done a great job! Xiomara and Jackie came in the last two times and they did great work. Camellia at the office is also very easy to work with on schedules and requests. No complaints so far.
