It’s crazy to read all these positive reviews and for me to have such a drawn out, frustrating and negative experience, despite them being positively referred to us by family. Our insurance was on the ball with the claim, approved full siding, but not full roof (only box vents and chimney flashing). A change in sales reps in the beginning forced us to restart the process, and repeated assurances by Advocate that “We’ll work with your insurance company to take care of the roof, don’t worry, this is our thing!” From there it took TWO AND A HALF months to get started on work, with one month receiving NO COMMUNICATION from anyone in the company (the sales guy was away for two weeks, didn’t pass on his work to anyone during that time), requiring me to constantly call the Kansas City office for updates. Work starts finally (after my fourth call, which put me to the scheduling dept) and for my 800 foot house it took 4.5 days, one severed internet cable (which my internet provider fixed, Advocate did pledge to compensate that, once I get a bill) that the construction crew had no idea they did, despite showing them the cable itself, and one damaged screen window (waiting for compensation on that?), and then to top it off they had no idea (or forgot??) that we signed three contracts to do the roof repairs, only for them to back out at the end and say “we don’t do that, we don’t know why we agreed/signed to that.” Of course they said we could try to get my insurance to cover the whole roof, which I asked “weren’t you trying to do that from day one like you said??” To which I got no answer. I got “refunded” for the roof repairs though, after three weeks of calling with no response from my sales guy on the status. I swear I hate writing negative reviews, I think this is my first one ever? I mean, the finished work looks great…The lady I spoke to in Kansas City 4 times was nothing but helpful and sympathetic to my frustrations though.

Randy was amazing to work with. We had quite a few people come up to the door after a hail storm. But they all seemed like storm chasers and just wanted money. Randy seemed like he genuinely wanted to help. The company dealt with everything involving the insurance company. Which honestly was the most confusing part of this so the help there was tremendous. Once the crew came, they replaced our roof within the same day. We couldn't recommend this company enough.

A representative from Advocate Construction came strolling down our driveway after a hailstorm. If I knew then what I know now about this company I would have had the police remove him for trespassing. I’m 72 years old and I have never worked with a more deplorable company.

The shingles were laid way out of scope according to the manufacturer’s specifications; their solution, to have the manufacturer give us a waiver for when this becomes an issue. We will see how this works out.

The first rainstorm after the shingles were laid the rain literally poured into areas of our house. Other areas, especially around the chimney, soaked through our attic and our wood in-laid ceiling in two rooms. This soaking spread as the months wore on. We had an interior wall begin to break apart from being rain soaked…rain eventually led to melting snow.

At first we were told by every representative they sent out there was not a problem with the job. Eventually, after numerous videos and pictures they said they would repair the work. That took approximately six months and a lot of internal damage before they made the roof repairs.

Over a year later they finally repaired the internal damage and while I’ve been steadily cleaning up the fine yellow dust that continues to settle due to our wood ceilings needing to be completely sanded, the repairs seem to be holding.

Next, almost immediately, came their strong-arm tactics to collect the remaining amount due that had gone from $6,200.05 to $8,200.05. without receiving an invoice I received a call from in attorney in another state demanding I pay this immediately. Since I had never received an invoice and had to ask the attorney to lose his attitude (he didn’t) I decided it was potentially a scam call. I contacted advocate construction inquiring with regard to that since I had no invoice. A few days later Matt came strolling down our driveway, invoice in hand wanting $8,200.06.

I had recently contracted COVID, warned him of this yet he wasn’t concerned. He insists the additional $2,000 is our deductible. It appears Advocate (bizarre name considering they are anything but advocates) feels you should pay your deductible to your insurance company and then repay it to them. I wonder about the legality of this and since I am filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau, Wisconsin Department of Labor (to address that none of the roof installers were “tied-off”) and Consumer Protection, and several other agencies perhaps I’ll find out. Irregardless, we have full replacement coverage through our insurance company so $6,200.05 is what they will be receiving. Advocate finally agreed to the $6,200.05 final payment. We are waiting for a paid in full invoice and lien waiver.

I want to also mention the mess the roofers left behind. I spent a month at least cleaning up shingles (some that damaged plants around the house), picking up nails (we have a dog and did not want him stepping on those), staples, beer cans (which I did report to Advocate), wrappers, etc. we also had nine additional bundles of shingles sitting in our driveway for over six months. This made snow clearance and car backing out difficult; nor did we receive any refund for these unused shingles. One of my highest concerns was that at no time did I see any roofer “tied off”. We have a very steep roof in back and if anyone were to fall off that it would probably result in death.

I have videos, pictures, all texts, emails, even a letter from their attorney asking for my patience in getting the inside repairs done as proof of this.

My husband and I struggle to give Advocate Construction even one star approval rating.

