I have used Dan's Tree Service several times. They have always done a very good job at a fair price. The crew members are courteous, answer all questions, work safely but expeditiously, and clean up completely when they are finished. I would recommend them to anyone.

Dan's Trees removed a very large tree that was close to my house, as well as several smaller trees in my yard which is wooded making removing even the smaller ones a bit tricky. This is a highly professional and dependable business if you're tired of tree services that don't return calls, don't show up, or never produce an estimate after a visit. I don't normally gush, but I'd like to about the service Dan's Trees provided. From the beginning of showing up on time, to working carefully to do their job, to not hurting the many azaleas and mountain laurel that line my driveway as they worked, to cleaning up when they were finished, they far exceeded my expectations. They didn't just clean up the mess they made, they honestly left my yard looking better than when they came. As an example, one of the kind gentlemen even got up on my roof with a blower to clean off a small amount of sawdust that was up there, but also removed some branches that had nothing to do with their work. This is just one instance of many where they went above and beyond. I can't recommend them highly enough.

We recently contracted with Dan to remove 5 trees and branch up several others. From the first contact and appointment ,through the entire process ,I could not be more pleased,The trees were close to the house and required the crane, and they did a masterful job, extremely efficient ,with a thorough clean up. I recommend them highly and will not hesitate to use their services in the future.

We have used Dan's for many years, with great success. We appreciate Dan's approach and care, especially his knowledge of the trees in the area and suggestions that keep us on the straight path to maintaining healthy trees. His crews are also great in their professionalism in arriving on time executing the work and cleaning up our property afterwards. Our experience was positive from start to finish. The owner, Dan Comber, evaluated what was needed and gave us a fair estimate. The work was done earlier than promised and the people who did the work were focused, efficient, and professional. They left our property in better condition than when they arrived. Rhonda Jones, the customer relations manager, was friendly and came out to check the work. I highly recommend Dan’s Tree Service.

I met with Dan about a potentially hazardous tree on my lot. He was prompt to our appointment and took the time to explain to me the type of tree it was, what he looked for in assessing potentially dangerous trees, and assuring me that the tree I expressed concern over was a perfectly healthy tree. Dan then took time to walk my entire lot, explaining the types of trees present and making recommendations as to which trees were ones to keep, which were ones to be concerned with, and why. Dan was extremely knowledgeable and taught me a lot in 30 minutes time too! Dan did not charge me for the time he took with me and the education he provided. Dan could have easily convinced me, as an unknowing person, that the tree in question needed to be removed, allowing him to earn a nice fee. But he didn't. That tells me everything I need to know about Dan's integrity. I will not hesitate to recommend Dan's Tree Service to others and use Dan when I need him in the future. Thank you Dan!

If I could give this company zero stars, I would. The people sent out to do the work on my property left garbage around my house (wrappers and plastic water bottles), and several of them were smoking while sitting on my front porch. I could have perhaps forgiven the lack of professionalism if the work they had done had been any good. The trimming of trees and hedges I requested was apparently interpreted as hacking away at everything, with no thought whatsoever to the aesthetic of the property. They started the process of cutting down a tree I did not want cut down, and fortunately I saw this happening and ran out to stop them. It looks terrible and they destroyed a beautiful canopied walkway in the process. I am so disappointed by this company, and truly upset at the loss of greenery around my house. I did not hear back for five days after expressing my concerns, and when I finally did, I was not given even a hint of an apology. Dan was rude and dismissive, leaving me feeling like the terrible job done was somehow my fault.

Do not hire this company if you care at all about how your landscaping looks, they’ll just come at it with a chainsaw.

Dan was friendly and knowledgeable when he came out to my house to discuss what needed doing. We decided to remove eight trees and grind their stumps and prune five trees—a big job that involved the crane. His crew was hard-working and efficient and cleaned up as they went along. The work was very professionally done. I was one-hundred percent satisfied with the results and the fee.

I guess it’s always my goal to get into a keyboard battle with a tree trimming service. The review by Eckman is accurate. While Jennifer did let me know they were not going to make it…it was same day, around 2 pm. There was minimal communication following the missed appointment and there was no communication as stated for the stump grinding and mulch removal. Last communication was 4 April.

I was very appreciative over text communication with the team, I guess I wanted my tree removed. Furthermore, arguing with you and being rude wouldn’t reflect my character. I am sure things get busy, but your team stated on 4 April the stump would be removed in 7-10 days while the last of the work wasn’t finished up till 1 May.

I had no intention of leaving a review. Nor would I have gotten involved with this except you decided to respond to Ms. Eckman with inaccuracies and argumentative statements rather than just moving on.

I am not saying yall suck, but I’ll use someone else next time. Payment is on the way! Please let me know if you don’t get it. That would require communication. Something you haven’t done since 4 April.

