Be advised, most positive reviews for this company are commercial customers, employees of the company or other close associates. Steer clear if you are a residential customer.

This company appears to be responsive and easy to work with while in the bidding process but, once you’re under contract you’ll struggle to ever get a hold of them. Excuse after excuse after excuse. Finally fired him and saw more progress in one month from our new contractor than in 6 months with FlaminCo. Steer clear, they present well in the beginning but then take your money and string you along. Don’t be fooled.

I hired them to build an addition to my home, and experienced months and months of lack of progress, no responses to my calls or texts, and if I did get through to them, they had excuse after excuse which I now no longer believe a single one of. After an entire year, and a sizable down payment, (of which I did not receive the unused portion back) the only thing that they had accomplished towards my addition was abandoned forms for footings and left my yard /home looking as it does in the attached picture. I Would not recommend this company to anyone and question if they have ever finished a project that they started for anyone.

Signed a contract with Flaminco in July 2022 promising a home addition completed by November 2022. The delays and excuses started almost immediately. By April 2023 we only had a foundation and poorly framed walls, much of it with serious issues and not following our architect's plans. Then we had an electrical fire in late April that likely would have burned our house down had we not been at home and quick to catch it. The Benton PUD traced the issue to damage to our buried power line caused by the foundation excavations. Construction should never have proceeded over a direct bury power line. It needed to have been moved and put in conduit. We immediately terminated our contract and requested a refund of down payment funds less the value of work done, but Flaminco has gone silent. Certified letter to mailing address was returned to sender. We felt kind of stupid picking a bad contractor despite doing due diligence, but since signing our contract we've discovered we're not alone. Other homeowners have surfaced with very similar stories to ours - some in worse situations. Suffice it to say, I would not recommended at all.

I almost got hit by one of their trucks on Columbia center blvd! This guy was driving so crazy was tailing everyone and kept swerving into my lane and when I backed off he cut me off. Idk if he was drunk or what but it was scary!

Cliff and the crew at CTC have an excellent reputation for quality and timely work. The reputation is well earned, highly recommend.

CTC did a great job with a recent roof repair at my home. Job was done quickly and jobsite was completely clean, once the work was done.

The project at my home was done with great care. The timeline was followed and every step was explained. Everyone that I was in contact with treated me well. Professional team!

Mom had a flood in her basement... CTC construction came to the rescue. Cliff and his team did a fantastic job and delighted one tough customer, my mom. Thank you for helping my mom and doing a great job on the repair and remodel. The basement is now mom's favorite room in the house.

Good local construction company. They do good work, both commercial and residential, and I'd recommend them to just about anyone.

The entire CTC team is a pleasure to work with and their work stands out because of their genuine care for the customer and craftsmanship put into the projects they work on. Would recommend them any day!

Had them over for a walkthrough to receive an estimate for a renovation. Wastold I would receive a detailed estimate via email in 1-2 weeks. It's been 6 weeks and I have received nothing. I haven't contacted them with regards to this issue because I'm not going to beg a company to take money. On to the next one. They got 1 star for the fast walkthrough appointment and another for the friendly contractor who provided the walkthrough. Was a fun hour wasted by all

CTC came in and did a small-medium size remodel in my rental. They didn’t play the change order game and they stayed within budget. They will be my go to contractor now, wish I would have figured this out a little sooner.

I called to try to get an estimate as my husband and I are looking to build a house. I told the woman that we were looking to build as inexpensive as possible, but still have quality. She responded to me that they were not for me as they only do high quality, as though I was a poor church mouse and not worth her time!!

I had a problem with the clear coat finish peeling on the exposed beams at my residence. I called CTC for help. Not only did they refinish the beams in a timely manner, they went back to the original clear coat manufacturer and asked for an inspection. The manufacturer determined that the wrong product was used originally and that they would cover the cost of the new product at NO charge. On top of that, CTC came up with an affordable solution to protect the top of the beams into the future. That's what I call exceptional service!

