Jake, the owner has ghosted us after we paid $670 for dishwasher repair. Previously completed work for us with no problem.

Worst business practice, took $1800 for ordering parts from us. No answer and emails are never responded. This guy is nothing less than a thief. We are in legal battle with the company now and there is no owner response for my lawyers letters. Don’t work with this guy

We were running out of options for repair of our ancient electrical lighting system in our warehouse. So glad we found Pungo Appliance. The work was expertly and professionally done. Additional repairs were added at reduced cost.

Two time failure to show up despite confirmation. I scheduled and confirmed a washer repair appointment. Company was a no show, no communication. In treating to give them the benefit of the doubt, I scheduled again, online. I received both an email confirmation and a voice confirmation. Company was a no show again. No communication regarding failure to show up and failure to respond.

Jake came out and diagnosed our problems with our dryer, ordered the part and we paid for labor and then he stopped replying. It’s been almost 2 weeks. Do NOT use him!

I paid $1200 to replace the compressor on my refrigerator...it worked for week..he told me I had a 1 year warranty ..but would not answer the phone and⁵ voice mail is always full. I Finally after months of trying got in touch with him he told me he would be by the next day the next day to see what was wrong and never showed up... Now he won't answer the phone and of course voicemail is full again... I guess I have to take him to court... Stay away from this company !!

Jake Rhoades cashed our deposit check for $250 and did not return to fix our washing machine. He has not returned multiple calls or contacted us.

Paid for our oven to be fixed, but after several missed appointments the contact died. The voicemail is often full and if you do actually leave a message, don't expect a reply. Avoid unless you enjoy calling constantly for an update and never getting anywhere.

My family contacted Pungo Appliance Repair online 10/21/2021 and scheduled an appointment for the following day. On 10/22/2021 we received a follow up call to give additional information about our appliance issue. During that call the in person service appointment was changed to 10/25/2021 between 3-5PM. We received no follow up call on 10/25/2021, and both the phone number in the company confirmation email and physical number we were called by do not work. The worst part of this is that our address is less than 20 minutes from the company’s physical address. I will not discourage anyone from using this business, but will advise you to use caution. A business that ghosts a first time client proves that they’re not completely trustworthy.

Pungo Appliance was the only company I found with the expertise to handle the sophisticated repair on my built in KitchenAid refrigerator. Jake handled all aspects of the work personally and provided all of the documentation I needed to get reimbursed by my home warranty company. I would highly recommend him to anyone.

We used jake previously to repair fridge and he did great work. However we are now being ghosted after pre-paying for work to be completed on our dishwasher. This seems to be out of character considering we had positive interactions previously…I hope everything is ok with Jake. At least communicate though. We will be disputing charge and finding a new vendor.

We called about a broken washer machine. Jake quoted us 219 for parts and an additional 120 for labor. He took payment for the parts and said he'd return when they came in, he then missed 2 appointments. After many missed phone calls and texts, he finally got back to us and gave a full refund. From other reviews we were lucky. Still would not recommend but he did the right thing in the end.

This is the second time we used Jake Rhoades’s services. He he came immediately when called, estimated the jobs and purchased the material. He replaced a ceiling fan, fixed electrical outlets, inside and outside, and replaced the gasket on our dishwasher. He is an extremely talented, young man, and very professional. I highly recommend him to anyone in need of home repairs of any type. He is extremely efficient and versatile with a wide range of experience from electrical appliances to ACs and plumbing. Jake was great. Responsive, polite, and worked with LG to get warranty parts. The replacement compressor didn’t work so he went to his shop to get another compressor he had in stock, then worked the rest of the day to get it working. A+ service
