The workers who came to do the electrical work in our home were nothing short of wonderful. Quiet, worked hard, work ethic tops out mamy others in the same trade. You simply don't see hard-working people these days. As a part of our whole remodel/renovation project, they appear to have worked well with the construction company we hired, another great company. If you need power, these are your guys. They know what they're doing.

My review of Dimitri's work is long due. I added a dormer bathroom and office to my upstairs bedroom. After an inspection by Dimitri it became clear early on that I needed to replace the Knob and Tube wiring in my entire 100 year old, 3-level house to meet the current electrical code requirements. Dimitri worked long hours to solve the riddle of my dated electrical system and was very dedicated to figuring out which plug lead to which circuit and switch in the electrical panel as a big mess had been created over the years. Dimitri further tried to fix all the outlets for me with minimal impact on all the rooms in the house that were impacted by this huge update. The result is a brand new electrical wiring system in my home that serves me well. Great work!

Had a very positive experience with Dmitriy and his team when they performed all the electrical work on for our new garage. All the work was done well, and what minor issues came up were dealt with quickly and competently. Would definitely recommend for anyone needing any level of electrical work done.

Have worked with Dimetrie on a couple of projects, mostly relatively easy, but one quite difficult re-wiring of a circuit in an older house. Work is always excellent, communications clear and reliable and a pleasure to have him working at our home.

It was a wonderful experience to have chosen Good Contact Electric and specifically with Dmytro Obukh. An appointment was scheduled immediately.
Dmytro found my home even if I texted him the wrong house number.
The Inspector I hired stated that some outlets are not grounded so I was anxious to fix this to prevent a fire or an explosion.
I showed Dmytro a photo of a red light which goes on & off behind the wall. He seemed perplexed when I explained that this is the warning light signifying no grounding. He tested the outlet and said it was grounded.
I am embarrassed to have discovered it was the Serta air mattress that I'm using temporarily until my bed can be set up. This air mattress quietly inflates the bed to keep it firm which triggers the red light!
Dmytro is very professional, knowledgeable and possesses the patience to provide detailed explanations so I could understand the electrical issues. He was able to complete all the work he had to do, in a day and performed, "service with a smile." (1 might have been entertaining.)

I called around to multiple electricians to get quotes and availability for a small GFCI-related project. Every electrician I spoke to told me this should be, at most, a $300–$400 job, including both labor and parts.

I ended up choosing Dmytro because he had the soonest availability and offered one of the better hourly rates at $108/hour plus supplies. That seemed fair, and I wasn’t too worried about the cost of supplies — I had already done my research and knew that GFCI outlets cost around $20–$25, and faceplates are about $1-$10 each.

Before the job, I sent him a very detailed write-up explaining exactly what needed to be done:
-Check 5 specific locations (exterior, garage, kitchen, bathroom) to ensure GFCI protection was present.
-If not protected, install a GFCI outlet OR a breaker — not both. This was made extremely clear.
-Replace one malfunctioning GFCI outlet in the kitchen.

He was on-site for less than 2 hours, and the work was fairly straightforward — mostly checking and replacing a few outlets. Yet, the final bill came out to $800.

That’s more than double what every other electrician quoted, and far beyond what seems reasonable based on the scope of work and time spent.

I don’t like leaving negative reviews, but I’m sharing this to help others avoid the same experience. Always get a written estimate up front, and be very cautious with vague pricing structures. I regret trusting this one.

Update: Upon receiving the invoice, Dmytro charged for 3 hours of work despite being there for less than 2 hours. It also appears he did additional work that was potentially unnecessary/not asked for. He states that, “The $108 is the hourly rate for 1 man-hour, 2 employees were working 1 1/2 hours that is 3 man-hours.” Firstly, this was NEVER communicated any of the THREE times we discussed hourly rates. Secondly, I have used multiple electrician companies who have more than one technician come out, and not once have I ever been charged per technician. This is not standard practice and effectively doubled the labor cost without warning.

They did an excellent job. Listen to what we wanted and delivered it fast at a price that made sense. The quality of finishing was great.

We had a faulty wire issue, which resulted in a small fire and magic smoke. We had to cut the power off of our house. They came to our house in 30 minutes to do an inspection and fix the issue there, and this happened late at night. So very appreciative of their work and how it professionally done the wiring was fixed.

I was building my family home for most of 2023 in Bellevue, WA and it was an absolute joy to work with Dmitry for my electricity needs. Although the house was built by a GC, I am a very hands-on owner so I had the opportunity to work with Dmitry and it was really helpful to be able to work with him closely so we could tweak the plan as needed. Dmitry is a consummate pro and knows his craft well. Case in point, out of all the inspections that I did (including plumbing and HVAC), Dmitry was the only one who passed the rough-in inspections without a single correction. This is quite impressive when you consider that he had to install electricity for a new 4400 sqft home house with heat pumps, electric washer/dryer, multiple car chargers and hundreds of lighting fixtures. But I appreciate Dmitry even more for going above and beyond and helping me on what was possibly one of the most stressful days of construction.

After going back and forth with our pitifully mismanaged local electric provider (Puget Sound Energy) for months, I finally had an appointment to get my electric cables run through a 100ft+ conduit I had buried and it was only a couple of hours before they arrived that we were informed a fish tape should have been run through it or we would have to wait for several more weeks again to get power. Despite this not being his responsibility, Dmitry sprung to action and run around town with me helping me secure all the required materials and personally helped me run the fish tape so we could be ready just moments before the Pugent Sound Energy arrived. Had he not been there to help on that day, I'm not sure I would be typing this review from my new house today.

I needed an update of the electrical panel. Berto was very professional.Before he began he made the suggestion to move the access panel outside the pantry which freed up storage. He explained the project in the bid and the cost was reasonable. He kept me informed and made recommendations that made the job turn out exactly as was discussed.
