Constraction reviews in Redmond, Washington

Definitely hire Emerald City Flooring for your tile project. They quoted the job fairly and our tile floors are beautiful! Excellent job quality and customer service. Dmitry and Dennis were always professional, knowledgeable, personable and enjoyable to work with.

I had the fortune of working with Dmitry and his team on a recent remodel. From get go, the professionalism and attention to detail and the follow through and the documentation and most of all the quality of work put in impressed me from the start. I have had a lot of remodeling done in the past, what impressed me the most about the firm was the exactness, the directness, and the cut to the chase (time is money) which enabled me to make the right decision. A big bonus was the design help with making a decision, and selection of parts - in the past, I had to do all the homework, and when it came to purchasing and coordinating, it was hit and miss, however Dmitry also offered design services which took a huge load of my shoulder, because it also meant that they were confident they could source the product. I cannot recommend them more and I hope to work with them again.

I hired Emerald City Construction to perform a fairly ambitious remodeling project for my house in Kirkland in early 2021. The scope included kitchen, bathroom, laundry room, stairs and an exterior/facade addition among other smaller details. Overall we had a great experience with ECC. Due to some critical material supply issues (which were largely beyond the control of ECC), the overall project extended by a month - still a pretty amazing feat for this market! They communicated well throughout the process, flagging potential risks as soon as they found out.

ECC was particularly good at listening to my needs/wants and proceeding accordingly as opposed to forcing their ideas and approaches (which I had experienced with some other contractors). They were also flexible along the way to accommodate some “side projects” that were not originally in the scope.

There were a couple of small implementation issues (most likely misunderstandings by subcontractors). However, ECC owned it themselves and made up for their mistakes without any fuss. They also have a generous 1-year warranty on their labor Customer satisfaction is top of mind for these guys. ECC is run by a family of passionate builders/designers with an extensive network of skilled contractors. I highly recommend ECC for any major remodeling project.

Dmitry with Emerald City Construction is truly one of the best general contractors in the business! I refer all of my clients their way and they have all had wonderful experiences with them. Highly recommend if you are looking for high-end remodel work or construction. 10/10!!

Emerald City Construction ROCKS. They did a whole house remodel for us and we could not be happier. I did a lot of research and interviewed multiple companies before going with Emerald City. From their initial estimate to final completion, their business practices and workmanship were top notch. I would HIGHLY recommend them to anyone who’s looking for a construction company for a new build or remodel/renovation.

We did a complete tear down and rebuild, including some easement upgrades. The result is our dream house, a 3 bedroom-3.25 bath, 3 car garage with shop, with an attached (and true) ADU (mother in law). Emerald City was amazing end to end. They handled everything we wanted them to, humored us on all of our ridiculous requests, and made us feel important and empowered for the entire project.

A great example of their investment in our investment… they brought several refinements to our original plans that elevated the concept. They reconfigured our primary bathroom to make our shower feel even more luxurious, and they brought nice design touches like faux beams and hidden storage to really personalize the space. This was true for everyone they brought on site. There was care in their craftsmanship, from concrete to closets.

We have heard many horror stories about similar projects, but we would not hesitate to do do this again with Victor and Dmitry. We actually miss having them around.

Recently Emerald City Renovation and Construction completed a basement remodel for us. We are completely thrilled with the results. We can’t say enough about this company and all of their employees. They made the process from design through construction so easy. The quality of work and craftsmanship was evident from the first day. We highly recommend Emerald City Renovation and Construction – they are outstanding.

If you've been spending a lot of time looking for a contractor, you can stop searching now because you simply will not find a better group to work with than Emerald City. And if they're booked up for a few months, wait. They're that good. We just completed a massive remodel with Emerald City and we can't say enough good things about the entire team. The project included the kitchen, bathrooms, tile work, flooring, new doors/trim/paint, new gas fireplace, custom mantle - the whole shabang. Taking on a project this size is incredibly difficult and we felt we had a partner in Emerald City, not just a contractor, from start to finish. To Viktor, Alena, Dmitry, and the full team of subs - thank you sincerely for all of your help and hard work. Y'all do business the right way and we look forward to working with you on many future projects.

