Mr Sheldon Green of 58 Foundations located and corrected the issue with our new Sump Pump in record time. Mr Green was professional, courteous and very knowledgeable. In fact, he took the time to not only respond to each of our questions but explain why the Sump Pump was not working properly and what he did to rectify the issue.

*Note: This Sump Pump was installed by another 58 Foundations crew member just 3 weeks ago and has been dysfunctional with alarm sounding off 2-3 times per day since that time. We are happy that the problem has been solved finally.

58 Foundations & Waterproofing installed a French drain in our basement and a sump pump. They were very professional and completed the job in a timely fashion. We have not had any water leaks in our basement since then... and there has been a lot of rain in our area over the last year!

I want to give a special shout out to Sheldon who came back to our home a year later to check on the pump and make sure everything was okay. He noticed that the pump had water rings high up near the top meaning that the pump had gotten very full of water and the pump hadn't turned on to take the water out. He realized the problem was that our electric sticker that the pump plug was plugged into was not working at all! There was no electricity! Yikes! I didn't know when our outlet shorted out, but I'm so grateful we had Sheldon come out and catch this. He plugged the pump plug into another working outlet with his extension cord and everything worked fine. He tested the pump four times, filled it up with water and the pump worked perfectly each time. So the problem was 100% our outlet which we will get fixed. He cleaned the bowl with a nice smelling disinfectant too. On top of all of this, he took the time to explain to me in detail what a dump pump does, how ground water travels, how the water floor rises, where the French drain catches the water, etc. I felt extremely informed! Very smart guy who can explain things very well. That's what I needed. Sheldon was also very respectful to take his shoes off to keep our white carpet clean and he was very nice to my dog! Thanks Sheldon from the DMV service area!

Sheldon Green from 58 Foundations serviced our sump pump and fixed a long standing issue. While he was here he also educated us on how our dehumidifier works and how to keep it functioning at optimal levels. This was the second time Sheldon has resolved serious issues for us. He is quick, professional, and polite, and always leaves the area looking better than when he got there.

My experience with ‘58 Foundations was excellent from start to finish. I would recommend them for any foundation repair/waterproofing service due to the quality of the work, excellent customer service, and highly competitive pricing.
In particular, Rick met with me very soon after I called for a quote and gave me the formal quote the same day. The work they suggested was tailored to my situation without unnecessary bells and whistles and came in thousands under other quotes I received. When I told them that I needed time to get other work done, they respected that and didn’t harass me with emails/texts/calls like other contractors have, but still responded immediately when I was ready to get going. Allison was great about explaining the permitting process and when I could expect the work to begin. Simon did an excellent job on the construction of the sump pump, and Steve has truly gone above and beyond in making sure I am happy with the final result. I now have a basement that is dry and comfortable, with the security that it has been waterproofed correctly and I still have people I can reach out to with questions. (Unlike other contractors, they don’t stop answering your calls after you submit payment.) I would absolutely work with them again for any new projects that come up.

Drain channel and sump pump installed in our crawl space in Clemson SC. Isaac and Nas did a phenomenal job. They were professional, courteous and punctual. They encountered problems which they were able to resolve hastily and expertly. They were able to adjust the scope and revise the initial cost estimate accordingly to accommodate on site conditions. If you’re in the market for crawl space work, ask for Isaac and Nas.

The guys were on time and did an exceptional job. The quote process was quick and upfront and have nothing but good things to say about the entire process.

My experience with the Technician, Sheldon Green, was Top Notch. I had a rough start with this experience. This was due to Patrick in service scheduling me at a specific time, but, apparently not itemizing it on the company calendar. After repeated phone calls that day (of which Patrick only returned one call) this delightful technician did arrive 3 hours late (not his fault, rather Patrick’s). He was polite, gentlemanly … and …did an exemplary job. Sheldon Green is a person who takes the time to get the job done right and it definitely shows in his work. We could not be more pleased with Sheldon’s work. Thank you Sheldon Green. (PS: my salesman, Sharif Omar, was also very good, being easy to work with, answered all calls - or returned them quickly, and explained things in a manner I could understand)

Charles Blankeney and his team arrived on time (which is outstanding in itself in thie DC area!), and provided a painless, limited impact experience. Charlie provided an explanation of each phase of the work before and after completion from the trench excavation; the drains, pump, pipe and electrical locations; the completion of the trench; the installation and operation of the sump pump; the barrier material and locations; and, the installation of the concrete. They rapidly set up dust barriers and floor protection prior to jack hammering the basement floor, and ensured that everything was removed and cleaned up upon completion of the work. Would definitely recommend him to a friend.

