We have had Green City service our A/C and Furnace for years. Never have we had an experience where the technician tried to sell us on thousands of dollars of work. He claimed our electrical panel wasn't grounded (it is), he wanted us to blow out our ducts (which had already been done) and was skeptical that Green City actually installed our A/C unit (you did). All other technicians over the years have been great and we felt they were honest; we felt like Ty was trying to take advantage and adding recommendations that weren't needed. It wasn't a great feeling and left us thinking we should have someone else service our unit in the future.

Green city has great customer service. Fast scheduling and prompt service. Ty installed a new floater switch for my heat pump. Couldn’t diagnose a problem with my water heater pilot since it now is working despite going out several times in recent days.

Had Ty from Green City out for our annual maintenance on our furnace and A/C systems today. He was polite, attentive and professional throughout the service. Been very happy with Green City since they installed our systems. Definitely recommend if you're looking for heating and air conditioning. (We used their sister electric company too and it was just as good, if that's what you need instead!)

My old Boiler quit working, and I had no heat when it was 38 degrees out. Green City Heating and Air Conditioning brought over some heaters until the new Boiler was installed. They had the best price and install the new boiler in 1 day.

Our family had a heat pump installed in November of 2023 by Green City. The installation went very well and the technicians were respectful of the house and the rest of the property. Recently we had a service tech from Green City come out for a yearly service maintenance. The technician was very knowledgeable about the system and answered any questions we had. He went above and beyond by explaining how the system works and offered suggestion says how could keep the system running smoothly for many, many years. It was a pleasure working with this company. I highly recommend Green City heating and air conditioning.

Great experience overall for our seasonal mini split maintenance. The tech was very professional, answered all of our questions and gave us many great tips for continued care for our ac/heating units. I appreciate everything he did for us.

Green City is very easy to work with, from connecting with their office, scheduling appts, and getting appt confirms and texts the day before and day of regarding time of arrival. Their technician, Ty, always provides top-notch customer service, explaining any issues to resolve, answering questions, changing filter, and giving good advice on what I can do to keep the system running smoothly.

Green City recently replaced a very old gas burning boiler with a new, efficient boiler to feed the water radiators in our 1906 4-plex. Green City is a family run business. I mostly dealt with the owners. Communication was was very good. They responded to our questions and concerns and gave us a reasonable bid. Jeff did the estimate himself. He responded to my texts and calls and was was always willing answer questions throughout the process. The few times that I called the office about billing and scheduling Kristi answered and was always helpful. Real people who cared about our project. No AI, phone tree, or voice mail.
I appreciated that Green City took care of everything: They handled all permits. They recommended and coordinated with the company who did the asbestos remediation and removal of the old boiler. They did the needed electrical work, the gas line work, and the needed interface with the old system. They were able to schedule us as soon as the permits were obtained. They showed up on the scheduled days and did the work efficiently when they said they would.
They did a clean remake of all the piping and valves in boiler room. They installed a new pump, expansion tank and other operating equipment. They did a few minor valve repairs on the radiators before refilling the system. They filled and tested the system to make sure that all was running correctly. We got occasional updates on the days the were working. It was all straight forward and pretty hands off/stress free for us. I am happy to recommend them.

I had a GREAT experience with the repairmen and the company. They are organized, clean and communicate about what is happening and when. Alex, the repair guy, explained the process and heater/cooler system well so I could understand the different parts. I was actually surprised at how easily the whole set up worked. I would recommend them in a heartbeat.

Green City was the 4th business to bid on replacement of our ductless heat/air system. The bid proposed to us was clear, and included all aspects of what was needed. The bid price was not only the lowest price, but the write-up was the most comprehensive. A couple of additional "plus" points...(1) they are a local business and we want to support our local economy, and (2) everyone we dealt with conducted themselves in a professional, competent, and friendly manner. They also arranged for the permit process appointment too. There are only 5 stars that could be marked...but, if I were able, I'd give them 6 stars.

