Thomas was able to draw up and show us what our new patio would look like in less than 10 minutes after arriving. The crew came three weeks later and I could not be more happy with our new patio right before the holidays.

We purchased a home with a less than desirable back lawn. Thomas was able to make several recommendations on how to make the lawn more level. The crew power raked the lawn, added a new soil, and added a fescue sod. From start to finish the crew communicated clearly and cleaned up all of the debris from the deliveries. They did a great job.

We ultimately went with another company due to a higher overall cost, but our experience with Impact Landscaping was very positive. We received a same day estimate, and the sales representative took time to answer all of our questions thoroughly. He was the only contractor we met with who knew all of the plant names and could explain how everything would work together, which helped us make more informed decisions about the landscaping we ended up installing. Very professional and knowledgeable team.

I had a large cleanup done, the crew did a great job on a multiday cleanup. We are particularly pleased with the turn around time, only a week and a half. The estimate was short and a little rushed becase it was raining, but they went over our entire estimate piece by piece that evening on the phone. The crew leader took the time to walk around twice during work and ensure everything was right and to gain clarification on how I wanted things pruned. I felt like I was in great hands. Overall, a great service, but as other recent reviews stated, the cost is a little higher than others.

Project was a garden replacement. The owner did the consult. Had a visual mock up made on a iPad. Two man crew . Half a day job. The results were a great upgrade. Love the plant selection. Hauled away the old dirt and shrubbery. Answered all my questions on the care of the new plants. Highly recommend.

I couldn’t be happier with Impact Landscaping. Thomas completely transformed the space and handled every step of the project with true professionalism. What really stands out is his honesty and dedication—not only did he do excellent work, but he also gave me straightforward advice when something I was considering wasn’t necessary, helping me save time and money. Impact Landscaping knocked it out of the park. We were extremely unhappy with another local landscaping company’s installation of drainage off of our downspouts and front ditch when we used them in 2021 that required a lot of maintenance on our part. Thomas was very honest and upfront with his recommendation to redo the front ditch and install a better drainage system that has minimal upkeep on our behalf and makes our yard look much larger (which is a plus). Yes we put down sod in the middle of winter but the team explained what we need to do on our part and let us know to call them with any future questions and they are happy to come out and help us keep it growing. Though we were told the project would take two days, it took three but his team was very communicative and got the job done. They were also able to install a rock bed in our backyard’s dead space and redo our flower bed’s edging adding better curb appeal. We are very happy with Impact’s professionalism, open communication, and quality of work and would absolutely recommend them to anyone looking to have landscaping done.

5 stars All the way!!! My wife and I decided to upgrade our backyard with a new stamped concrete patio and our research led us to Dr. Dan's website. Browsing through images of all their successful projects, we automatically knew the quality of their work was fantastic. They came by right away, took measurements, answered all of our questions, and quoted an amazing price for a top of the line, very large stamped concrete patio. Dr. Dan and his staff were extremely professional and courteous throughout the entire process. Even the equipment they used was impressive. These guys did an amazing job with our project and left my property clean and tidy when they were finished. The honesty and integrity we experienced with this company was priceless. Dr. Dan is one of the most wonderful people I've ever met. He and his wife are very generous and even threw in a free drainage system for us (worth $1500) at no additional charge!! Yes I said no additional charge. Take it from me, I do my research and if it doesn't feel right to me, I won't do business. This company deserves 6 stars. I'll post some pictures to follow up soon. They did an exceptional job on our patio! We met Dan and discussed what we wanted regarding service. Not only were they on time and friendly, but he listened to what we wanted and explained every step along the way. We told Dan, we wanted the patio completed before my mom’s birthday that August and he promised he would get it done. His team came in and completed most of the job in ONE DAY! Even though they were booked up, he definitely delivered on his promise. I recommend them for any patio needs you need. They won’t disappoint!

Dr. Dan's designed and created a beautiful landscaping feature at our home in Virginia Beach. I can't say enough good things about the process and the people. The crew went above and beyond to make the process and work timely and super professional. Everyone I met from the crew to the owner were amazing - professional, friendly and timely. This company clearly has a great culture of client centered professionalism. No doubt that when I need anything else for my outdoor space, Dr. Dan's will be the only call I make!