After several months of communications regarding our satisfaction with the completed crawlspace job, we would like to commend Jennifer on her patience and professionalism.
Her pleasant demeanor made this challenged process tolerable. We were able to receive photos of the completed space and appreciate her prompt delivery. She is such an asset to your organization and you all should be proud to have her on board.

David Krump provided me with a superb free inspection. He took his time to inspect all interior and exterior areas and to specifically review and address my concerns. He provided a wealth of information and I truly saw and felt he had integrity in everything he informed me of - I came out of this inspection with greater clarity and peace of mind concerning my home. In 2022 after 21 years in our home we noticed a small amount of water in one of the basement corners. After seeking estimates from 4 firms, we choose 58 Foundations based on their repair technique, products, professionalism, pricing, warranty, and post-fix support. Now just under 3 years later we are so very glad we choose 58 Foundations. The repair and installation of a second sump pump completely corrected the foundation leak. Their crew worked hard and efficiently. They were courteous and cleaned the area perfectly. This suberb level of service continues with their technician, Sheldon Green, who has performed follow-up inspections of the repair and testing of the sump pump and battery back-up system for the past 2 1/2 years. He has been both thorough and meticulous in these annual check-ups. His courtesy, respect, and patience in explaining every aspect of the system is simply exemplary. 58 Foundations is indeed fortunate to have Mr. Green representing them and we feel fortunate to have them keeping our basement dry!

The work was completed in a quality manner within the time frame quoted. The personnel were friendly, respectful and very professional. They took care in covering all of the items located in the basement and closed off the staircase preventing dust from circulating throughout the house. They cleaned up all the debris and resodded the area that was disturbed for the water discharge. Nicole and Lon were extremely responsive whenever we had questions and answered them immediately...even on Sunday evening. If you have a water issue in your basement I would strongly suggest to give them a call.

I had a fantastic experience with our Technician from 58 Foundations yesterday! Sheldon G. was incredible. When he arrived he quickly examined everything and let me know what the next steps would be. Thankfully there were no issues with our system. He even took the time to raise our dehumidifier a little more and level it so that it would work even better. I highly, highly recommend 58 Foundations!

Jared was very courteous and helpful, explaining the differences between his company and other businesses. It’s SUCH a relief to know that they offer a lifetime warranty for their work!

Everything started off great. Great communication from the staff where they'd make random outreach calls
To give me an heads up on progress and everyone was friendly. However, the work that was done didnt pass inspection because it wasn't done right. And now that I've paid the remaining balance in full, it's hard to reach someone, get an update or have them come back out to fix the problem. It's going in two weeks since they did the work and no resolution. I've even called and texted Kevin and no follow up. Ridiculous.

I wouldn't even consider using this company. The workmanship is criminal. Nothing on my project was done up to any standard nor completed. Just look at the pictures. This job was "complete" according to the installer. This is what encapsulation looks like to BDry. My HVAC condensate drain and humidifier wasn't even connected to the sump again to remove the water. It will be all over the floor of my crawlspace. The discharge line on the new sump pump wasn't even glued and is leaking. The walls are not sealed and they cut the material around my HVAC unit and dehumidifier leaving the dirt exposed. You are a fool if you even call these folks. The PM came out, looked at the work, agreed it was incomplete and wrong and never called back to have the work corrected. These people are criminal, can't imagine how many customers have paid good money thinking the job was done correctly. They need to close the doors to this place. Contacting the county, BBB and BDry corporate.

At one of the worst times in our life, dealing with a flooded home… we feel blessed to have worked with 58 Foundations. Rocky was a lifesaver, working with us, guiding us, and helping us navigate the steps we needed to take. Tiffany was so helpful helping us work out the financing. And the 4 man crew who showed up and had our whole basement fixed in a single afternoon? AMAZING! From start to finish, this company has been kind, understanding, affordable, efficient, and outstanding. Highly recommend!
