Most definitely I recommend A&P Plumbing. Twice I've had major water leaks in my old home, and each time A&P immediately worked me in on an emergency basis. With his permission I mention David Meikle who was sent to help me this week, and like other A&P staff I've dealt with, he was professional and personable and solved my problem quickly. Thank you, A&P Plumbing!

Great service from a professional crew. They answer quickly and arrive on time. This was a small job but I have used them on several occasions and have always been pleased with their work.

Richard from A&P Plumbing was so professional working on some leaking valves in my 1940s home. He was super fast and efficient, getting everything resolved in under 2hrs. A&P was so kind to work me in ASAP due to the water leak in my home. I would highly recommend them!

My first experience with this company was fabulous and top notch! Couldn’t ask for better service. Every experience with them since, has been unsatisfactory. I called once in March to get a quote for the gas line that I was told we would focus on in the spring because they had to tear it out to replace a gas line. I’ve still yet to get a call back about that. Then called again for a shower that wouldn’t drain. They didn’t call me back. When I finally did get a hold of them, they were able to come out the next day which I appreciated. It took 3 hours to diagnose the problem which ran up the bill. I was then told someone from the office would call me the to schedule the repair. I waited a week and a half and after two attempts of calling, I was finally scheduled for the next day. Which I appreciated. Upon completion, the tech explained they knicked something in the pipe (this was noted in the invoice) and the office would call me to schedule them to come back for the repair or it could start leaking. They said it was at no cost to me. Which again, I very much appreciated. Again, the office never called me. They started sending invoices via email. As to which every single invoice that was sent, I emailed back and said “I will pay in full when the job was completed.” No one ever called. Finally, I got tired of, and just paid it even though they had never returned to complete the job they started. Here we are a few months later…. I flushed my toilet yesterday, (same pipe they replaced) and it starts raining on my kitchen island below.
My first experience with them I started to recommend them to everyone I knew. Every experience since then, I would warn you to find someone more consistent, more responsive, and that follow through with what they start. Very disappointing.

They were swift to come help when our pipe fittings failed. They fixed them right and Rocky was great. We’ve used them a few times over the last couple of years and everyone is always so kind and friendly. Clearly they hire those with pleasant demeanors.

We have been using A&P for over 3 years and they are great. Very professional and extremely knowledgeable. The best part is they are honest beyond reproach and don't ever run the price up or try to do anything that is not needed. The office ladies are always kind and understanding. They're the only plumbing company we'll use. Give them a call and you won't be disappointed. Richard, the plumber we've had, has to be one of the best around. He works very hard and gets the job done in a timely manner. Jackson, his helper, was great too. A ⭐⭐⭐ ⭐⭐ outfit for sure!

Easily the best plumbing company in our city. They are in charge of my tankless maintenance and they always charge a fair price. They are timely and have never had to come back and correct anything even though they have done about 4 different things for me over the years. Brandon Hunt is very friendly and professional and I really like working with him and his guys. I’ve never had a bad experience. I plan on continuing with them for my plumbing needs in the future. Several of my friends and family have taken my recommendation from them as well and they also have had good results.

I had several plumbing issues all happen within a few days. I called A&P and they sent out Rocky the same day. He was very polite and professional and resolved my issues all in the same day. Highly recommend!

I had a water leak and it needed addressed pretty quickly. I spoke with Misty and she was able to send Michael to correct the problem. Michael called ahead of time and showed up when promised. I found him to be very professional and knowledgeable and also a kind young man! Many thanks to Misty and Michael for a job well done!

(Update) I was finally able to talk with someone two weeks ago about the reimbursement for lost gas during leak and cost associated with testing of gas line prior to filing during the week of November 17th, 2025. At that time I was told a check was being mailed out to cover those expenses, it is now three weeks later and still no check. (Update) on our experience with A&P Plumbing. During the repair of our water line which I reviewed below, our gas line was severed. I was told that the gas line was repaired. About a month later while getting our heating system prepared for winter I check the gas volume in our 500 gallon tank. It was empty which should not have been the case. The gas company had to test the system for a leak and found that the system had a leak. I contacted A&P Plumbing since the only change had been the severing of the line while doing the water line repair. A&P came can out and found that the leak was in fact where the line was severed and incorrectly repaired. The line was fixed again and gas company had to come back out and test the line before refilling the tank. We have incurred monetary expenses for testing and refilling of the tank. I have asked for help with these expenses and hand delivered the invoices associated over a month ago. After multiple follow calls there has been no response. I have no problem posting a positive review which I did below after the initial line repair. I feel that there has been sufficient time allowed for a response. (Original Post) Our main water line developed a leak where it comes into house. After calling first thing Monday morning, they came out same day and were able to start working on Wednesday. The repair was completed by Thursday afternoon. This was not an easy repair, Richard never lost focus and did a great job. Thank you.

We had a major crack in our water pipe and needed someone asap to avoid the pipe possibly bursting. Called multiple other emergency plumbers that couldn't make it out until next week. David from A&P was there within 20 minutes, diagnosed the issue, and had the leak fixed in no time! He was very knowledgeable and did quality work in a very short amount of time. We will be calling them in the future for any of our plumbing needs and I highly recommend anyone that wants efficient and quality service to do the same.

We had A&P provide plumbing services at our rental home and are extremely pleased them. Scheduling was easy and they were able to get to the house quickly and very reasonably priced. David was fantastic to work with and very humble and understanding about needing to repair my botched “do it yourself job” (sigh of embarrassment). We highly recommend them !

Michael did a great job installing our new hot water heater! He called before he left Charleston to let us know he was on the way, called when the job was complete and called again several days later to make sure the water was hot! Great customer service!

Had A&P here today for the fourth job. This company happily schedules our jobs regardless of the scope. They have done major repairs, such as replacing our main line; to minor repairs, such as reseating a toilet. Today, Michael came to address two leaking shower heads. He called in advance, arrived promptly, and kept us informed as he diagnosed and repaired the issue. A&P is our go-to for all plumbing issues, and Michael is great! Communication is excellent, pricing is discussed up front, and the service is always friendly. We highly recommend this company.

I wish I could give more than five stars – A&P Plumbing absolutely deserves it!
We had a gas leak emergency on Friday, and the gas company had to shut everything off. We survived the weekend huddled around a kerosene heater in below-freezing temperatures, so when we called Monday morning at 7 AM, we were desperately hoping someone could come out that same day.
By 7:30 AM, Michael was at our door! He quickly assessed the situation and got right to work. We have an old home that predates World War II, so some of the lines and valves needed extra care and attention. Michael took the time to thoroughly evaluate our entire house and did an amazing job bringing everything up to code.
The owner, Brandon, even stopped by to check on us and assure us the job would be completed in a timely manner.