New gas furnace replacement : informative when came out for the bid which was the best with a quality furnace. timely scheduling as well as installation within the estimated time, even though adjustments were made for the different cabinet size of the new unit. installation techs (Ben & Alex) were polite, and answered all questions. Pleased to do business with a smaller family owned business.

Green City heating responded immediately to a furnace outage, and in the process found wiring that had overheated to the point of leaving burn marks. This could have started a fire. They were thorough, clearly analyzed the problem, gave in depth information on the proposed fix and new furnace, and replaced the furnace and wiring within 48 hours.
Local company, with many years in business, you’re not going to be chatting with a bot here. Individual attention, expert advice and excellent service. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them.

Great experience all around. Easy to schedule the call, incredible communication prior to the service, the technician (Alex D.) arrived on time, was knowledgeable, professional and polite. I LOVED that he didn't try to upsell me on services or products. I will definitely use them in the future.

WARNING. Read before doing business with Green City.

We have had a new furnace and heat pump installed by Green City. The heat pump was installed in June and ran fine until September until we switched over to heat. The heat pump would no longer cool/heat the house and I could only run the gas furnace.

Green City’s tech stated that something went wrong inside the thermostat and was sending mixed signals to the heat pump. The thermostat is brand new but not installed by Green City. They quoted me $800+ to install a new thermostat. I asked the tech if I purchase and install the SAME thermostat myself would the system run…he said ‘absolutely’. It was running when they did the install and it’ll work again. ‘Sometimes something goes wrong inside the thermostat. It is a common problem.’

So thats what I did, easy enough, but it did not work. Not only that now my furnace would not work.

A few days later the tech that did the install came out and spent some time getting the original T9 Honeywell thermostat running. He dug around and found a breaker/fuse had been tripped. He looked into this thermostat a little more and realized it would work BUT not very efficiently and certain settings on the thermostat would not all the heat pump to work effectively and will try to turn on the gas furnace. The tech apologized and said, ‘it was running so I ASSUMED it would be fine.’

The company and tech recommended a different thermostat that would work better with this system. He said it would cost $800+ and 15 minutes to install. WAIT A MINUTE, their ASSUMPTION is now going to cost me another $1000. I have already paid $5K for the Furnace and over $12K for the heat pump! I am very okay with paying for the hardware BUT I ALREADY PAID THEM TO INSTALL THE EQUIPMENT. The manager Justin said there was nothing he could do and that is the price for a thermostat install.

GREEN CITY WILL NOT WARRANTY THEIR SERVICE. If they make a mistake or are wrong about their assumption you will pay for it.

I had these guys out to my house in 2023 to install an A/C unit. While they were here, one of their guys stepped onto my desk to run electrical wire and knocked down my monitor in my home office. They left without telling me, and I didn't even realize until Monday morning when I sat down to work and realized my monitor had a big gash in it. They did get me a new monitor after install, but it was pretty shady to leave without mentioning the damage.

Then today, I had an error code on my system that they installed less than 3 years ago, and they're going to charge me almost $200 just to come out and look at it.

Try to avoid these guys if you can.

Had Green City swap out my old gas water heater for a new one. I had questions about possibly changing to a heat pump system but thru some good education and recommendations, stayed with the conventional tank. They always kept me in the loop on everything, you can even track the technician being stuck traffic. Smooth deinstall and install. So efficient and quiet that they didn't even wake my 2 y/o taking a nap right above the utility closet. Will def tell friends if they ask and will def be calling them for our HVAC later.

We looked into 4 different companies to install our mini split system. Jeff was the only one that took the time and effort to understand our needs, go with us to the Daikin Experience, and make us comfortable with choosing his company.

The installation crew was just as wonderful. Guided us in selecting the right locations for the heads, cleaned up after themselves, and made us comfortable with the installed unit.

We had Green City install a furnace to replace and old one that was failing. The price was the most competitive out of the three companies that we had bid the job, and the installation went smoothly. We are satisfied with our experience.

It was a great experience to work with Green City; they performed the install of my new HVAC system with great expertise. The job was performed on time and on Budget with no change orders. I would definitely use their services again.
