I've had Jackson Hardware service my furnace and air conditioner for years. I just had them install a brand new central air unit. They did a professional job as always. They were on time, clean and friendly. I highly recommend them.

I HIGHLY recommend this company! My furnace quit at 10:00pm last night and I found Jackson Heating on the internet shortly after that. I called them this morning, Gary (the owner) called me back within 45 minutes and said he could be out in an hour to get started on installing a new furnace (as an aside, my furnace was 30 years old and he had a replacement in stock), roughly an hour later, he and a crew of two were here! They got right to work, did a quality job and didn't try and "up-sell" me on anything.
I called two other HVAC companies as well and the first one I called, I never made it past the secretary before getting frustrated and feeling "small". I called the third company and left a message. Gary called me back and explained things on the phone, told me a price and I "pulled the trigger" not even knowing the price from the third company. I then got a call back from the third company and they were $2.00 apart! I told the third company that Gary was already on his way and that's when the third company started trying to fill me with guilt for going with an opposing company who may be using an inferior product - pretty much berating me! And after hanging up with me, the third company had the audacity to call me back to have ME question why he (Gary) just happen to be available with a one hour notice on a winter day! I understand that rule of thumb but sometimes instincts just take over. I have owned and operated my own small remodeling business in the Grafton area for over 25 years and I have a pretty good "gut instinct" with people and I do not regret my choice.
I apologize that this is so lengthy but finding a company/person that is responsive, polite, and a pleasure to work with is rare in this day & age.

We had a problem with are air conditioner on a Saturday. Tony called and told us what to do so by the time he came he could add freon. Gary installed the new A/C unit on Tuesday and we are very happy with it. I would highly recommend Jackson Hardware Heating & Air Conditioning.

Our AC wasn’t working so we called for a service/repair. The guys came out and said it was low on refrigerant and they could fill it up but it could have a leak. They said they couldn’t check for a leak because they were booked. I didn’t really know what else to do so I had them fill the refrigerant as they suggested.

Next time we went to use the AC it didn’t work so we called back. Gary was quick to respond and came back right away the next morning. Turns out now the refrigerant was too high because it expands in hot weather, so he took some out. Still didn’t have time to address the leak though. I understand that places are busy right now, but I just wish they would’ve been up front about what they had time to do or not do when we scheduled the initial service call.

I do appreciate Gary coming back out and correcting it. We were issued a refund for the extra refrigerant that was taken out. They were on time both times, which is hard to find these days, and Gary was fair and honest when he came out for the adjustment.

Amazing experience with them! Gary and Mike both came out to look at my air conditioner after I received numerous quotes from other companies that were very expensive. Very responsive as I called and they came out within the hour. And I received great service at a very reasonable price. I will be using them for all my furnace and air conditioner needs from now on!

All I needed was a very simple capacitor for my air conditioning unit. He quoted me at $140. Immediately after telling me the price, he made sure I knew this part was non-refundable. It seemed very fishy. Why so adamantly inform me of this. Made me think something was up. I went on Amazon and got the correct part I needed for $17! I also was on hold for at least a half hour before even being able to speak to anyone. Don't think I'll be contacting them for anything in the future.

The 32 year old air conditioner was not working correctly so I called Tony to check it out. After looking it over I was given a repair quote or asked if I would like a quote on a new A/C unit which I decided was the best option. The new unit was installed the next day which was July 4th (I did not request special service on that day but was very thankful they could install it due to the hot & muggy weather). The work was done very professionally, the area was cleaned up and all old equipment and packaging of new equipment was taken away. The new unit is working well and I was given Lennox product warranty information for an extended warranty and a Lennox rebate off my bill. I was very pleased with the service and advice I received. We just had a new hvac system installed. We are so happy with Gary and his crew. He is hands down the most professional, personable hvac company owner. He took the time to make sure that we knew the options and where to spend our money and what to prioritize on our selections. In addition, he walked us through our new system, how to use it and how to register it with both the Lenox company and the state for our rebates. Thank you so much! Such a pleasure!

We decided to be proactive and replace our 31 year old AC and Furnace. Gary and his team arrived on time, and in 6 hours replaced my units with new Lennox equipment. They took the time to explain the process of bleeding the AC lines and why, advised for a furnace filter option that needs to be replaced every 2-3 years instead of monthly, and were professional in every aspect. Leveled off my AC pad and gave tips on how to save energy costs when operating each unit. I would recommend JHHAC for all your AC/Furnace install or service needs.

If you are reading customer comments in search of an A/C professional, you can stop reading and call this company! Gary is the owner and the technician that fixed my 27 year old A/C unit. Considering the age of my equipment I was concerned that I would be in the market for a new system. Gary stopped my home, diagnosed the issue and provided a complete inspection of the equipment! Gary came to fix my air conditioner within hours of my call during the first heat wave of the season. He explained what was wrong and I learned that the service I received from his competitor last year never fixed the problem. I trust Gary. I learned a lesson and will only have Jackson Hardware and Heating & Air Conditioning repair or replace my AC or Furnace. Gary is professional, skilled and honest.

Gary was quick to call back. Came the same day on a non-emergency call. Handled his business. Bill was more than fair. Finished with a detailed description of what was done to fix and maintain my furnace for the entire winter season. With little ones, gave us a humidifier101 class to prevent white dust.

I will share his info with neighbors and friends. Really impressed.

In Wisconsin's AC/HVAC residential industry, you need knowledge, responsiveness, and local inventory to get your home's AC/HVAC systems working efficiently and effectively.

My furnace chose the best time to break down, as my husband was heading out of town on a Sunday. Prior experience tells me that repairmen tend to take advantage of females needing in home service. I dreaded it, but called Jackson Hardware Heating & A/C. I spoke with Tony, who immediately put my fears at ease. He diagnosed the problem over the phone and told me he could not repair the furnace until Monday even if he came out. His honesty saved me a ton of money. He squeezed me into his packed Monday schedule, gave me options of repair or replace, and coordinated my conversations with the installer. Gary and his team arrived the next day as scheduled and we're just as kind and courteous as Tony. The entire company truly cares about it's customers!

This winter I have had 2 issues with my 6 year old York furnace. I consider myself moderately handy and was able to provide Tony with a good deal of information both times. The first time I called was at 10pm on a weekend night. He confirmed it sounded like an inducer motor and advised me to call around for the correct part so I do not get charged for multiple service calls. This saved me time and money. The next time I called, he again walked me through some diagnostic steps to determine that the thermostat was causing the fuse to pop. In this day and age you find less and less people willing to do things like that. He could very easily have set up a service call and made extra money. The way he talked to me both times told me that he cared more about me having heat for my family than him making a buck. Let me tell you when I need to have my systems tuned up or replaced I will be only calling Jackson Hardware Heating & Air Conditioning. I have already told my family and friends that if they need anything this is the first place to call. Thank you so much.

We have used Jackson twice now and have not been disappointed. Replaced an inducer motor a couple winters ago when our furnace went out and replaced our AC unit this summer. Both times they have responded within the same day and got our heat /air conditioning working within 24 hours. I'm so thankful for their help on the hottest and coldest days of the year, especially with little ones at home!

We decided recently to replace the furnace at our condo after about 25 years of service. Contacting Jacobson to get an estimate was extremely effortless; they were direct and no gimmicks. The two young men Mike and Michael who did the work were very professional, neat, courteous and helpful providing answers to our questions about the new furnace. I have recently had them install my home central air. They did a great job making a preliminary stop to see what size and type of AC we needed. Installation was done in less time that predicted and you couldn't tell they we there, left the work areas as good or better than before they arrived. Totally satisfied and would recommend them.