Dan’s Tree Service did an excellent job removing a very large tree close to our fence. They were very professional, each crew member had their job and did it well. The men were polite. They cleaned up after the removal of the tree, you would not know that the were there. Dan came out to estimate the job, very nice man. Highly recommended.

Dan's Tree Service met or exceeded all of our expectations. They performed the work for the original estimate, were very friendly and professional, started work a couple of days early, removed three difficult river birches from our small back yard in a day, and did not cause any damage to our home or yard. We would not hesitate to use them again and would certainly recommend them to anyone interested in using a tree service.

Dan's crew did a great job taking down trees and cutting some limbs. They left the yard looking better than before. His crew chief was easy to talk to and let us make some changes on the fly. And the cost was reasonable.

Dan’s Tree Service did a wonderful job at trimming a number of trees on our property. The guys were professional and cleaned up all the debris before they left. Additionally, when we booked them, one of our trees needed to be dormant before being pruned and shaped, so the quoted price was still valid six months later when they returned to finish the job. I will recommend and use them again for future services.

We started out with Dan coming and taking a tour of our yard, checking out each tree (and identifying them, since we did not know what all of them were), and then he recommended which trees to leave, to cut, or to trim up. The team that came to cut down 4 trees and trim up some others was fantastic. They were here on a timely fashion, very concerned about safety, and worked very well together. They were amazing to watch as they climbed trees and we were mesmerized watching them work the crane and all of the other equipment involved in the project. The crew was very conscious of everything in our yard and cleaned it up better than when they got there.
We just cannot speak highly enough of everyone on the tree crew, in the office, and Dan himself in accomplishing this project.
We now have a nicely opened up yard and house and have gotten rid of a tree who's roots were endangering our foundation. And at a reasonable price. Anyone who needs knowledgeable tree advice and work will be satisfied with Dan and his team.

Dan’s tree service was the best money I’ve spent this year with my new house. The team showed up on time, had a safety meeting and went straight to work. They removed two large silver maples in less than 4 hours and left my yard in better shape than before. I Highly recommend using this company.

Highly recommend Dan's Tree services. We had Dan come over to give us a quote on removing a number of large trees very close to my house and on a hillside. He was very informative and gave us a very reasonable price that was much better than our 1st estimate. They showed up exactly when they said they would and finished the job that same day. I don't even think his guys took a break all day. There's no doubt they worked very efficiently and did a great job. After they had finished the yard was left in good shape and we were very impressed with the whole thing. They even removed a smaller tree we were going to remove ourselves for no charge. Overall Dan and his crew were very professional and great to work with.

We were really pleased with the efficacy of Dan's Tree Service. We also appreciated that when they first came out to give the estimate, they were honest that it would take a few weeks to get an appointment. Their scheduler worked with us to set a date so we were able to plan around it. They showed up when they said they would, did a beautiful job of trimming and removal for the specified trees, and then cleaned everything up, not leaving branches and debris everywhere. The price was steep but not unexpected. Totally worth it, plus it was great watching them work! I would use them again and recommend them to others.

I had a great experience using Dan's Tree Service. Everyone I spoke with and dealt with was professional and efficient from the estimate to the tree work. It was obvious they knew what they were doing both when felling tall trees and trimming up branches on trees and bushes. They cleaned up beautifully, I would highly recommend them.

Probably the two most important traits customers look for in contractors working on their homes are honesty and skill level. I asked Dan to give me an assessment of tree roots and potential foundation damage. I have two large maple trees near my home. After assessing tree spreads and other characteristics, Dan said I didn't have a problem and not to worry about it. He could have said I needed to remove the trees. It was a great relief. We love these trees. Dan was tremendous and we will call upon him in the future for any tree work we need done.

This company deserves more than five stars. The company as a whole are phenomenal from setting up appointments, answering all of my questions, to the crew that comes out and takes care of the trees, all of them are professional. I hired Dan's tree service to remove four trees two of them were 90 foot pines, one large magnolia tree and a cherry tree they got to my house a little bit for 8:00 and we're gone by lunch time. I got estimates from a couple different companies by decided on Dan's tree service based off the price, communication and time line.

Do not recommend. Communication with this company is seriously lacking. The service got done, but it took two and a half months to have a crepe myrtle removed, stump grinder, and mulch remove. Service was ordered back in February, they just finished 2 days ago. First time they showed up was a month and a half AFTER the job was ordered. Finally got a response on the day they were coming to start. I took the day off of work to be present, and no one showed up. No call, no explanation. Lost a day of wages. And no communication on the next 2 times they showed up to finish the job. So, it got done but not in a timely manner and no communication on the reasoning why it took so long. So, if you have a landscape project needing to get done but no care on when, this is the company. They'll show up whenever and not call.
