Called David J. Frank to discuss some landscape needs. Talked to a very nice receptionist who took down all my information. She stated she would pass my information along to their sales team and I would receive a call in the next day or two. Over two weeks have gone by and I have not received a call. We have moved on to a different company.

I called for an estimate on some lawn damage that was done by a vehicle driving into my ditch. I was told I needed to pay $150 for the estimate due to being an insurance claim. I asked what about being an insurance claim necessitates a charge like that. I was told they have to take photos and there is a possibility the insurance company could call them to discuss the estimate. I advised I have already taken photos, so no need for that. Regarding the estimate, I would handle discussions with the insurance company. There was no consideration provided to those points. Pay or no estimate. I did not pay.

I called 10 days ago to get an estimate on a retaining wall. I was transferred to someone who handles that part of the business. I left my name and number and was told they would get back to me in a couple of days. Still haven't heard back.

Adam Sturtewagen did an amazing job listening to my needs and created a fabulous landscape design! I had him re-design a few areas of my yard to create a more simple, easy to maintain design. I'm thrilled with the results and his thoughtful process and attention to detail! Andrey did an quick and efficient job and did beautiful work. I plan to have Adam and his team do more work soon.

Very unprofessional and unwilling to work with other contractors. Asked if he could work whilst the other contractor victory outdoor services went to lunch so that they could continue to work once they got back. David J Frank simply said too bad I’m on my lunch break and won’t start for another 20 minutes holding up the entire job. Do not book.

I am writing to express our extreme dissatisfaction with the lawn service we received. After two years with our previous provider, we transitioned to your company, a decision we now regret.

We initially worked with Adam for a year to facilitate this transition. While he was engaged and attentive at first, the quality of service declined significantly once our services began in April. Adam frequently seemed unaware of our lawn schedule and failed to conduct monthly inspections. This lack of oversight meant he was consistently uninformed about the issues we were experiencing with the inconsistency of the lawn crews. We particularly struggled with the inconsistent mowing, as different crews cut the grass differently, leading to an uneven appearance.

We escalated our concerns to Randy, Adam's manager, but unfortunately, the situation did not improve. We brought to their attention that the lawn crew was encroaching on our neighbors' property, which was causing disputes. When we attempted to explain the challenges we faced with this transition, Randy informed my husband that they would no longer be servicing our lawn. This decision was made without adequate notice, leaving us without any lawn service.

Given our experience, we would not recommend your company to anyone. The customer service, from the receptionist to Adam and even the manager Randy, was subpar. We also believe Adam could benefit from diversity and inclusion training, as he appeared very out of touch with our concerns.

I have been working with David J Frank for over 10 years, and they continue to do a great job. From installing a beautiful patio to removing trees to plantings and fall cleanups, their work is excellent.

DJ F has been an integral part of our operations for years. Without them, we would not have won multiple outdoor patio dining awards!

Their teams are professional and responsive and their holiday decorations completely makeover our restaurants into a winter wonderland.