A very nice representative of the company came to our house and discussed what work we needed to have done and a contract was written up with a set price. When the worker came out to do the work it was decided to scale back the work and do a patch job on our roof instead of the work agreed upon by us. Even though we were inside the residents and could have been consulted they took it upon their selves to change what was being done, did not discuss a change in cost or give us any chance to decide if we wanted them to continue with the work. This was basically a bait and switch. Contracting to do set work and then basically a patch job and calling it good. When I contacted the front office they tried to make it sound like they were just trying to save us money even though they never brought up a reduction of charges until we refused to pay the full amount. I would not recommend this company to anyone. We are not able to undo the work that they had done without costing us a great deal more money.

I can't say enough about Cliff Thorn Construction. They came and did some renovations in our home. Not only was their work amazing, but they CLEANED UP after themselves and all the gentlemen that came in and out with the different aspects of the job were so nice and respectful. I will only use them for any future reconstruction or construction. Thanks Cliff for your helpfulness and for your team.

If we could give them a rating of 6 stars we would! Over the past 5 years we have had Cliff Thorn Const. do 3 major remodels in our home, our living room, kitchen and laundry/bathroom. Every job was done perfectly! They were timely in the work and did an excellent job with minimal inconvenience to us. The living room was our first project. After about 3 years we noticed our carpet had some bumps in it. We called Cliff and they immediately came out to assess the problem determining it needed to be restretched. Within 1 week they had someone come out, at no charge, and restretch the carpet. The gentleman that did the work asked us if we realized how rare that was after that amount of time to have the construction company stand behind their work and not charge us. Thank you Cliff and all of your staff.

If you are looking to do some remodeling and don’t mind constant delays and excuses then this is the company for you. We signed a contract to remodel our kitchen and dining room in August 2021 with the understanding that work would not begin until all the materials were available and ready to be installed. We were given start dates in November and then changed to December due to the cupboards not being ready. Despite my questions about continuing holdups on the cupboards I was assured they would be done on time. Needless to say, they were not and when finally cabinet boxes were put up on February 7 they had been, among other problems, measured wrong and filler pieces were used to cover the gaps. The cabinets had no doors. They were being manufactured by a separate company located in Idaho whereas the cabinets were made locally. After missing several deadlines for the doors to be available, and problems with the cabinet boxes , CTC decided to start all over with another cabinet company. The original company, Legacy, that I was assured at the beginning was reliable and they had used many times has since gone out of business. Finally, 14 months later in June another company was hired and now in October 2022 they have been installed and our project has completed after 14 long months.
Along the way there were other delays usually lasting a few days or a week for things that could’ve been taken care of right away. No thought was given to the inconvenience to us of living in a dusty disorganized construction project longer than was necessary. Some examples:
The electrical rough in was done and we were told that the drywall could not be done until the electrical inspection. We waited and waited for the electrical inspection and finally the drywall was done without it at which point we were told inspection wasn’t necessary.
Only upper cabinets were to be replaced after removal of dropped ceiling with existing lower cabinets remaining. With dry wall and ceiling done, we asked to have the flooring installed while the cabinets were “delayed”. We were told that it wasn’t possible because cabinets were “never” installed before flooring. After another delay of week or more with they decided it was okay to put in flooring after all.
When the installer showed up to put in the baseboard, they discovered that it had been measured wrong and was short
Due to a large turnover of management and supervisory positions, there is a lack of continuity and communication. We began with a project manager and a project supervisor and by the end those positions had been filled by seven different people. At least one had scant experience in the building trades were given little training or mentoring to succeed. And with each new person promises were made that they would get things moving. And as if it were a consolation, we were told we weren’t the only people having problems and more than one person changed jobs in the company or quit from the stress of dealing with angry customers. Subcontractors we’re not given much oversight. Rarely did anyone show up to make sure that the job was being done to our satisfaction, but at least they did show up if there was a complaint. It would seem that CTC takes on more projects than they can handle and overload their managers and supervisors. Many times was told by a supervisor that they couldn’t come by because they had 7 or 8 other jobs needing attention.

Have done lots of work recently with CTC Construction and have nothing but good things to say about the company and the whole crew! They are very professional, they communicate well, and always get the job done the way it should! Thank you CTC!

I met Walt recently, at an impromptu stop for re-fueling. He was kind and greeted me very well. It was a very nice gesture and I just want to thank him for that. If everyone at the company is like that, I will be very happy to establish work with them.