We worked with this company many times, and are very pleased. Dmitry and his team does a wonderful job delegating the process so that everything runs smoothly. There’s nothing more important than making sure there’s transparency in a builder. Quality is unmatched, and we are very happy to be working with Emerald City Construction

We hired Emerald City Construction for a full home remodel and addition. This consisted of a 750 sq ft addition, kitchen remodel, bathroom addition, flooring and updates throughout the home. Everything from the design process to the project management was simplified and efficient. Alena worked with us on coming up with a innovative and beautiful design through out the home. Initially we were overwhelmed with the amount of choices that needed to be made. However, Alena quickly got to work and simplified the process for us. We were absolutely thrilled with her designs. Furthermore, the project management was seamless. We were updated every step of the way and anytime time something unexpected came up Dmitry and his team presented a solution that was both efficient and effective. The craftsmanship was immaculate. They take pride in there work and truly have the highest standards of quality. Overall, Dmitry and his father run a outstanding crew. And we are fully confident in recommending Emerald City to all of our friends and family.

Emerald City Construction completed a fairly extensive whole house remodel for us in late 2019 - kitchen, bathrooms, structural etc. and we were very happy with the results. I highly recommend working with Dmitry and Emerald City Construction - he was friendly and very responsive, communicative and invested in making sure we got what we wanted. I never had trouble getting ahold of him and he always made time to answer my questions - he was honest and straightforward about project complications and had good suggestions and recommendations but deferred to what we wanted. The project was estimated to take about 3 months and took 4.5 (which in major construction terms is great). Even post-project he has been available for questions and little tweaks here and there, a great experience through and through.

Had a very positive experience with Emerald City Construction last year while remodeling our house. They helped with a basement remodel that included a new master bathroom, additional half bath and a fully redone living space. They were very specific on work items, time and maintained a high quality of craftsmanship. Moreover we never felt pushed and they were very accommodating to numerous changes we made along the way. They built the place as if they would live there and that was comforting.

I've worked with Dmitry and Emerald City Construction on numerous projects, and the performance has exceeded my expectations every time. The diligent planning, craftsmanship, client relationship management, and flexibility of Dmitry's team boldens me to recommend them to everyone in need of a contractor/builder in the Seattle Area. Summed up in a few words; Emerald City Construction knows how to do business, build homes, and most importantly, build relationships.

I'm a licensed architect and have had the pleasure of working with Dmitry Lebed and his team at Emerald City Construction on multiple projects dating back to 2018. Over the years, Dmitry has consistently impressed me with his exceptional attention to detail, professionalism, and unwavering commitment to quality.

Throughout our collaborations, Dmitry has demonstrated a deep understanding of the design intent, ensuring that every aspect of the construction aligns perfectly with the project’s vision. His communication skills are outstanding, making the entire process smooth and efficient. He is always responsive to any questions or concerns, addressing them promptly and with great expertise.

One of Dmitry’s key strengths is his ability to anticipate potential challenges and proactively offer solutions, which has been instrumental in keeping our projects on schedule and within budget. His dedication to excellence is evident in the final results, which have consistently exceeded expectations.

I highly recommend Dmitry Lebed and Emerald City Construction to anyone seeking a reliable, skilled, and professional contractor. Working with him has been a pleasure, and I look forward to continuing our successful collaboration on future projects.

Thorough and thoughtful process. Very professional and collaborative group of folks. We are quite pleased with our full first floor remodel including a full kitchen redesign down to the studs. Emerald City helped us end-to-end from CAD designs, vendor/material selection, build out, interior finishes, etc. Our project was originally scoped for 10 weeks, but due to a few supply chain delays it wrapped in 14 weeks. The budget for the entire remodel was set from the beginning so we knew all of the costs from the outset. There was only one change to the budget which added unforeseen costs to the project. Ultimately the remodel went 2.7% over our agreed upon budget. Emerald City was responsive and thorough when we had requests for minor tweaks throughout the projects (style of light switches, paint touch ups, replacing a few backsplash tiles). Overall, working with Emerald City Construction was an entirely positive experience and I would recommend anyone consider them for their remodel project.

