Met Eugene on a recommendation of a mutual friend and have used his excellent service multiple times . He executed a reasonably complex backyard electrical project adding 4 outlets around the yard! He has also done multiple can-light installs for us. He is a good communicator and hard worker, and genuinely a nice guy. I would and have recommended him to my friends and family!

When our lift charging device stopped working, we called YS General Construction. They responded quickly, diagnosed the issue, and repaired it promptly. Later, when our security camera monitor malfunctioned, they again identified the problem and fixed it efficiently.

I had a great experience working with Eugene, he helped me with extensive condo renovations for the kitchen, bathrooms, flooring, and electrical work. I was very impressed with how fast the work was finished and with his thoughtful attention to detail. For any roadblocks that came up, the communication was quick and transparent, and we were able to find solutions quickly. I feel a bit bad about making a lot of different requests/changes along the way, but Eugene was very accommodating and easy to work with.

Very satisfied with the work performed by YS General Construction. We wanted to have a space and connections for laundary upstairs. Eugene and his team helped us realize our vision by building a platform and space for the appliance and a laundary closet, utilizing unused space above the stairs and in the bedroom. He was very communicative throughout the project and coordinated work well across the plumbers and vent specialists, taking care of the permits. Eugene is an expert himself in the electrical work and took care of a separate issue in our bathroom as well. Highly recommend him for electrical and general construction work.

Eugene handled the full electrical rough-in and trim-out for my new construction DADU. He is very passionate about his work and takes real pride in craftsmanship. He never took shortcuts—he took his time with the installation and was never in a rush. He used high-quality materials, ensured everything was fully up to code, and all inspections passed on the first attempt. The lighting design and execution turned out great, and the house is extremely well lit. I would highly recommend his work.

My husband, 4 month old son and I were driving north on highway 9 and one of their company vans pulled right out in front of us causing my husband to have to slam on the breaks. That was completely irresponsible, wreckless and dangerous as a company driver as he almost caused a wreck... not very happy with whichever employee was driving that van.

Dan & Lisa remodeled our office building in Bellevue. They transformed a DECK! Into an amazing office space. They also re-roofed our office building during the process. All for a great price! We wont use anyone else for construction projects moving forward! Thank you so much Astoria for a job well done!

Very professional crew, they did a wonderful job. Highly recommend. Our project was small - electrical fireplace, some drywall work and water heater. However, you can tell by the attention to details, courteous and non disruptive presence and timely completion they care about their job a lot. Would use them again.

Dan and his team facilitated a bathroom, kitchen and laundry room remodel in our condo. Dan was great to work with, very conscientious, thorough, diligent in meeting a timeline, super responsive with communication and questions, and invested in providing a quality product. We would definitely seek him out again in a similar situation in the future and recommend Astoria Construction highly to others.

We hired Astoria Construction to replace several rooms' worth of flooring and to reinstall drywall and paint following some water damage. They were GREAT. Dan is kind, knowledgeable, and easy to work with, and his team got our project done very well and on time. I would and will use them again and recommend them highly.

I hired this company in 2016 for a good sized remodel of an older home. The job entailed raising ceilings, installing engineered beams, new cabinetry, rebuilding and resurfacing a deck, installing stairs on a deck, and a bit more. Things went well at first, and his crew seemed to be competent.

Then things started to go wrong. The first major issue was that Dan the owner like many contractors disappeared and left what turned out to be an inexperienced crew to install a load bearing beam in my kitchen. It was a scary experience as they first tried to lift it, then dropped it about 10 feet onto my floor.

After the first incident, I should have fired him, but I didn't. Next up was a series of very poor work performed by his crew, including installing deck surfacing agents improperly, and by improperly I mean literately against the manufacturers instructions. Amazingly, he just kept making significant mistakes in craftsmanship, and became aggressive asking for more money than agreed.

So one day he picked up and left prior to completion. I would classify this companies approach as hostile, incompetent, and shady. I don't believe that the owner is entirely honest. Fortunately I had hired an attorney who was able to capture this experience with documentation, which I am happy to post including many text messages from the owner Dan Kis.

Amazing results. They helped me finish my shed which is now my home office/ music studio. They also installed crown molding lights in a bedroom. Super fast, and amazing quality.

We hired Beaver Builds to replace some baseboards in our basement apartment. Because of water damage part of the wall needed to be replaced as well. Alex’s team was able to complete both projects the same day and the results are incredible. You can’t tell at all where the work was done on the wall.

My project with Alex is to convert a high-ceiling space into an additional room. The experience with his team is pretty worry free, his team is hard working and we were able to get the project done well ahead of schedule. Alex has always been patient to answer my questions, willing to adapt and rework to meet my expectations, and we build a good mutual understanding during the process. His price for the project is not cheap among the quotes I got, but for the quality of work and experience I would say it is definitely worthy it, I would definitely go with them again in my future projects.
