Mike did excellent work. He was always responsive to each of my inquiries. He subcontracts with great people. Gave me good recommendations for where to find what I was looking for ( carpet, tile, etc.) I will be using him for future renovations.

We contracted with Trades by Taylor to do a complete remodel on our kitchen. We bought a home with a galley kitchen that had last been updated ~ 30 years ago. The remodel including: opening up kitchen, creating an attached island, new cabinets, and laying new hardwood flooring that matched the original flooring in the house. Mike and his team knew we were crunched for time as we would be moving in within 3 months of starting the project. He and his team were consummate professionals. We stayed in constant contact and issues were resolved quickly.

When it came to design trades, based on availability of materials, cost, and/or a miscommunication, Mike offered timely advice and most of the time we went with his recommendations. An example is in our cabinets. There were supply issues with normal base cabinetry and Mike came up with a quick solution to use base drawers on either side of our range. These are now one of our favorite pieces of the kitchen, they are much more usable than the traditional cabinets would have been and look absolutely fantastic.

The project turned out amazing and is now the heart of our home. We love how the flooring appears to be seamless to everyone, until we point it out that the kitchen flooring is much newer. Mike went above and beyond in finding that flooring for us! The island he designed is wonderful and suits all our needs.

We certainly ran longer than we initially planned, but I have never been involved in any project that completed on time! But Mike often went out of his way to make sure that as we moved in, we had all our basic needs and was able to work around us moving in, to finish up. We will use Mike and his team again!

After scraping a little bubbled paint on my soffit, I found rotten wood and ants. I needed help quickly, so I called a friend for a referral. He suggested I call Mike Taylor. Mike called me back the next day and offered to come take a look the following day. There was extensive damage, so it took 2 days to replace the entire soffit. Mike was reliable and understanding when I asked for a heavier board for the outside. He responded quickly when I sent him a text as to the start time. He completed the job and it looks great. He also did a thorough job of cleaning up the mess. His prices are reasonable and fair. I was so grateful to find a worker with integrity, one who sticks to their word and does quality work. I will definitely call him again for other home projects.

My second experience with Hoover. I have found them to be highly competent and professional. The personnel strive to satisfy and I recommend them without reservation. You will not be disappointed.

Hoover contractors were professional and in constant communication with me during the project and were very responsive to my needs.

I had roof damage from the hail storm in April and that Hoover had repaired for me. I'm pleased with the work that was done but even more pleased with the efforts from Reid Roberts to communicate with me throughout the entire project, and who went the extra mile to make sure I was pleased with the job.

I had a leak under my slab and all the floors in 5 rooms and some of the cabinets in the kitchen had to be removed and replaced. Reid Roberts was the Project Manager and couldn not have done better coordinating with various professional crews to remove and replace my floors, cabinets, baseboards and and then paint the walls. My house is back together now and I couldn't be happier.

Enjoyed working with Brent he was very professional and communication was great and took care of any problem we had. If you choose Hoover to do any work. I would request Brent to be over your project.

I would highly recommend Hoover General Contractors on your next project. The floors at our church were caving in due to rot and deterioration of the existing wood. They replaced all floor joist, sub flooring, and laid new tiles in our Sanctuary in a very timely manner. Hoover General Contractors gets a 5 Star Rating from us.

Clay did a repair for wind damage to some siding on our house. It was done quickly and seems to be good work. Hoover was recommended by our insurance agent and they responded very well

This company, represented by Mr. Greg Lawson, is outstanding in every possible way. They use a superb worker named Tony. Greg and Tony did a prompt, thorough, timely, and professional job on my home. They always called and showed up when they said they would. They had great suggestions and performed the job quicker than I dreamed possible. You will NEVER get a better job by using anyone else. Hoover is simply the very best.

We worked with HGC to replace hard wood flooring and carpet after our washing machine flooded the downstairs of our home. Justin came out to do an estimate and was on time, very easy to work with, and very thorough with his estimate. He communicated clearly with our insurance company and things moved very quickly. Zac was our contractor and we could not have been happier with him. He explained everything that was going to happen very clearly and gave us a realistic timeline that ended up working out just as expected. The best thing about the whole process for us is that Zac was very responsive when we had questions. We have had experiences with other contractors in the past where this was not the case and really, it makes all the difference in the world when you can reliably get in touch with your contractor. The crews that did the work on the house did a great job. We are very happy with our new flooring and carpet and all of the finish work, painting and trim that had to be done. We will definitely use HGC again in the future should the need arise.

After a house fire, Hoover rebuilt the inside of our house. We couldn't have asked for a better contractor to work with. The finished product is amazing and we love our new house! Thanks to Randy and his team, we highly recommend Hoover General Contractors!

I had some unexpected house damage and was sent to Hoover for repairs. After working through initial schedule conflicts, the process was very smooth. Stephen was extremely accomodating, listened to our concerns and helped execute the best repair plan for our family. The crews worked to get the repairs done quickly. We are grateful and would recommend them to others.

I have used Hoover three times. Once for a roof repair/replacement, once for a bathroom remodel and another for some pretty serious water damage. I'll get to the negative first. Our roof repair did not last. It was under a year from the repair and we showed the project manager the new damage when he came out to collect the final payment for the bathroom remodel. He said he would contact us back and never did. It is now past the warranty period and I have not pursued it further as I figure it is a waste of time.
Now, for the good. We had a large portion of our structure with hidden water damage. We could not see it until the windows started to fall. We called Hoover and they had an estimator out in under two weeks. It could have been one but, I honestly can't remember as this was a few months ago. (I have seriously slacked on writing a review.) The project manger, Zac, had to coordinate with our window contractor. The window contractor was not a pleasure to deal with but, Zac navigated their silliness and had his people on site, on time, and working. Zac used a guy named Mike to do the framework. He found and repaired all our damage. His repairs were much better than the original low quality build. He did so as cheaply as possible and because of our budget constraints was able to salvage many parts of the house for reuse. This was of great help to us as this was an unexpected and large expense. If you use Hoover ask for Zac. That guy can make some stuff happen. We are so happy to not have to worry about the house anymore. Thanks Zac!

We had to have our floors redone due to a leak, and it was devastating, working with their team made it easy, and really helped take the stress off. We highly recommend this team!

Hoover GC did an excellent job for us repairing damage from multiple water leaks. The jobsite was in a condo in Madison and we live in Birmingham, so the logistics were somewhat complicated! Reid did a great job communicating with us and helping us avoid long trips to Madison! We highly recommend them!