Dmitry, Viktor, and the Emerald City Construction team were wonderful to work with on our recent home remodel which included a kitchen, 3 bathrooms, laundry room, full exterior/siding, and front & backyard landscaping. From start to finish they were very professional, knowledgeable, and attentive to our goals & needs. The work was completed on time, was of high quality, and in line with our budget expectations. Emerald City is a family run business - they are honest, trustworthy, and truly value their clients. This was the first remodel project we’ve ever done and went into the process unsure what to expect. We couldn’t have asked for a better partner in Emerald City - they made the whole experience positive and we are extremely happy with the outcome. Now we are enjoying our completely remodeled home!

Well where do I begin... We were looking to do a massive addition to our 1700 Sq Ft Rambler in the East Renton Highlands. This is a project we have wanted to do for many years. Well after COVID the time was right. . We decided on adding more liviving space as well as a new garage turning our little rambler into a 3500 sq ft updated rambler.

After consulting with a architect we began to look for contractors. This was a process that I would not reccommend to anyone! Referrals are the key, however after spinning our wheels somehow we stumbled into Emerald City Contruction.

I first began talking with Dmitry and he was wonderful going thru everything that the architecht layed out as well as all the options we wanted in the house. He was able to give us a full estimate and how the payments would be made before we decided to go ahead.

Once we decided to go with Emerald City Construction the time line was layed out perfectly. It was then that we realized what a great family business this was. Dmitry's father Viktor was obviously the patriarch and master of the business, we then were introduced to Johnny! Oh and Johnny was awesome. We loved Johnny.. He coordinated all the crews and made the project go so smoothly. If there was ever a question or concern he was always available and returned phone calls immediately.

To say the least we had a 9 month project and Emerald city made us feel like part of the family! They are truly a family run business and we were super happy from start to finish.

As far as the finished project well it was top notch. We were able to make adjustements as needed for upgrades and finishes etc. I truly would reccommend Emerald City to any one doing a home project small or large. We have never been so satisfied after hearing of so many horor stories.

These guys are legit and do super quality work as well as excellent service and communication. Dont hesitate to go with Emerald City Construction for your next project.

Super Happy Clients

With 14+ years as an interior designer - serving clients all the way from small scale renovations to full home new builds - I've worked with an assortment of contractors and builders. Dmitry and his team at Emerald City Construction remain a firm place at the top of my list for projects of all sizes. They are professional, pay attention to detail and make the typically overwhelming/stressful process a more relaxed, enjoyable one for clients/designers alike. My only hesitation in posting a five-star review is that they won't be available when I need them :) Highly recommended!

They did everything to perfection. They completely changed our laundry room to exactly how we needed. I would highly recommend to anyone.

We had a fantastic experience working with Emerald City on our custom home. From the beginning, they were focused on understanding our vision and turning it into reality. They were attentive to our ideas and provided thoughtful input, ensuring the design truly reflected what we had in mind.

Their team of professionals was exceptional, bringing both talent and expertise to every aspect of the project. The quality of workmanship was outstanding, and it’s clear they hold themselves to very high standards.

What stood out the most was their collaborative approach to managing our budget. They were transparent, open to discussing options, and helped us make decisions that balanced cost and quality without compromising on what mattered most to us.

They often impressed me by doing what is right versus doing what might be easier.

The result is a home we’re thrilled with, and we’re so grateful to Emerald City for their dedication and hard work. We highly recommend them to anyone looking for a builder who truly cares about their clients and the quality of their work.

Hired them to replace the front door on my condo. They showed up on time, knocked out the job within the time estimate and installed the new door knob I had purchased. Great work, reasonable price, no complaints!