I would definitely recommend Advocate Construction. Working with Tony V. made everything go very smoothly from start to finish. They handled everything from communicating with our home insurance to have them inspect our roof to see if a replacement could be covered to making sure we were happy with everything once the project was complete. Their team of roofers were amazing as well - they got our entire roof done in 1 day (our roof is pretty simple, but still very impressive)! We really enjoyed having Tony V. as our go-to guy to reach out to if we had questions. He is very personable and really knows what he’s doing. The finished product looks amazing!

We worked with Tony Valente from Advocate. He helped us to get fully approved for a new roof with no cost to us outside of our deductible. The crew did a good job on the roof and finished in one day. There were some issues with cleanup initially, but Advocate did everything to make it right. Tony, our sales rep, even came back to the house himself and helped with the cleanup. We would highly recommend their service if one of them comes knocking on your door because they truly care about their customer's satisfaction.

Advocate has been incredibly easy to work with. Bending over backwards to help us with our new roof and skylights. While our insurance company was dragging their feet for months, Advocate remained patient. It took our insurance almost 3 months to send us the check they owed us. Advocate replaced our roof and skylights and waited nearly 3 months to get paid. Advocate never asked us to pay them. Which company does that? They understood the insurance company was dragging their feet and didn't take it out on us. We couldn't be more impressed with them.

I highly recommend working with these guys!
My sales rep Drew Rogers and their VIP support desk team answered every question and took care of all of our concerns. They made the process completely seamless.
And most importantly to my wife, the roof was absolutely perfect, top quality.

Advocate Construction damaged our corner siding when they installed our roof November 18, 2023. After their Service tech failed multiple times to match our corner siding. 1st time: Painted and brought out a mismatched style to what we had. 2nd time, 1/28: Service tech did not have the right size - crew showed up but could not install. Feb 5th - service tech who bought wrong corner siding twice already, then gave us other options....mismatched size, mismatched style, OR we could have $500 to find the corner siding ourselves. He recommended that route as in his words "you may have better luck finding that perfect match." We did not accept any of those options. We had a 3rd party quote us for repairs. The project manager finally stepped in. We asked them to replace all of the corner pieces to the same size or style as long as they matched. Advocate agreed to that.
Finally on May 24th the Crew came out to replace all corner siding to match. We were so excited to be done with this company. Went to look at the corner pieces only to find that the crew USED drywall screws to rig the corner pieces on. The corner pieces were also crooked, leaving large gaps and the house open and exposed in other areas. Hair was stuck to one of the corner pieces. One coat of paint applied that was streaky with build-up along the edging. That is how it was replaced. We waited for someone to reach out since this fix did not go well. On 5/28 we reached out to ask if the crew gave feedback on how the repairs went. Production manager "they said it went smoothly and the pics looked good." We then sent our pictures and concerns. After looking at our pictures, manager agreed it was not good work. We were sent a check to have another company do the repairs since they could not get the job done.
We became very concerned about other areas of house and roof. Roof inspection on 7/23 confirmed 2nd story has damages and exposed areas of siding. PLUS roof defects that will need to get repaired. Nail pops everywhere, some are already rusted. Multiple dips/roof sag. Never-ending

Tony was a great help getting a roof replaced and approved with our insurance company. Advocate did a great job replacing a roof and met all our needs. In the end, we did not pay anything outside of their deductible. We highly recommend their services.

I had hail damage to my roof and siding. Samson stopped over and assessed the damage and was able to get me approved for a roof and siding. The whole experience was great. Samson was an absolute pleasure to work with. He is very professional and was very thorough with the process and made himself available to answer my questions when i had them. A very big thanks not only to him but also to the Advocate team!! Thank you guys for a job well done!! I will definitely be referring you to everyone I can!! Ive attached after and before photos.

We are very happy with how our roof and siding turned out! We had everything replaced due to hail damage and the whole Advocate team was great to work with. Our salesperson, Randy, was always very reachable and excellent at guiding us through the process and answering our questions. Since we were changing the entire color scheme of our home from gray/blue to white/black, we added some additional wrapping so everything would look uniform and we're thrilled with the finished product! We'd recommend Advocate in a heartbeat!

Jason is an amazing claims specialist! He is friendly, informative, easy to talk to and always available for questions. Jason handled dealing with our insurance to replace our hail damaged siding. The only thing I had to do was pick out the color of our new siding! The installation team did a great job. I am so happy how my house looks now!! I am continuing to work with Jason for our roof. I am a very happy customer!

We were very happy with the seamless process of roof replacement after a hailstorm damaged our roof. Advocate Construction and our representative Eli Whitney handled everything with the insurance company and explained things throughout the whole process. Eli went above and beyond to get extra paperwork for our mortgage company since they are out of state. They also included our shed in the work, even though the insurance company did not. When there was a discrepancy with the insurance company Advocate honored their agreement with us. I would definitely recommend Advocate Construction to anyone who needs a new roof.

