Very cheap east to find nd get all sorts of stuff we got chickens from here and dog treats for our dogs

I spent nearly 70 dollars on 8 rosy barbs and after I got them home I got them into the perfect setup quarantine tank with perfect water quality filtration and with quarantine antibiotics and a few days later they just started dropping like flies and all of their fins falling off as well as their stomachs just rupturing. No matter what I did they died even after checking everything like eight times and doing consistent water changes with antibiotics and checking on them multiple times a day.

The fish department is a delight. Eric and Rinata are great. They are friendly and knowledgeable and always helpful. It's been a pleasure dealing with them all these years.

Great store for all your gardening and lawn care needs- everything from seeds to trees and everything you need to start and grow them successfully. They also have a pet store with a large variety of animals, reptiles and fish as well as a large variety of pet foods and supplies. A perfect one stop shop!

My main gripe is in regards to their house plants in the greenhouse. My friend and I were interested in a few plants, but then noticed right next to them they had several plants marked down on price because they were labeled as having mealy bugs and spider mites. The new price and even the type of bug pest was written on the plant container, so they are fully aware they have these pests and yet they're storing them in the same close quarters greenhouse as the rest of their healthy stock? Just take the loss and toss the infested plants! Those pests are spreading to all your other healthy plants, and a customer could unknowingly bring them home and harm all their other plants! 👎

I rarely get to that part of town but a detour and a well placed sign brought me stopping in. Found a cute light up yard decoration for Mother's day. Had to stop in to see the animals and fish while there, cuz who wouldn't? Cutest, fluffiest bunnies, I wanted one so bad but I read the sign and talked myself back into reality, no bunny YET. They even had Dory and Nemo together!

I love the large selection of seeds and they have almost every soil amendment I need.
I purchased so many plants this year and was sad to find out that the plants needing cold stratification, weren’t. My foxgloves and lupine are healthy and beautiful but I will have to wait another year for blooms, a bummer but at least the plants are healthy. I always plant artichoke for pollinators and unfortunately those also weren’t cold stratified and they aren’t hardy for our growing zone so I paid $11 each for big green thistles with no fruit or blooms that will die at the end of the season. -
We go here a lot for fresh cat nip. The only place in Spokane that has it from a local farm. We usually have to see the animals when we get cat nip. Have taken my youngest child here on a one on one day once and she had a blast seeing the animals and fish :)

My go to aquatics store. Never bought a fish there that died. Staff is all very friendly and knowledgeable. I've worked up to 3 tanks all sourced from NWS&Pet

Found most all the plants i wanted already growing and the others I found seeds...they have sooo many seeds super cool
-
Really crappy to see first hand how the rats/mice are treated. Grabbing them by their tail (which is extremely dangerous and harmful to them) just to sell it as live bait then watching the others curl up together in fear. Inhumane and absolutely disgusting.
-
I have regularly found staff to be unfriendly. Today when I asked to use the restroom the young man was exceptionally polite......however when i made a comment how much more polite he was than previous staff he felt it necessary to point out a sign with the assumption he was being flirted with......well child my son is about your age and my husband also doesn't appreciate that. Maybe it's unusual for a female to be polite to you..... plants and animals how could you not be happy working there?

Absolutely LOVE this store. I've gotten animal feed, plants I absolutely love!! Healthy fish and an axolotl from them. Can't wait till they get more pigeons in, mine desperately needs a friend or two. ☺️

Love this place I have many animals and I can get everything I need for them at this one store. The greenhouse always has awesome plants that probably make up 80% of the foliage in my house and tanks
-
Love this place, always supplies the feeders for my almost 20 reptiles and amphibians. Supplement my garden growth with nutrients and information. These people sure hire educated people to handle their animals.
UPDATE: we have made friends with the pet department manager and work with them on isopods and reptiles, love the people and the consistency, thank you for being awesome nw seed. -
Love love this place! Have since I was a kid! We had our own pet store at our home when I was growing up so my parents were always here! Love seeing ruby! So beautiful and on her good days she will talk! The alligator was a huge staple in my childhood. I don’t think there is a single person who grew up in Spokane or just lived here that didn’t know about the alligator!! He was so cool! And the tortoise is just as awesome. The fish area is super neat too! Just bringing to kids here is so fun for them! I usually get our summer seeds here for our garden as well! So here is some of the sunflowers I purchased from seeds this summer!

My boyfriend and I come here to buy our cat food. We love coming here because they have so many animals to look at while you're picking up the stuff you need and they are very well taken care of. Yesterday when we were in, the lady running the checkout behind the stick bug and leaf bug enclosures showed us a baby leaf bug up close! It was so nice of her to go out of her way to teach us about them and let us look at one up close. She was very knowledgeable as well. I love how well they take care of the animals in their store, always puts a smile on my face. I wish I knew the lady's name who helped us because she deserves so much praise for how dedicated she is to her job and for her love of the creepy crawlies.

I love this store and the friendly, hard working, and very knowledgeable staff.
From fertilizers, to potting soil, to seeds, bulbs, pottery, plants, fish and fowl, this is the place to go in Spokane!
(Even the home-made candy by the check stands is just amazing!)
I was just there today getting food for a large female Mantis I brought in the house to save from freezing outside this week.
They are so helpful and friendly.
I love the giant Red Macaw, the huge stick bugs, the amazing giant tortoise, the hens and roosters, the songbirds and all the other animals in the store.
Just a fun place to shop and visit and well worth the trip from anywhere in the inland Empire.
Thanks,
JD

Cruel and indifferent to the animals they sell. It's an ok place for supplies you can't find elsewhere but actually sickening when you see them grab rats by their TAIL and flick them into boxes. Absolutely disgusting behavior and if you have another option definitely use it.

Great selection of gardening supplies. Really good selection of dirt and fertilizers. Much better than the home-improvement stores. And prices were great as well. Much cheaper than the local grocery stores. Great little store with pretty much everything we need for the garden or your critters.
