I was at work and due to cold weather, we had a water line break. We called pertzborn plumbing at 10pm they never showed. We called Monona Plumbing at 2am they never showed. We called Ahern and they showed up quickly and had the issue taken care of rapidly as well!
I work at a 3 story hotel and as soon as Ahern's plumber walked in the door, a lobby full of guests applauded him!
Great work guys! You are incredibly appreciated! -

Seen one of their trucks (ladder rack with diamond plate side bed boxes) at 7:50pm 3/11/25 coming off hwy 14 through the round abouts into Oregon on MM driving extremely aggressive. Stupid and dangerous. Management needs to have a sit down with this employee treating their equipment that way.

I wish I could give them a 0 rating. My A/C quit working over the weekend. I called and left a message at 7am Monday morning. I did not receive a call back all day. In the meantime I called someone else to repair it and they had it fixed within 2 hours. I called back to Home Comfort at 3pm and James answered. He said he had not been in the office all day. You would think they would check their messages sometime in the morning. He said how can I help you? I said it was too late i had called someone else and was already fixed. I said I had an A/C problem last year and never got a call back from them then either. Just wondering what happend and didnt get a call back and it was piss poor business practice. And I hung up. James IMMEDIATELY called me back and said "Sir please don't ever call us again!" I replied you will not have to worry about that. Everyone I talked to since was pretty surprised that he would call back and say that.
I do not recommend them to anyone. -
I had done a remodel on my house 7 yrs ago and the current furnace was to small so I contacted James and he spoke with me and they ended up redoing my duct work and getting me set up with a furnace and central air unit has been amazing and last year had him do my new house his is great

Home Comfort of Waunakee installed a completely new AC system in our house 6yrs ago. The install took quite a bit of time, but it appeared they did a good job. They even repaired a drywall ceiling when they broke through it. Unfortunately, our AC system has never worked consistently. Every spring I had to contact James about the system not blowing any cold air. In the beginning, James was fairly helpful to resolve at that point. However, his response time is very poor, to the point where I've had to repeatedly ask for him to get back to me. This is over several years of problems/troubleshooting. Coleman is the manufacturer of our system, and they claim it is INSTALLER error after repeated attempts to fix. James claims it’s a defective product. Either way, neither Coleman nor James at Home Comfort, is willing to help us solve/replace the unit, and fix the problem now. So, after 6 yrs, and spending over $8000 on brand new equipment installed by Home Comfort, we are left with an AC system that never worked correctly. I considered legal action specifically against Coleman only, but learned that it was very unlikely that I would get anywhere. As for James, he chose to cut ties and leave us after that. Zero replies at all, even after we gave in , and agreed to pay James an additional $1600 more for labor to install a new air handler. Obviously, this works out the best for him, as he has no more problems to deal with. However, as his former customer, we are stuck. We are the ones who have paid more than $8000, and never having a working AC system throughout the summer months each year. Choosing Home Comfort Heating in Waunakee is not a bad choice, but I cannot give a recommendation based on my experience, especially with their poor response times and dropping us completely while we still have a broken system. Very disappointed customer.

Home Comfort Heating and Cooling did a tremendous job fixing our A/C unit. I couldn't afford a whole new air conditioner, so HCHC did what it took to get my old A/C unit working well. They could have just told me I needed a new air conditioner, but knowing my budget was tight, they offered a temporary solution that will help me get through the summer. They were very friendly and professional.

Madison Heating And Cooling was excellent. Their technician showed up on time, was polite, and repaired our furnace quickly. He explained everything thoroughly and even gave tips to avoid future issues. Their pricing was fair, and their service was superb. We are a vendor for Ricky Hunt / "Hunt & Collins". This is a hard review to write, but it is an unfortunate necessity.
Our company created and furnished the printing for marketing materials for Ricky in Feb of 2022. The project was approved, designed, and delivered exactly according to a pre-approved quote.
We still have not been paid.
Every time we ask Ricky there is an excuse, but never a payment. You can draw your own conclusions from our experience -- but our takeaway is not favorable. -
I see that Hunt & Collins isn't reputable. They gave our business an NSF check for $435.84 in September 2023- they still haven't paid it-

I coordinated and facilitated a Career Technical Education Career Fair here in Michigan and needed Industry Partners to showcase their business so Middle and High School students could gain awareness of potential careers. Mr. Ricky Hunt of Hunt and Collins, Inc drove in from Wisconsin to ensure that our students received valuable information in the skilled trades industry, He also brought in piping, coils, and other material and equipment so the students experienced a hands on feel of what a day would be like in the HVAC and Construction Industry. Mr. Hunt was very professional. I hope he is able to come back as a vendor for our annual Career Technical Education Career Event for years to come.