Gabriel came to my house for roofing inspection, worked with the insurance to get it approved, but the claim payment was so little which I ended paying out of pocket and getting a loan to finance the roofing services. Their roofing service was very costly, way over than I had anticipated. I highly would not recommend this company to anyone. Their talk was very smooth but I ended up paying the price for it. I have requested them to come back to fix a few unfinished items outside the house but Gabriel did not follow through on his promises. I left a several follow up messages for Gabriel but he hasn't responded to my request. This is very bad business. Please stay away from this company.

First, i am not affiliated with advocate construction, nor had i ever heard of them before Nick from Advocate knocked on my front door. Nick introduced himself, and I pretty much told him to get lost, because years ago at our last house we had a horrific experience with "storm chaser" roofers. However, Nick was politely persistent and asked if he could go up on our roof and just check for storm damage.

I did remember the hailstorm we had earlier in the year (it was mid August at this point) so i reluctantly agreed. When Nick came down off the roof, he said there was definitely hail damage, and he promised he could get it taken care of, through our insurance, for only the deductible. He also said he would take care of contacting the insurance company, and all the headaches that go with it and for us not to worry. It truly sounded like it was too good, to easy to be true. I needed to do my homework, so after getting Nick's business card, I sent him on his way and told him i would call him if all this checked out.

Turns out Advocate Construction is a real company in Milwaukee, and has been there for many years. So, Nick came back a few days later, we picked out shingle and drip edge colors, set a date, and the roof on our house and detached garage was done in two days. There was no garbage, shingles, or nails left in our yard when it was finished, (this was very important because we have a pool) and the crew was very nice. There were a few areas where the 40+ year old siding wasn't sitting right and a couple of mismatched vents. I called Nick and he sent out another small crew and all of this was fixed to my satisfaction, within a week, again by a couple of very nice QC people.

I also need to mention that our insurance company dragged their feet for quite some time in paying the claim to Advocate. This was making me very nervous, and i would call Nick, and every time he told me not to worry, always with a very relaxing demeanor. My wife and i got to know Nick fairly well, he is a super honest and professional man and we are VERY happy with our over a year old roof. Nick stuck to his promises, every one, and everything was paid for by insurance. This was a truly positive experience, and i feel that Nick worked very hard to make this happen so smoothly. I think Nick needs a raise.

I would definitely recommend Advocate Construction. They are amazing with their work and a great team and company. I had a great experience working with Samson on my roof replacement and siding . He explained and walked me through the processes with my insurance company and answered all my questions on the process with the construction. The work was done quickly and they quickly resolved my requested repairs.

I am extremely satisfied with the customer service we have received from Advocate Construction. Brady Baker was professional and courteous. He responded to our requests in a timely manner and helped us through this whole process.
I would definitely recommend Advocate Construction to anyone looking to have siding work done.
Brady and Derek played a crucial part in helping us communicate with our insurance company.
Thank you Brady and Derek, you are both true professionals.

I had Nick from Advocate work with me on getting my roof replaced because of hail damage and a tree that fell on my roof. They did a free inspection and discovered the damage. He then walked me through the insurance claim process and worked with my insurance company on my behalf.
Nick & Advocate made the entire process seamless and stress free for me.
The roof is beautiful, I am very happy

Drew stopped out last September and took a look at our roof. We had damage to our roof after a storm last year. The experience we had with Drew and the Advocate customer service was amazing. Drew was professional, courteous and quick to return our calls. Any of the concerns or questions we had were answered and resolved by Drew and the customer service team. We really appreciate the service that Advocate Construction provided.

Worked with Brady at Advocate as our sales rep after a large hailstorm hit our area. He walked us through the process and insurance claim procedure. He was quick to reply back to all our questions whether text, call or email. The team that did our roof and gutter replacements were on time, courteous and did a great job at cleanup around the house after the job was complete. They also did a good job at protecting our plants and landscaping from damage. Would recommend Brady and Advocate Construction for future jobs.

Early November, Luis S. knocked at my door as a community advocate for the Advocate Construction company. He introduced himself and told me about their roofing contractor services. He asked me about getting a new roof due to the hail storm Milwaukee had in May, and said it would be covered by my home insurance. Luis S. guaranteed me no out-out-pocket cost, except maybe the home insurance deductible. At first I was skeptical because I had not heard about Advocate Construction before that day, but after researching the company and communicating with my insurance agent, I realized then that everything was legitimate! Im so glad to report that the roofers did great job in spite of the unexpected extremely cold weather that we had!! Plus, Advocate Construction customer services team stayed in contact with me until the entire job, including cleanup was completed. Most importantly, a special thanks to Luis S. for his support and service, I wouldn’t have a much needed new roof if it wasn’t for him! I’m very happy the way things turned out and thank you Luis S. and the Advocate Construction team! I will definitely recommend your company!