In a word, they were fabulous! The crew was amazing, polite, pleasant to talk to and eager to make sure we were happy with the work done. Weston, the crew leader, did an impressive job making sure that what they did was according to the goals that were set and also sought our input on a few curves that the property presented with. His ideas and solutions exceeded our expectations. He clearly had a bond with his crew and worked right along side them despite several days of brutal heat.

Along the way we ran into problems with the old sprinkler system and areas of drainage around concrete. Dan brought in contractors for solutions to both issues. They did excellent work at a reasonable price to solve the problems.

We chose Dr. Dan's after several consults and estimates for the great deal of work that our yard needed. The drainage design and installation was particularly unique and has been functioning well.

We had such a wonderful experience with Dr. Dan’s Landscaping. Dr. Dan came to our home and we talked about what we wanted. He made some suggestions and measured. He then gave us a very reasonable price. We were told it may take awhile before they could start but got a call much earlier that they could fit us in earlier.
The crew came out nice and early the morning that we scheduled. I was amazed at how quick and efficiently they worked. They did a great job cleaning up before leaving. Best of all, we love our new patio.

The whole team at Dr. Dan's was professional from start to finish. Dena at the office was always pleasant on the phone. Chris, the team and project leader on sight, was great to work with during the initial assessment and planning and was great at communicating while the project was on-going. Dr. Dan himself is a true professional at what he does. He was genuine, down to earth, and set realistic expectations. I could tell immediately after meeting him that he holds himself and his company accountable and to a higher standard, and it's clear why he and his company are a leader in the industry in the Hampton Roads area. The quality of the project itself was beyond our expectations, completed on time, and the extra care and effort put into the project was obvious. I feel the cost for the work we had completed was very reasonable for labor and materials. I look forward to working with Dr. Dan and his team again for all my future projects. I wouldn't even consider hiring anyone else!

Hired these guys for a landscaping project that involved pouring concrete, digging dry wells, and beautifying my former mulch beds into low maintenance zero scape. They kept me informed a long the way and everything went on schedule. Very happy with the results.

Everyone at Dr. Dan’s was extremely professional and responsive. The appointment for the estimate happened within days of my calling and Loraine was wonderful for showing us what we wanted and adding in her expertise to make sure we got what would look best. She also worked with us to change some ideas to make sure we got the perfect patio for our house and our needs and our budget.
Dr. Dan and the crew walked us through exactly what we could expect before our patio work began and the crews were polite, tidy, and worked quickly, but did a wonderful job! We couldn’t be more happy with our experience overall and our new patio! I would definitely recommend to anyone that asks!

I called Dan to fix a drainage issue in my backyard. I was surprised with how quickly they were able to get the work completed. The drainage issue has been resolved and it looks great. I will definitely use this company again for any landscaping issues that may come up.

We had two major projects completed this year by Dr. Dan -
Drainage system with french drains and A new driveway and walkways. We were very pleased with the results from both (although we haven't had heavy rains since installing the drainage system). The new driveway is beautiful. Dr Dan and his crew were very pleasant to work with during both these processes.

We were very pleased with the outstanding service that Weston and his team provided to us during the installation of our four new dry wells and landscaping.

Weston is always so professional and easy to communicate with every time he was on our property. He is courteous and willing to assist us as his customers!

We are also very pleased with the excellent service that Tommy Crist provided to us with the repair of our new air conditioner platform.

He came out to our home the same day and met with us as he explained what he could do to assist us.

He worked very hard to complete our project within two days, which was amazing!

I typically do things myself, however, this project needed a professional and I was not disappointed with the experts I chose. Dr. Dan personally came out to give us a yard drainage solution consultation himself. His team was prompt with scheduling and able to work with us to make the project happen that same week. His price beat out the competition and his work crew was exceptionally pleasant to have on site. They cared about the project, were attentive to our questions, and eager to show us what they did and how it functioned. Originally the finish on the project did not turn out exactly the way we had anticipated, and of course, Dan and his crew took it in stride, redesigning the finish, and had it completed the next day! I cannot thank Dan and his crew enough for their courtesy and hard work. 10/10 highly recommend!
