Axiom designed and built a DADU for us, and did an excellent job. They were super at every step from concept to final punchlist.

We are on our third project with Axion which says a lot. Their communication skills, top notch craftspeople and unparalleled design aesthetic keep us coming back. I highly recommend them for all your home design and building needs.

Lack of knowledge from the pm staff causes delay and an added cost to an already untamed budget due to lack of experience. What we have here is great sales staff they should sell cars keep picking those pockets axiom hope you get that super client you dream of if you want examples ask about the etezadi project probably misspelled Get informed before you are full of regret. One major concern was the lack of security no background checks on employees fact axiom has hired felons. There is no drug enforcement I have seen it outside customer houses and inside. subcontractors and axiom staff and I’m talking at work not off duty Seattle must have lots of money to throw away or the sales pitch is lethal oh well you’ve been warned do what you do. Hope that’s specific enough for you max. Special update July ***********************************22 2020 due to unforeseen conditions the budget could increase by 30% give or take this is in your contract make sure it gets removed before signing paperwork or start of the project I’m only here to help

We approached Axiom with the idea of renovating our kitchen and refinishing our floors in a hurry - as we were planning to go to market in three months. In Seattle, this is nigh impossible. Axiom agreed to do it and began planning immediately. As it turned out, we sold the house before we could start, but great credit is due to Max and the entire Axiom team; they listened to us and found a solution to our problem. I don’t know if any other Seattle firm could (or would) have committed to such a project.

We worked with Axiom to renovate our 1928 Ballard home. John and his team worked with us at our pace, helped us bottom out on a design that fit in our budget and checked and guided us through the construction process like true professionals. We love our home and enjoyed the experience with Axiom.

We first met the owners in 2010 when we started to think about remodeling our 1906 Seattle home. We had some starts and stops and finally got the ball rolling in 2014. Once we met the Cashman's in 2010 we knew we would be working with them whenever we were actually able to start! When thinking about how to write this review I wondered if I should just write the nuts and bolts of why Axiom is a great company but I think when choosing a company to really be a part of your life there are other things equally important to consider. Odds are you'll find a company that does good work, is on time and on budget but then again there are those out that can take your experience to a whole other level. We found that with Axiom and here are the reasons why. We chose Axiom because we personally clicked with them the best. We had also seen some of their work in our area over the years and liked what they had built. We figured we needed to click with the people who were going to intimately involved in our lives, our home and our family for quite some time because when you undertake a huge project the people you hire will be deep inside your life. They will know your finances, your lifestyle, your hopes and wishes. They will see you when you are mad and stressed. They will see how you work with your spouse during this process. They will see how you deal with the ups and downs. It was important to us to work with people we felt comfortable with basically baring our souls. Their work is SOLID, well done, top of the line,and of high quality. Their staff, from their construction crew to their office staff, is high skilled and helpful. They have always been there to answer my ridiculous questions and requests. We valued the quality of work and craftsmanship of their carpenters and sub-contractors. We will pick them again and again to do work on our house!

I don't write a ton of reviews, but had an experience that was kind of magical with Axiom and wanted to share. They (especially Max) went above and beyond for me and I couldn't be happier with how things turned out on all levels, so wanted to share.

My wife and I moved into a house a year ago and had some grand plans for a few updates, but, with the cost of the home sale, we had to get creative with our budget. We also have a toddler and were not interested in having projects sit idle for weeks on end. We kind of needed to get it done fast and done right on the first go.

After shopping around for what seemed like forever, we found a great guide, adviser and advocate in Max Anderson. He not only went out of his way and got creative on what would solve our needs, but he also helped us get the 3 projects done in a shorter time frame than quoted, which, after talking with friends, hear NEVER happens. I wasn't expecting the kind of over the top service which I received and can't thank the Axiom crew enough for making our house a home that we're crazy proud of.

It's strange to say, but I'm actually looking forward to my next house project because everything turned out so well.

I have had the opportunity to be able to work with John Cashman for many years. I recently asked him to advise me on a "out of town" project. Due to distance of the job site, I was not able to have Axiom do the actual building, but they were able to consult on design and have been very generous with their time and providing helpful tips. I do a lot of real estate projects and Axiom is by far the best design build firm. Consider yourself lucky if you get a chance to work with the Axiom team. I highly recommend them!

We have worked with Axiom twice. In 2008 they added a second level to our one bedroom bungalow, and we had such a great experience with Axiom on that big job we chose them to handle our kitchen remodel in 2018.

During both jobs, Axiom gave us several beautiful and efficient design options, and were very responsive to changes we wanted.

During the build portion, everyone from the foreman to the project manager to the carpenters were friendly and fun to be around. We lived in our house during the kitchen remodel, and the crew was careful about keeping the dust and debris down, and cleaning at the end of each day.

Axiom had the experience to navigate some unexpected problems that come with hundred year old houses, and despite extra work that had to be done, both jobs were done reasonably within the time frame given. We wouldn't hesitate to use them again if the opportunity arose!

I was shocked by how aggressively Eric tried to upsell me on services I didn’t ask for. He showed up with a “ problem “ no one else noticed and insisted it was urgent. I ended up getting a second and third opinion - both said there was absolutely nothing wrong. Feels like a classic scare tactic.

My wife and I have had the very good fortune to use Axiom three times in the past three years. First to address issues in our new house, second to tackle a major structural issue and lastly to remodel our kitchen, bathrooms and address electrical and painting issues. We know, appreciate and respect Axiom.
The work was high caliber, timely and met our expectations. The leaders analyzed their staff and subs work. On the few occasions there were issues they noticed and corrected.
Of high importance, the Staff were excellent! Our budgeted target was well thought out by our project manager and cost savings occurred frequently. Additionally, we added considerable and still came in very close to target.

We first worked with John Cashman years ago when he was just starting out as an architect. He helped us design a cabin in the Alaska woods. It was perfect--simple but unique and just what we wanted. Fast forward many years and we find ourselves buying a small, outdated ranch in our favorite neighborhood in Anchorage, Alaska. We knew the house was too small for our soon-to-be family of 5 but we knew we could trust John to design us a house that would work for us and would fit in with the neighborhood. John listened to what we wanted, considered our needs (and budget!) and gave us a great design. He then worked with our local contractor and structural engineer through permitting and construction. And Heather was super in getting the kitchen designed. We went through a few differnt layouts until we found the one that was perfect. She was also great helping me pick out all the finishing details. It can be really overwhelming but with the folks from Axiom by your side, it's a lot less so! I highly recommend them!
