Reviews of local pros in Kenmore, Washington

Northwest Electric and Solar just completed installation of a solar system with Tesla Powerwall 3 battery system at our home. The whole process has been very easy to navigate with great support from the initial sales process through the planning and installation. The installation crew was amazing. They were very interested in making sure that we were included with each decision that needed to be made and they were happy to listen to input from us. The installers were very respectful of the property and left it clean after each day they were here. Of course a project of this complexity is likely to have minor glitches and the team showed their true strengths in how they responded to those issues. The installation was beautifully done and was fully operational well within the estimated timeframe (including inspections from the city and power company). We would recommend Northwest Electric and Solar without hesitation.

Ian C. Was excellent to have installing our tesla home charger. Great experience overall and will definitely recommend the company and Ian to our neighbors.

I found Northwest Electric and Solar through Tesla’s website as a recommended solar installation provider. I was contacted by Theo Frare Davis, but despite replying to him within minutes, it took 5 days for him to send me a quote.

When I asked for additional services, he would only reply days later each time. This slow response was extremely frustrating, especially since I made it clear I was serious about moving forward. I even told him to please take the matter seriously, but he just laughed. That told me all I needed to know about the kind of business this is.

They installed a Tesla EV charger at my home, and I am very happy with the total experience. The price was very competitive with other local options, and it was easy to schedule the appointment. Ian Crilly was my installation technician, and he was great. Showed up exactly on time, was professional and courteous throughout the project. He kept me informed, and cleaned up everything like new when he was finished. I am happy with Northwest Electric and Solar and would use them again and recommend them to others.

We used NW solar and Electric in 2017 to install our solar panels. At the same time I had them revonfigure our breaker box to free up room for an EV charger.
The electrician did an amazing job. I have had a couple other electricians come to do small jobs like adding a generator. Every time one of the other electricians sees the work, they comment on the beautiful job that was done by NW solar and electric person. Commonly they say that this was certainly not done by the builder.

Great experience from start to finish. Referral from friend. I contacted Northwest Electric and Solar and immediately got a reply. Obtaining a quote and scheduling was a breeze. I had a level 2 EV charger installed in my garage. The overall work done by Shane, the tech, was fast, efficient, and clean. I highly recommend Northwest Electric and Solar. Thank you!

Couldn’t ask for a better experience, super clean installation. Very professional, friendly and knowledgeable. Answered all my questions and will be the first ones I will choose for my next project. I’ll let the pictures speak for themselves.

Very professional. The technician was on time and cleaned everything before he left. I had a level 2 EV charger installed. Very good price compared to what I was quoted in my neighbourhood. I live in black diamond. I would definitely recommend NW electrical and solar.

Our friend referred NW electric and solar to us for installation of our car charger. They did a great job, were reasonably priced, and the electrician was super friendly and professional. Would highly recommend and will use again if we have any further electrical needs!

Excellent experience with purchase and installment of solar panels and battery. Communication was excellent throughout project.

NW solar installed a Tesla charger with 60a, it was professional, and good price. Great communication throughout process.

Northwest Electric and Solar company did a great job with installing a Tesla wall charger in my garage. The entire process (getting a quote, scheduling a date, installing the charger, enabling remote inspection, etc.) was done seamlessly. No wonder they are one of the top service providers recommended on the Tesla site.
On the day of the appointment, David Ramirez from Northwest Electric & Solar arrived ahead of time and completed the job like a thorough professional. He was very knowledgeable and answered all my questions patiently. He did a great job cleaning up after installing the charger and helped complete the remote inspection. David made sure that we tested the charger and everything worked fine before he left my place. I will definitely recommend Northwest Electric & Solar company and David Ramirez for helping meet your sustainable energy goals.

NW Electric & Solar recently installed a Span Panel along with a Powerwall 3 at my home.

While I wouldn’t necessarily say I regret hiring NW Solar, the project didn’t go smoothly and I would currently hesitate to recommend them.

The Span panel provides useful data and the Powerwall has already flawlessly provided backup energy during a grid outage. No issues with either product.

However, my project changed hands at NW Solar numerous times throughout the planning process and it was a consistent struggle to make sure my needs were properly addressed with each handover. There were components to the installation they assured me would be addressed that were just blatantly missed, which they were happy to charge me their standard hourly rate to fix.

Additionally, Puget Sound Energy is currently evaluating disconnect our service since the Powerwall is exporting energy without permission.

I hope these issues will get addressed. If they are, I’ll provide an update.

Did excellent work troubleshooting issues with my original solar array (NW Electric and Solar did not install the original system).

I then purchased a whole-home battery back-up from NW Electric and Solar. The entire process went very smoothly. They provided me with a ton of information and a variety of options to use in setting up the system. The install was done in a very timely manner and any follow-up questions were answered quickly.

NW Elect & Solaris is the Tesla certified installer in WA that Tesla choose to install their solar system. Initially I got the quote online at the Tesla Website. NW E&S written estimate came in very close to Teslas estimate.
They installed 20 solar panels and 2 Tesla power walls in a little over 2 days. They did a great job the workmanship was very professional. The system works great. Would highly recommend them

Cameron did a great job installing the EV Level 2 charger with a whole house surge protector, and pulling the permit. Here are few of my highlights: -

On time. Great communication. Clean install as requested. Cleaned up the area after the area after install.

Team was awesome and helped me from choosing the right array, through installation, and checking up afterwards. They worked with me on a new build to hide all the conduit and placing the inverter in the ideal spot. They also walked me through the app to monitor solar production. Will be working with them again soon to add a battery to the house.

It was such a great experience working with Northwest Electric and Solar.

Communication was fast and friendly thanks to Jacob (Jacob Field), who managed the whole project - I was given prompt updates along the way; parts needed to be ordered, a panel inspection was done for my particular install. There was a last-minute hiccup when a van got a flat tire, and Jacob went above and beyond to share options and ultimately still make the scheduled installation day (which was very, very impressive).

Ari (Ariunkhuu Munkhbat) did an excellent install for the charger, sealing the wall penetration tidily with silicone and running the conduit neatly along the wall. He took care to explain the function of the Neurio device and the features of the Tesla wall connector.

Overall fantastic experience and excellent customer care. Highly recommend these folks!

NW Solar installed my 16.8 kW solar array, 2x Powerwall 3 + whole home gateway & backup, Span.io 48 smart panel and 2x Tesla Universal chargers. They took care of the permitting and commissioning with the power utility. Couldn't be happier with the work.

Northwest was great. From the very start, very professional quick communication about the quote. Sent them photos of the breaker box and area and they got back to me very quickly.

Ari came out on time and got everything set up and installed within an hour. Very happy with the process from start to finish!

I've had a consistently great experience with NWES. They've completed a solar assessment, installed my solar panels and installed the wall charger for my Tesla. David did a great job, he was early, and while he was on-site to install my wall-charger he also did another small peripheral install (ring cam), which was nice because it saved me some time. The communication, ease-of-scheduling, and the genuinely competent and nice people who come to do the work are all reasons why I'll happily hire NWES again and recommend them to my friends.
