I wish I could recommend A.L. Landscaping because the workers were diligent and did a semi-complete job, ending on December 10. Come spring, well, there was significant settling, not run-off, in the project (100 feet of retaining wall). After many emails and letters, we finally completed the job ourselves using 25, 40 pound bags of dirt and additional grass seed. NO follow-up or standing behind the work done. I have not and will not recommend this company to others.

We couldn't be happier with our experience with A.L. landscaping. Compared to other landscaper's plans, A.L. had the best design by far and the quality of the workmanship is excellent. The team was very responsive and neat in their work. We are bringing them back in spring for more work. Chuck and Derick are awesome to work with!! Highly, highly recommend!

My entire front yard used to be a prairie garden jungle and I wanted to convert it to a normal grass yard. In addition, I wanted several bushes and trees saved but have the rest taken down. A.L. Landscaping put in a bid that was reasonable compared to other companies and they explained in detail in advance how they would do the job. They got the job done before Memorial Day as they promised and they were able to do the whole thing in just 2 days! The grading and sod job they did was excellent and they provided me with helpful maintenance tips. They even provided me with a little extra mulch for a flower bed. Communication was great with Chuck and his team was professional and diligent. If I ever need landscaping done again I'll be sure to hire A.L. Landscaping!

Aaron and crew finessed a tired old collapsed wall into a solid and beautiful retaining wall. They were timely and professional. Very knowledgeable.

Called them on a Friday at about 3:15PM to do a small job I already got rejected by several landscaping companies...long story short, not only did they respond, the job was done within 3 hours of my initial call, and done well. I don't remember the last time I experienced service that exceeded my expectations. Will gladly use them for future projects.

Aaron has been a huge help with not only landscape maintenance but also with some regrading of troubled areas on our property. We worked with Aaron and his team to install a boulder retaining wall along the side of our property.
The team did great work, and we love the finished product. Communication with Aaron was easy & frequent. He was transparent when it came to scheduling the job and the timeline to finish. His prices were very fair (we received estimates from several other local landscaping companies).
Would definitely use him again for more yard work in the future.

We had a terrific 1st experience. Liked the result so much called Aaron back to do more work. Left 3 messages. Texted a few times. No response. The work was fantastic. But the responsiveness this spring has been awful. Would definitely hire again but they have to respond to the calls.

I was hesitant to work with Heart Rock since there weren't any recent reviews, but I'm so glad I did! Our flower beds needed a refreshing and now we have new landscape paper and mulch and edging. Aaron was wonderful to work with, and he remembered all the little things I asked for, like adding landscape paper and mulch under the deck or replanting irises. I would definitely work with Heart Rock again! (Though I won't need landscaping anytime soon because their work is awesome)

It is hard to write this review. I have reached out several times. I sent photos of the issues recently again. No response. At first I was happy with the walkway. The main problems are the large "stone" steps which are actually cement blocks and the tops are breaking off and are not safe and look horrible. The gate that was made has never really worked and all the paint is coming off. I need the rock steps repaired or replaced. I am removing the gate. The walkway is nice, but I ended up doing the rock landscaping on the sides of it with my own rocks.

Aaron and his crew worked very hard to help us clean up our landscaping after it had gotten out of control. They installed new edging, removed old wood mulch and replaced with stone mulch, transplanted shrubs, removed plants and trees, planted new plants and trees, and fixed our boulder retaining wall. The guys worked very hard and were great to work with. We look forward to working with them again.
